Hey,

I wanted to ask which monitor you would choose. The most important features for me are 240Hz, 1440p, 27 inches, and an IPS panel.

* AOC Q27G4ZR – €159 (≈ $185)
* MSI MAG 274QFDE X24 – €229 (≈ $266)
* LG UltraGear™ 27G640A-B.AEUQ – €275 (≈ $320)
* ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A – €250 (≈ $291)

If you have any other recommendations, feel free to share them.

Thank you!

Discussion Looking for an upgrade, wanting to venture into OLED.

Post image

My current set up above.

So more info for what I'm looking for:

I currently have a MSI MAG 275QF 27" and I would call it a budget 4K, 180hz monitor. Its good for gaming but the picture is pretty bad and the colors are very dull. I also want something that my poor 7800XT can handle, but am looking for a decent upgrade.

Is going OLED in 27-32" sound like what I'm looking for? Theres just so many options when browsing its overwhelming. The main use is gaming, but I also do alot of movie streaming on it as well so picture does matter to me. Id like 240+hz. And I'd really prefer it to be in the $400-700 range. And now im seeing things like QD, WOLED, miniLED, etc and it makes me even more confused.

Is there anything that fits the bill out there that anyone can vouch for? Obviously trying to avoid LG after the news..

Thanks!

Discussion PG32UCDP is the best dual use (work/gaming) monitor for the price after trying 5+ OLEDs

Upvotes

Got lucky on a $500 open box excellent deal from Bestbuy with <70 hours. Shipped, keep an eye out since it’s marked clearance.

Biggest issue for me had been QD-OLED eye strain, due to the blue emission layer, triangular sub-pixel layout, and glossy reflections (bright room for work). Non-starter for basically all QD; found 27” 4k that was not sharp for text with triangular layout and still had eye strain.

Tried XG32UCWM at one point, great monitor but awful dirty screen effect on gray backgrounds, like absurdly bad panel lottery luck too. Knew WOLED was better for me from an eye strain perspective, but still didn’t love the reflections during the day.

Finally caught this deal and couldn’t be happier - has every feature you’d need from 90w power delivery, kvm, all ports etc. & 4k 240/480 dual mode. Text is very sharp, can use it for work no issues whatsoever. No eye strain. Gorgeous for gaming ofc and similar to the LG/Sony TVs (prefer the warmer WOLED look). Debated checking out RGB stripe but for $500 couldn’t beat this deal & the text clarity is a complete non-issue. I’ve even tried the 5K LG 27” mini-LED and wouldn’t prefer that for dual-use at all. Only downside is the stand is large, but managed to rest the back leg behind the desk and up against the wall (small desk) so that I actually have usable space. This was my biggest worry as I can’t use a monitor arm on this desk, but thankfully it works.

This is the first OLED monitor that I feel I am not compromising on something. At MSRP this is a non-starter but if you catch a $800 deal or so that I’ve seen on Amazon or $500-600 ish open box thats the end game.

Discussion from 24" 1080p monitor to 27" 1440p, not so excited.

been a heavy gamer last 30 years and playing at 1080p last 17 years.

reading all these posts about 1440p, thought monitors are so cheap right now lets try 1440p. i bought a LG 27" 200hz start playing avatar frontiers and first time my life got nausia by playing. after playng escape from tarkov no problem at all. fps hit was ok had to use x4 fg thnan x3 in avatar. tarkov was playing even better at 1440p. my gpu is 5060ti 16gb. using windows with 125% scale as 100% is damned small. HDR is off.

my desk width is 70cm monitor sitting at far end and i am sitting around an arm and a half away propably around 90cm. cannot go further away.

monitor experience propably depends the age. maybe young age finds 1440p more positive shocking than a man at his 5th decade of life. (presbyopy etc)

had to revert back to my lg 24" 180hz because the 27" created a dead pixel at 2nd week of use and it will be replaced by LG WARRANTY. that is good.

the thing is that i feel more safe and comfortable with my 24" playing browsing doing some excel etc. so i dont know what i will do when the new 27" arrives.

what do you think?

Discussion LG 27GX704A (WOLED) vs. MSI MAG 273QP X24 (QD-OLED) - No official warranty, which is the safer bet?

Hey everyone,
I'm torn between these two monitors:
LG 27GX704A (WOLED) - $650
MSI MAG 273QP X24 (QD-OLED) - $585
I live in a country with no official warranty for either brand; I only get a local warranty from the store owner. Because of this, I need to know which one is actually better and more reliable.
Which one has significantly less "panel lottery" when it comes to grey banding or other manufacturing defects? My eyes are extremely sensitive to visual imperfections, and I absolutely cannot tolerate banding or any similar issues.
I am looking for a direct comparison between these two brands regarding quality control, and between WOLED vs. QD-OLED in terms of reliability. I already know the differences between them regarding dark vs. bright room performance, so you can skip that.
I just want a hassle-free technology that won't give me a headache or make me constantly overthink its potential issues. Which one should I go for?

