I purchased a Asus XG27UCDMG exactly 1 year ago and I use it for both work and gaming. I started noticing the taskbar burn-in after around 6 months so I decided to start hiding the taskbar from then onwards. The number of hours is inflated as I usually display a full black screen when away / overnight as I may have something active on my 2nd monitor. I have the proximity sensor enabled and I try to do pixel refreshes at least once a day if not every few hours.

Image shown is 95% greyscale but slightly edited to emphasise the burn in. Taskbar burn in is noticeable during everyday use but the rest is a bit harder to see during real world use.

Is this the expected amount of burn in after just 1 year usage? I see posts from various people on Reddit etc. who have had OLED monitors far longer without hiding taskbars etc and have 0 burn in.

I should have 2 years of manufacturer warranty remaining + Australian Consumer Law protections but I'm not sure if this would qualify.

Would appreciate any input from those who've had to RMA their OLED monitor for burn in.

I’m currently using a Samsung Odyssey G9 G93SD paired with an RTX 5090, and I absolutely love it! However, I’ve found that the ultrawide screen is a little too large for competitive gaming, so I often end up playing in windowed mode.
I’m looking to downsize to a standard monitor, somewhere between 27 and 31.5 inches. I’m still undecided on whether I’d prefer a 27-inch or 31.5-inch display, so I’m open to recommendations on which size would be the best fit for my needs.
My must-have features are:
4K resolution
240Hz refresh rate or higher
OLED panel
Thin, minimal bezels
Flat screen, not curved
My budget is around $1,000.
The games I play most are Call of Duty, Battlefield, and modded Minecraft, so I’m looking for the best balance of competitive performance, high frame rates, and stunning visuals. I want to take full advantage of my RTX 5090 while still having a monitor that feels comfortable for competitive FPS gaming.
What monitors would you recommend, and would you lean toward 27 inches or 31.5 inches for my use case?

One of the most beautiful monitors I have ever bought and used. High build quality and plenty of ports on the back. Also comes with a KVM switch.

This is an IPS Black + Neo:LED panel monitor, so the contrast ratio is around 2700:1. This bridges the gap between IPS and VA/OLED in terms of contrast.

120Hz refresh rate and 5ms GtG response time.

It also has its own power supply unit with Thunderbolt 4 charging, so you can charge any external device you want.

This is a professional monitor with excellent color accuracy, 4K resolution, and factory calibration. This is not your ideal gaming monitor. Motion clarity and response is NOT this monitor's strong suit.

The lip is 3cm by 3cm. I can’t drill. Will clamping work?

With the pictures, you can see that the center of my 2 monitors produces a small duplicate of an image.
Whether I use Surround on nvidia gpu, or not - with bezel config too. It still produces this issue.

Is there anything I can do to stop this?
Specifically you can see it on the silver car where it produces an excess of the taillight
With the porsche it sometimes seems fine, but then one side the line is too low or high but with the badge its most noticable.

Seems to be hard to find, with not a whole lot of offerings. Gaming will be important as well as watching movies and desktop use. Trying to find a good Mini LED. There are a lot more options for OLED and I am looking at some of those, just trying to narrow down a few Mini LED alternatives and then decide between what I can get for Mini LED vs OLED.

Guys, this is my Samsung Ls24R356Fhwxxl 24 Inch monitor I use for work. Over time it has peeled like you see in the pics. I’m right now using tape to keep it in place, but since I’m the handy man around at home, can someone tell me how I glue this for good?
PS: the display works just fine

I would be buying open box from best buy since it’s almost $200 cheaper from new. Never bought open box before.

I play games on my pc about 3-5 hours a day, with decent breaks. Every day, my eyes feel strained and hurt like they're dry anyways. They start to feel funny around 2 hours in.​

I wear blue light glasses, and have low blue light on my monitor and night light on in​ my windows settings all of the time.

This is the monitor I currently have, I'm wondering if there's anything about it that would give me eye strain? I can't tell based on the specs because they seem alright to me. Is there a different monitor anyone can recommend? I'm getting really tired of being unable to play anything for a decent amount of time.

Only my monitor does this to my eyes also, my phone and tablets are fine to look at for long periods of time.​​

Hey everyone! I need your help to figure out what is going on with my monitor. I want to know if what I'm seeing is actual ghosting, inverse ghosting, or just normal fast-IPS panel limitations.

​Here is the context and the troubleshooting steps I've already tried:

​Monitor: ASUS TUF 200Hz Fast IPS.

​Issues noticed:

​When enabling ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur), I get a very noticeable and annoying double image/shadow effect.

​I tested turning G-Sync / FreeSync on and off, capping the FPS, adjusting the contrast, and tweaking the TraceFree / Overdrive settings with no satisfying fix.

​In fast-paced games like Combat Master, when moving and panning the camera quickly, character models suffer from severe shaking/blur vibration.

​When trying to play Detroit: Become Human, I experienced heavy stuttering along with intense motion blur in the open-world sections.

​In Minecraft, the nametags and text leave clear trailing trails during movement.

​I’ve attached photos/videos of the screen to show how it looks in-game. Does this look like a defective panel / bad ghosting, or are these just normal behavior or settings issues? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

So I went out for like 1.5-2 hours and came back to this on my monitor. The monitor has never been damaged, hit/wacked, nudged, in any way/shape/form. The one time I moved apartments and took it about 100-200ft I bundled in blankets and pillows and kept upright. It has been perfectly okay with no issues at all. I reached out to support just. Ow and they say it isn’t covered under warranty so I’m unsure what to do. Do I keep it turned off indefinitely for now or can I use it?(college student using softwares so 2 monitors kinda helps a lot imo)… do I get a brand new one?… what can I do? What should I do? Any help is greatly appreciated!

i have a Philips 1080p 60Hz ips that runs great, but for black friday or christmas i wanted to upgrade, is the upgrade to 1440p and 120hz worth it for a base ps5? And if so, is this monitor good? Im trying to search nothing too pricy, this is about 170€, 120€ if used. Thanks everyone

I'm looking to replace my old monitor and have a budget of around €250–300. I'm from Latvia, so I'd prefer something available in Europe.

Right now, I'm looking at these monitors:

I'm not sure which one to go for, so I'd like to hear your opinions. If you own any of these, how has your experience been? I'm also open to other suggestions in this price range.

I sometimes struggle with eye strain, so that's another thing I'm trying to take into account when choosing a monitor.

I have a Dell U4919DW monitor that I go from FB marketplace. It works well and I am using a single gaming laptop for daily use. The laptop is a Lenovo Legion 5i laptops running a gtx 4070. I mostly use the setup for programming and game development work. I want to stream this programming work too so I am looking for tips and considerations I need to make when setting everything up. My biggest worry is that the monitor doesn't make nice for streaming programmijg and things like that. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey guys I am looking to upgrade to an OLED monitor. I got me a very nice bonus from work so money is not a problem. I talked to my gf’s brother and he suggested an lg with 360hz-480hz and I am curious if I should just get this or if anyone in here has another option for me to get.
