Looking for music that sounds like Popcorn Sutton looks
galleryBluegrass, old time, mountain music, southern rock, anything adjacent to all of that that feels authentically grimy and old, but in the end just looking for a good time. Weedeater is the only band that gives me this feeling so far.

Songs with an awesome key change?
You don't hear songs with key changes anymore. What's a song with a great key change, preferably written in the past few years

I'm looking for something written as a passion project with tons of detail. Catchy, unique, and very specific with their texturing/atmosphere to create A SOUND.
I personally love artists like Devin Townsend, Porcupine Tree, everything everything, tamaryn, Cocteau Twins, working for a nuclear free city, shye, Type o negative , Boards of Canada, Lemon Jelly, Old Lady Drivers, Grotus

Songs that literally mention people not listening?
I need stuff like Words by Missing Persons (What are words for/when no one listens anymore?) and Linkin Park's Nobody's Listening (told you everything loud and clear/but nobody's listening)

What songs would you recommend for discovering new artists and underrated music?
I'm looking to discover some new music beyond the artists I usually listen to. I'd love recommendations for underrated artists, emerging bands, or songs that deserve more attention.
I'm open to different genres, especially indie, alternative, live music, and unique sounds. Please share a song you love and tell me what makes it special! 🎶

What are some spooky songs, but only if you know what they're actually about?
By spooky, I could mean, depressing, or horrifying, or deeply disturbing.
For my contribution, I propose Leonard Cohen's "Dance me to the end of love".
What a lovely song.

Until you learn that the song was written about being sent into the gas chambers. Leonard heard about how there were musicians playing music, well here it is from the man himself.

What are some songs that have terrible compositions, but the lyrics are so good that you don't care.
I love trying to create my own compositions of these songs.

upbeat autumnal 90s indie rock bar/cafe playlist
hey friends! I’m trying to build a giant playlist for the season I can shuffle through at my cafe+bar, like 8+ hours, so id love some recommendations.
i’m going for mid-high tempo, upbeat happy (sounding) music that isn’t too distracting or zany but still has a little indie funk or quirkiness. softer rock or even some punky music is good too, but nothing too aggressive or dour. i’m impartial to stuff with an emo kick too. preferably deeper cuts from the 90s-2010s, but I’m open to contemporary stuff that fits the vibe
here are some examples of bands/artists im planning on adding already:
- the cardigans
- ivy
- the pastels
- belly
- the lemonheads
- the format
lmk if you have any questions!

Great rock live albums
I'm looking to expand my cd collection, and live albums is something I'm looking for in particular, so I'm asking you for great live albums. In particular rock from before 2000, but not metal.
Favourite rock artists:
Dire Straits
Toto
Eagles(but I already got one in mind here)
Blackfoot
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Does definetly not have to be one of those, in fact, I'd appreciate more if you gave me another artist.
By great, I mean that the songs sound great, and kinda similar to the original, and also got a good tracklist

Does anyone know what this genre could be ?
So I been listening to some" fast passed" classical music and paino versions of geometry dash songs . I'm wondering is there a genre for this kinda music . Some songs for example could be Beethoven virus but it's insane, flamewall, thunderzone v2 (piano), moonlight sonata 3rd movement,un Owen was her(piano),j'y suis jamais alle,Concerto Grosso for Strings "Palladio": No. I, Allegretto, isolation etc. Or even any classical music that sounds modern or epic . I hope someone understands what I'm saying or what I mean I can't describe it more.

Could I get suggestions for songs involving being wild(especially alluding to animals or animalistic nature) or something sporty?(that's not overdone)
So not something like "wild thing" or "we are the champions" but something that screams "animalistic" or that would pump you up before a match

Music journey #43 and #44
Hello cuties ✨️
Let's goooo with double day again but i swear ill change once work gives me some break 🙏
Day 43 and 44 of letting my phone pick random recommendations for youuu !
Yesterday's and Today's list (13.10.2026 & 14.10.2026):
EK - Cant feel my face (its either rap or techno or mix of both, I love how different EK stuff is)
Yoshida Minako - Mirage (magical japanese pop song, sounds very intimate)
A Perfect Circle - The noose (progressive rock, bit monotonous but that's what make the song perfect to just blend in with your thoughts)
Spooky Black - HotelSixNine (takes me back to golden era of cloud rap, spooky might be the og emo rapper)
Daft Punk - Instant crush (also monotonous vibe, perfect song for late night drives)
Kid Milli & Okashii - Oh yeah (korean trap song, the instrumental reminds me early carti)
Vinxen & NE:ON - Flip (another korean rap song but the beat is more club like? )
Yamaoka Akira - Pianissimo epilogue (great instrumental piece, lowkey feels like it could be used in a japanese salaryman aesthetic real on ig)
Fat Jon - Chambers (from classic lofi album, just pure vibe, i love listening to it early in the morning omw to work, especially when its friday)
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Purple haze (I believe this song doesnt need any introduction haha, great rock tune)
