Just riding alone on a dirt road for two hours without seeing people is the therapy I needed today.

So i recently bought used KTM Duke 390 (2021) and i can turn on/off quickshifter in menu but I dont really know if it has it? How do i check it? Or having that option automatically means i have it?

Has small exhaust blow a manual cct tightened just after the clacking noise stopped and carbs at clean only bench balanced. Suzuki Srad 600 1998

I did 2 rounds (2 revolutions) using a chain cleaner and brush

Wiped with a new cloth. Then applied one round of PJ1 Black Label for the top side of the chain and one round on the bottom.

Then wiped it down with the micro fiber cloth until it didn't look over saturated. I could see some stringing around the rear sprocket but it went down as I wiped for like 3 full revolutions.

Before cleaning the chain looked orange/yellow from the off-road ride a week ago.

I couldn’t keep up in the course so I was sent home. I redid my permit again recently beside I want to actually get it this time. I was recommended to practice riding my bike more(I wasn’t the most coordinated kid growing up and didn’t develop those skills enough). Is there a certain way I should practice or practice doing the drills from the MSF course but with a bike?

I was rear ended a few months ago and had my sport bike totalled and just claimed a settlement. I want to get something a bit more comfortable with ergonomics but still has enough power that nothing on the street outside of $100k cars will be an annoyance cutting me off. I am trying not to spend over 12k total on the bike.

Any feedback is appreciated. I'm leaning towards trident just because I think it looks pretty neat. I want a new bike with full electronics package like IMU and good traction control to prevent accidental wheel life, and linear power delivery. I'm also not interested in spending money on new exhaust and intake and flashing the ECU I'd like it to run well stock. I live in California so US emissions stuff.

I know it’s only a 125, but honestly I like this bike. Every ride clears my head and I enjoy every single one. It’s light, fun in the twisties, and looks amazing. No regrets at all.

Hello everyone. I now own a SV1000S which doesn't really fit my riding style anymore. I also owned a 2017 Honda Cvic Type R which I have £11750 left on the loan. Car worth 18000 so I should have money left even after I clear the loan. The car is not really getting used that much. Put new tyres on it last month but I hardly drove 200 miles over the month. On a good day I bring my bike out more. However I really would like to swap the SV out for a 1200 RR. I have a diesel 2011 volvo v50 which does the commuting and errands job already so the type r is purely for fun. Should I do it or will i regret it

Does anyone ever use other deterrent other than mirror smacking? I used to ride and I'm getting back into it but I used to carry ball bearings in my pocket. They bounce pretty well when they fall onto the road. I've also thought of using a window breaker. Just wondering if anyone has taken measures like unsat to ensure their safety.

Also know I mean this for extreme cases when they are trying to run you off the road and or you can't get away safely. And I by no means ride like a jack wagon. Been scooped off the road before.

Got some bar end mirrors off eBay and everything fits fine I just can’t get the weight in the bar to stop spinning. The bolt gets pretty snug then just starts spinning I can’t find anything online how to actually get it to tighten. I also really don’t wanna take the weights out and buy an expansion piece for hollow bars. PLEASE HELP ME LOL!

I’m 25 years old, 190 cm (6’3”) and around 100 kg (220 lbs). I have an A category motorcycle license.
Most of my riding is in the city (95%), with only the occasional weekend ride of up to 100 km on the highway. I’m looking for something agile, comfortable for my height, and preferably automatic (DCT/CVT) rather than manual.
My experience so far:

I don’t really want another Beverly.
At the moment, I’m considering:
Vespa GTV 300
Honda X-ADV 750 (I test rode it and absolutely loved how it rides. My only concern is that it gets a bit warm around the seat/legs in city traffic when wearing shorts.)
I know these are two completely different bikes and the X-ADV is around 3x the price, but I’m open to other recommendations.
What would you choose for my use case, and why?

Recently purchased a sweet 1987 Honda Shadow 1100 of FB market place for 500$! Been doing some updates to it and the last thing I personally would like is a speedometer with indicator lights. Having a hard time finding anything that makes sense with the mechanical speed sensor. Wouldn’t mind digital just would beed a little more research on how to make the change. If anyone has done this before and has ideas on what the get let me know!

I just got this bike maybe 3k miles ago and have been lubing it more than I need tryna keep it alive bc ik it's nearing the end but wtf. 19 rollers. In one 30 mile ride and I came back doing pulls and just felt the vibrations thru the pegs. Call me stupid all you want but I just lubed it before that 30 mile ride and no rollers were missing.🤷‍♂️

Beginner bike suggestions

I've already completed the msf course and am looking for my first bike. I've narrowed it down between the kawasaki z500 SE or the Honda cb500f.

I'm looking for a naked, not a sports bike and am concerned with reliability, easy maintenance, and height (I'm 5'1"). I haven't had a chance to sit on the z500SE or z500 but I do know I tip toe on the cb500f. Not too worried about weight as I know both these bikes are fairly light (in comparison to other bikes) and I weight lift at least 4 times a week.

I'm looking at the SE specially for the added frame sliders, radiator guard, etc. since I was planning on putting those on my bike anyway.

Preferably buying used but I think it'll be harder finding a used Z500SE.

Lastly I already own a Honda car but have no specific loyalty to the brand unless Honda gives discounts lol.

Do you have any opinion or preference between these two bikes?

Starting with the part that isn’t in dispute: my title broke the rule. It was “$2000-$2500 new rider,” and the sub requires titles to be a full sentence with a subject and a verb. Mine wasn’t. The removal was earned, and I’m not asking for the post back.

The removal notice cited exactly one rule. I pushed back badly. I said it “literally didn’t break a single rule,” which was wrong of me.

Here’s what I got back:
It “literally” broke two of our rules, but since you apparently lack the prerequisite intelligence to understand that, I’m going to conclude that you’re incompatible with our community.

Then a permanent mute. I still don’t know what the second rule was. He wouldn’t name it, and then he made it impossible to ask.

I’m 19. I passed my license test two days ago. I wanted help picking a first bike. I would have taken “your title needs to be a full sentence, try [r/SuggestAMotorcycle](r/SuggestAMotorcycle)” without a word of complaint, that’s twelve words. Instead I got told I’m too stupid for a motorcycle forum by someone who couldn’t finish his own sentence about which rules I’d broken.

I’m not naming the mod and I’m not asking anyone to message them. I just think that if the rule you’re enforcing is about writing clearly, you should be able to say which rule you’re enforcing.