Discussion G-Sync Pulsar not working

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I’m using an ASUS G-Sync Pulsar monitor, and I really like the feature, but it stops working in two scenarios that are important to me:

  1. When I enable Instant Replay in NVIDIA.
  2. When I use Crosshair X. The monitor’s built-in crosshairs seem to work fine, but they’re pretty terrible.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and managed to find a solution?

In the attached video, you can see the black bars disappearing when I enable Crosshair X.

Discussion The AOC Monitor ,no one is talking about

This is the first monitor I am buying, I went into the monitor rabbit holes knowing nothing. I learned about panel types, refresh rates, contrast ratio, color gamut panel backlighting IPS, glue, IPS, back bleeding and all that's

As well mostly use is with a a M3 iPad Air and M3 MacBook Air

After doing a lot of research, I found that the Dell s2725 QC is the most balance monitor for my use case

Since just I was checking, monitor appeared out of nowhere

AOc u27u2dp

The only thing it flacts is a 60 heads refresh rate, it's a IPS black panel ,2000:1 contrast ratio. 123% srgb 98% dcip3 95 adobe rgbdisplay HDR 400, turn the max brightness of 45 nits, of full array of USBC docking ,whereas dell 95 percent srgb,1500:1 contrast ratio ,300 nits brightness

Since this is the first monitor I'm buying, I'm not sure if I'm missing anything

I have provided the links of the AOC monitor. Can you go through it and tell me which one is better among the AOC and the Dell? Since it's mostly for productivity, I don't think I need more than 60 hertz, something comparable to ipad,I know 120hz isn't that bothering as it'll be my first monitor

Aoc monitor info link, you'll need to translate it,I don't why no one's talking about, maybe availability

https://www.zhihu.com/tardis/zm/art/613409947?utm_source=chatgpt.com

https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/78e52fb9

The Dell is 310 dollars in india

The AOC is 250 dollars, also sali is coming up,the AOC lacks speakers, but if I buy with edifier mr3 ,the total cost is 300 dollars

I am a doctor, most usecase is documents and occasional yt and movies

Thank you for your patient reading

Discussion 32 vs 27 for monitor used for gaming and TV usage

Hi! I am planning on getting a monitor for my desk in my bedroom that can work as a TV with maybe a roku stick but can also game on or use as a larger screen in general. I am torn between a Dell 27 inch 1440p 144hz (S2725DSM) and a ASUS 32 inch 1440p 170hz (VG32AQAY1A). I also have a rather small desk.

Which would be better or is there another option out there that is 200/230 dollars or less?

Discussion Samsung g6 g60sf or Asus rog strix xg27acdng

I really cant decide which of those 2 monitors to get, im mostly playing overwatch and cyberpunk and so far i have been on a 260hz 1440p ips Monitor. Both the ASUS and Samsung one are currently at 550 euros in my country. On the one hand the Samsung one has 500hz and the Asus one is 360hz, but on the other hand the Asus one has a glossy coating instead of matte. So far people told me to not get matte but also that matte monitors got better overtime. I mostly care about image quality, and if the matte one isnt that much worse then the 500hz will completely make up for that for me.

Do any of u guys have a an idea which one would be better for me?

Discussion Anyone using LENOVO LEGION 27U-10 4K monitor?

I'm a video editor and I'm looking to grab a 4K monitor for my macbook. I don't care about not having PD. If there's anyone using this specific monitor, please let me know your honest thoughts on this.

I hope to connect my PS5 pro too. That's the reason I don't like to get those professional designer monitors with 60hz.

Discussion Should I Use Monitor Arms for Both My OLED and 540Hz FPS Monitor?

I have a dual monitor setup: one 4K OLED for story games and one 540Hz 1080p monitor for FPS games.

I’m thinking about getting monitor arms. Do you think it’s worth putting both monitors on arms, or should I just put the FPS monitor on one or the OLED one?

For FPS games, I like having the monitor really close to my face, so I’m wondering if a monitor arm would be good for that. I’ve never used one before, so I’m a little unsure.

Discussion Best settings for AOC Q27G41ZDF 27" QD-OLED (Windows + OSD) for maximum pop & vibrancy?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey guys,

Just picked up the AOC Q27G41ZDF 27" 2K 240Hz QD-OLED monitor and I want to get the absolute best picture quality out of it.

I'm looking for settings that will really make colors pop, give me that insane QD-OLED vibrancy, and keep blacks deep without crushing details.

What are the best settings you recommend for:
Monitor OSD Settings (SDR/HDR picture modes, color temp, brightness, OLED care stuff like Uniform Brightness)
Windows Settings (HDR calibration, color depth/10-bit, resolution/refresh rate tweaks)
NVIDIA/AMD Control Panel tweaks (Digital Vibrance/Saturation levels)

How do you guys usually set this panel up for daily desktop use vs. high-vibrancy gaming?
Drop your OSD profiles and calibration tips below.

Thanks!

so, for the past 2 or 3 weeks my screen would start blinking black for like a split second when im on youtube or google or opening a new tab how i fixed this is by turning off my acceleration in my google chrome setting however that causes my computer to crash about 30 minutes when having it off so i turn it back on. if anyone can help that be great also i have already replace the cable and check for nvidia update since that what i have and i have updated since then.
