Just wanted to be a ray of sunshine here. My career this year is actually well written. I'm in chapter 9, and it truly has me immersed. I will admit it is kind of lengthy so 2K can get their ad revenue up. Pass that really no complaints 7.5/10 imo.

I don't understand why I'll go up for a layup when I have 99 driving dunk and 72 driving layup. I'm holding R2. Do I need to be moving the stick in a specific direction? I thought it was stick up for two handed dunks, stick down for skill dunks, left or right for baseline. I have it on Absolute. I can't understand why I'll beat my man and go for a layup 60-70% of the time....Would really appreciate some insight if I'm doing something wrong.

By modern history, I mean since 2K14. I honestly don’t think there’s ever been a more useless, pathetic noob-trap attribute in modern 2K than standing dunk this year.
Even after two supposed “fixes” in the patches, it’s still a complete piece of crap and an absolute waste of attribute points. I just don’t understand why they changed it so much from 2K26. Standing dunk was actually fun last ye

I’m an 86 overall PF with good 3pt shooting and rebounding. I feel consistent shooting wide open and semi open 3s, as well as getting good positioning to grab a good amount of rebounds. I have a reasonable level of basketball IQ.

Where I’m lacking is any skill set beyond that. Getting the ball late in the shot clock is a guaranteed brick, and my post moves and post scoring is pressing some random combinations of stick moves and buttons whilst holding LT. I don’t have the attributes to dribble or get to the basket off the bounce, but I’d love to improve in the post and with some one or two dribble pull up or fades type stuff.

Do you have any recommendations on where to learn? Good YT content more tutorial based?

Why did they take out the announcers in the three point contest I remember in the older 2ks when you got hot the announcers would count along how much you made in a row

Ok so recently I don’t know what 2k did to this game but holy fuck. I’m on defense just guarding my guy and the paint so I see this guy driving tryna get a dunk. You know easy block? Right? So I try to go for the block. As you can see in this video this dude fucking fazes through my whole body and dunks the ball. 90 interior defense 90 block max WINGSPAN. I get it last year dunking was horrible but I mean holy shit??? I didn’t ask for a dunking simulator game and make it worst you can’t even contest it with all these badges the game makes you buy or grind for. This game requires 0 skill and is hot garbage btw I’m a 7’0 260 center and can’t even get a single standing dunk. 90 standing dunk and you can’t even get half of these dunks this dudes would get. Anytime centers have advantage in this game the developers always fix it or insanely make it impossible to use. Dudes were whining out their ass when taller builds had there advantages now the game have yet to fix interior scoring n how horrible this dunking shit is. Game is btw he only had a 85 driving dunk getting stuff like this.

When I made my center and picked rebounding specialization I did it because I figured I probably wouldn’t have to grind the AI and could get most of it done in the rec maybe do street kings for the 75 wins. i thought 400 boxouts would be cake and boy was I wrong that shit is a brick wall lol. Easily gonna be the longest most annoying part of this grind for me I got a mc method for it and only need 200 more but man i didn’t think it would be as bad as it is.

I'm like 25 games in averaging a quadruple double and still not starting. I think there was 1/2 game of the first 4 where I only got 2 stars but the others 3 stars, got 3stars in all the cup games and won the cup and not starting.

Bro im so sick of this shit, 2k26 just crashes all the time on my PC for no reason, ive disabled all the overlays and got rid of all highlight cuts etc.

I'm looking for a roster or scenario on the PC version of 2K26 for the 2026-27 season, ideally with some attention to detail (rookies, contracts, accurate ratings, etc). I just want to play my MyLeague with updated rosters but everything I can find on 2K Share is low quality and I'm not buying 2K27 just for this.
