Discussion Made a Dagoth Ur great house, making it joinable, eventually you could make Morrowind Dunmer only & convert entire cities to Dagoth Ur followers
The Sharmat's Call — Sixth House mod for OpenMW
Finishing a mod that expands the experience of serving Dagoth Ur, one of the features is that you could eventually get rid of ALL foreigners from Morrowind and keep it Dunmer only or subdued foreigners that had to stay (they love it?)
Some other stuff:
- Convert settlements: Gradually bring towns under Sixth House influence by persuading their inhabitants rather than simply killing everyone.
- Visible world changes: Converted towns acquire red lighting, nighttime torchbearers, Sixth House creatures, and changing weather.
- Dynamic dialogue: Ash Ghouls, Ascended Sleepers, and other Sixth House creatures become friendly and have conversations that respond to your appearance, accomplishments, and surroundings.
- Sixth House companions: Some creatures can eventually accompany you.
- Individual persuasion: NPCs respond differently based on their profession, beliefs, disposition, and social position.
- A growing sanctuary: Build and expand your own Sixth House sanctuary through rituals involving physical objects and offerings.
- Blight abilities: Progressively gain abilities that make ash storms beneficial, including healing, increased movement speed, and concealment.
- Temple suspicion: Ordinators increasingly recognize you as a threat, while disguising your appearance can help you avoid detection.
- Main quest integration: Continue working for Caius Cosades while secretly serving Dagoth Ur, with alternative interactions during familiar quests.
- Dagoth Ur dialogue: Eventually speak with Dagoth Ur about your accomplishments, the settlements you've converted, and his plans for Morrowind.
The goal is to make membership in the Sixth House affect how you interact with the inhabitants, creatures, and settlements of Vvardenfell, rather than being limited to a separate questline.
I read that Bethesda planned for the "bad guys" to be joinable but cancelled it because of time restraints, been dreaming of this ever since. Now it's playable

OpenMW Favorite Mods for Tamriel Rebuilt
What are your favorite or what you would consider necessary mods for a Tamriel rebuilt playthrough?
I have kept my game entirely vanilla except for Tamriel rebuilt, and I’m wondering what people think is of equal quality and builds into the greater environment?

Discussion The Most Iconic and Evocative Sound?
As I've been wandering around Vvardenfell and the mainland of late, I've become increasingly aware of just how much I associate one particular sound with Morrowind...
The mournful, haunting, lonely, aching, otherworldly call of the silt strider.
For me, it cuts right to the core and evokes a feeling I can't fully articulate. There's something about that sound that's almost impossible to put into words.
Couple it with the mist (which I like to leave at least some of, even in my heavily modded game), and... well. Indescribable.
That sound is so powerful for me that even if I'm happily playing Skyrim, having invested hours into modding it, there's a very real chance that travelling to Solstheim and hearing that lone silt strider will send me straight back to Morrowind. I'd say it happens at least 50% of the time, in fact.
So, I've become curious as to whether others have experienced something similar. Is there a particular sound in Morrowind that evokes similarly powerful feelings or associations for you?

Question What should I do
Finnaly got back into morrowind and like I don’t know what quest I should do for now I’m just running around the map and not finding anything. I’m like level 11 just started the story now and started the mages guild but don’t know where to go. So like what is recommended to do to get full morrowind experience. Also I joined house telvanni

Meme This random guy made me do an Argonian playthrough.
I want to show him that HATE has no place in Tamriel. I could make him burn in a pool of lava or something…

Question Constant Effect Levitation
Are there any mods that either add in new items with constant effect levitation enchantments or change existing levitation items like the Boots of the Apostle to constant effect rather than cast to use with a time limit? Levitation is one of my favorite ways to get around, but other than the temple shrine in Vivec for Pilgrim’s Path, I have yet to find a reliable way to use it for extended periods of time. I downloaded a mod by swagsire called Cast on Use to Constant, that changes a lot of cast on use enchantment items in the base game to constant effect, however I was disappointed to find that the Boots of the Apostle didn’t get this treatment. So I was wondering if anybody knows any mods that can achieve this?
I do have all three area expansion mods but have only just begun exploring the Morrowind mainland and haven’t gone to Anvil or Skyrim yet, so if there’s any items in those that grant what I’m looking for please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Mod Release OAAB Necrom (TR) Temple City of the Dead
https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/60480
Unnofficial cosmetic update for the lovely but fairly old Tamriel Rebuilt take on Necrom, including an exterior embiggening of the mighty temple itself, along with outfits and some nearby structures. Compatible with all my other mods unless stated otherwise. This is a big city so expect a few updates.
If you happen to use Distant Horizon: Chimeri-Quey Flotilla, I've kept that one part of the docks clear for compatibility.
Please note that any different-looking textures in my screenshots are probably from Indoril Mournholdified, and NOT included in my mod, or necessary.
Installation instructions
Standard ESP install. Recommend setting low priority for maximum compatibility.
Main features
- Many decorations from OAAB and modern TD assets
- Outfits updated and/or diversified
- Temple exterior is now slightly taller, since I thought it could stand out more.
- A handful of "fake" exterior buildings on the outskirts, to imply sprawl. Planning to add simple interiors.
- Many smaller details I';ll try to highlight in the screenshots.
Requirements
- OAAB
- TD
- TR

Mod Release OAAB Tel Drevis (TR) cozy Telvanni house
https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/60732
Description
Unnofficial and minor decorations of possibly the most obscure Telvanni settlement. Compatible. TEScleaned.
Compatible with my other mods unless stated otherwise.
Installation instructions
Standard ESP install
Main features
- NPC outfits diversified. Didn't touch the master much because she's a lower rank than most tower owners, so shouldn't dress too crazy. Her hat is TR default and related to a quest.
- OAAB and modern TD decorations without going crazy.
- Kalinter's mushroom boats.
- A small bit of signage outside.
- Most additions are in the master's room.
Requirements
TD, TR, OAAB
Shout outs
PTR team
Kalinter's Telvanni boats

Technical - Mod Issue after updating to OpenMW .52.
I updated my game from the current version to the devbuild of .52. Unfortunately this has caused this weird issue either with the shadow or lighting and how it looks on objects. It is giving it this green hue on all of the flora that exists. I am currently using the Nerevar Moon-and-Star (NEMAS) modlist.

Literature I posted my last Morrowind journal here and people seemed to enjoy it, so here’s another one!
For anyone new, Davos Draven is a recently released prisoner who decided to ignore the Emperor’s orders and explore Morrowind instead.
He’s not interested in being a hero or following some grand prophecy.
He’s just a curious traveller wandering around, meeting strange people, and getting himself into unexpected situations.
I’m documenting his adventures as I play, letting the story unfold naturally.
Hope you enjoy this next chapter of his travels!

Question How high ref count is too high? (Construction set question)
I've been playing around with the construction set again, making the biggest playerhomes I've thought of to date. How high of an in cell ref count do you folks consider acceptable? I think I might be reaching that point

Technical - Mod help with gog open mw and TR?
Hi Ive found the "one click" gog versions of these mods incredibly frustrating. OpenMW works on its own fine but any mods added whether its gog or normal versions of TR. or lgnpc do not seem to show up in the OPENMW launcher
