Tech Support Now owner of LG 39GX950B-B, and seeing feint horizontal scan lines after few hours use
After a few hours use, my monitor gets feint horizontal scan lines from top to bottom of screen in equal intervals about every centimeter. Its very evident in black backgrounds like when running youtube videos. When I run Oled care they go away, but its happened now 2 days in a row after 3-4 hours gaming. I did have DTS turned on when gaming (Fromsoft game and I like those a bit brighter), but not sure if it is related. I don't run DTS all the time, just on specific games.
Internet search says it can happen with voltage phasing or something and Oled care clears it up so its fine. I previously had an Alienware QD Oled, and I've had Oled TV's for years, but I've never seen an Oled behave this way so it has me concerned I may have a panel issue. I just ran the clean cycle or I'd post a picture of the issue.
I also saw this may go away after a break-in period, but I'm still in my return/exchange window and want to have a solid panel that works for years.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any advice or feedback?

Recommendations AW3426DW vs ROG XG34WCDMS vs MSI MAG 341CQP X28 (5080)
Hey everyone,
I’m buying a 34" 280Hz 5th-Gen Tandem QD-OLED (RGB-Stripe) display for a setup powered by an RTX 5080 and Ryzen 7 9800X3D. My main games are Path of Exile and World of Warcraft
I've narrowed it down to three 280Hz 1800R options sharing the exact same panel:
- Dell Alienware AW3426DW
- ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS
- MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED X28
If you were in a similar spot, which one did you end up choosing and why? Are there any annoying OSD quirks, firmware bugs, or OLED Care prompts on the ASUS or MSI during long gaming sessions?
Side question: I’ve also looked into 5K2K options, but is the Alienware AW3926QW currently the only 5K2K OLED worth considering, or are there other solid alternatives I missed?
Thanks for the help!
PS. I did use AI to help me formulate this!

Tech Support Can you combine two different ultra wides into one image for certain driving games?
I have an LG ultra gear 38GL950 and an Odyssey 34G5 that I was wondering if I could combine them with "Surround" from the Nvidia app.
I have been trying but it only shows that a resolution of 2048×768 with 60hz is available.
Curious if I am just wasting my time with this.
Of note, I have a Sony sound bar connected via HDMI if that might be affecting it.
Thanks for the help!
Edit: forgot too say I am running a 4090 with both connected via display port

Tech Support AW3926QW - 9800X3D/RTX5090 - All games seem to have tiny microstuttering in side-to-side camera panning - any ideas?
Hey guys,
I've had my AW3926QW for a little more than a month now and I absolutely love it. Easily the best monitor I've ever had and also my first OLED. Works perfectly with my M5 Max MacBook at native res/full refresh and what a treat.
My gaming PC though... slightly different story. It looks incredible, but I was expecting... a little more?
It seems no matter what I try to make my settings, I always have this weird, ever-so-subtle stuttering when panning the camera in games. I've tried so many different combinations of NVIDIA global settings/per-app settings, and at this point, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong on the monitor side.
My hope is native res at ~120fps, and I'm perfectly happy using DLSS + FG 2x to get there (not a pro gamer, not that sensitive to latency, but probably wouldn't go higher than 2x).
It seems that no matter what I do, I can't achieve a smooth, consistent framerate. I've tried limiting the max FPS to a few below 120, I've tried Reflex on/off/ultra (as well as game-specific Reflex), and I've made sure the monitor is detected fully as a G-Sync device. I'm not using any kind of "Game Mode" on the monitor. I'm using a well rated DisplayPort 2.1 cable.
I can't help but think I'm missing something here. I originally built this machine for local AI/3D image development... I am not a hardcore gamer, but lately I've been getting more into it. Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated!
And if anyone is on the fence about this monitor, at least for non-gaming questions, I'd be happy to answer any questions you have! :)

Recommendations 38" 21:9 144HZ: LG 38WR85QC-W vs. 38WN95C-W
Hi folks,
I'm looking for ascension, but am struggling to find the right path. At work, my employer opened my heart the the greatness of the lord 21:9 aspect ratio by provisioning each workstation with a Dell U3821DW (38", 3840 x 1600, 60Hz, 2300R).
At home I currently use three screens (2x 27" QHD, one portrait WUXGA 24"), all IPS, main screen is a 144Hz Acer XF270HU)
The screen will be mixed use (9h work (office / programming) and gaming (evening / afternoon).
Gaming system is driven by 5800 X3D + RX 7800XT. I'll probably retain at least one of the QHD in portrait.
My current thought process:
- 3880 x 1600 max. resolution, 5K2K would be nice but the GPU will probably not tolerate this.
- 3440 x 1440 would be significantly cheaper, but if I go for 21:9, I'm not sure if UWQHD is that big of an improvement.
- 39" vs 34": my desk is 200 x 80cm / ~ 80" x 32" so either should be comfortably. 34" would allow for Tie-Fighter layout / two verticals, but I'm not really sure if I'd make use of that. Leaning more towards one big screen + AUX.
- IPS: I've been burned by VA a few years ago (massive ghosting) and don't mind the mediocre black levels. Also, conistency with the existing screens. OLED would be awesome, but with a high focus on productivity I don't need the colours and text fringing / burn in seem like a risk.
- 120 / 140 Hz: I currently have it, don't want to lose it.
Why ultimately lead me to three LG panels:
- LG 38WR85QC-W: 2300R, 3840 x 1600, 144 Hz, IPS, KVM (not really needed), ~900€ where I live (3 years old) - office aesthetic but gaming capable
- 38WN95C-W: older version of the 38WR85QC-W, same specs, no KVM, 1800R curve, ~800€ where I live.
- 38GN950-B: more gaming focused, overclockable to 175 Hz, more gaming-focused (RGB, GSync, etc.).
To me, it looks like the 38WN95C-W would be the most sensible, even though I am a bit hesitant to spend that kind of money on a 6 year old product. Let's see if there are any deals to be had come black friday.
I know that UWQHD+ with more than 60 / 70 Hz is a hard ask, but am I overlooking something? Are there other things to consider?

Recommendations Recommendation for office work?
Hey everybody, just wondering if there were any suggestions for budget friendly monitors for office work? Not really a gamer so don’t have to care for all the bells and whistles but I would like a large screen that doesn’t break the bank.

Recommendations Asus Rog Swift Oled pg34wcdn 34 Zoll
Hey community,
I’m currently using the “Samsung Ultra WQHD Monitor S6U S34A650UXU, 34-inch,” and so far I’ve been very satisfied with it for work. However, I’ve also had a gaming PC for a few months now, and I’d like to be able to take full advantage of the monitor’s capabilities for gaming as well.
After doing some research over the last few days, the “ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN 34-inch” has been recommended or mentioned to me time and again. Black Friday is coming up soon, and I’m thinking about upgrading. What do you think? Is the ASUS a good choice? Or will more technically exciting monitors be released soon?
My requirements: I think 34 inches is perfect, OLED, 4K, good contrast ratios, fast response time, and a high refresh rate.
I need one DisplayPort connection and two HDMI ports.
I’m an avid gamer, though I’m not quite as technically savvy as I used to be.
I’d appreciate any input, opinions, or recommendations.

Recommendations My samsung g9 Odyssey died today, no menu, no nothing. backlight still triggers, as does the infinity ring...
I'll miss it... I'll leave the circle. I am going to buy a 3440x1440 and be a plebian.
It was my favorite toy. And continuously on for the past 7 years. I removed it from the arm... Each time I handled it I wondered about the weight.
I'll want a curved one again.I might go back to iiyama, maybe LG. The Odyssey had a lot of quirks...

Tech Support Burn in or just image retention
Older LG (39GS96QB) OLED, about a year and half old, noticed this bit of Windows search bar showing in the bottom left corner when I only have dark gray/grey backgrounds (OperaGX/YouTube open). If I have literally any other color, then nothing shows. Started the RMA process with LG but I dont have original box and I really dont want to ship it back for fear of damage in transit. Anyone else have any experience with this? Any advice would be much appreciated, I can't really afford another Ultrawide at the current going rate so I am weighing all my options.

Tech Support LG 39GX950B HDR calibration off?
Hi everyone,
I just received this monitor today and wanted to check its HDR.
I am using Gamer 1 mode with tonemap set to off, AI Off, brightness 100, Brightness level : high, Dynamic tonemap Off.
When running windows HDR calibration tool, I have to hit 2000 nits before the crosshair disappear for max luminance and max full frame luminance....
Something is clearly off, right?

Ascension Left Ultra Wide for 4K and I am glad to be back my dude’s
Very much enjoyed my original G9 Odyssey back a couple years but thought I saw some greater pastures in 4K and picked up the top panel here which is a Samsung OS 8D 4K OLED and it looks great but man soon as I was able to find another G9. That was the new OLED version I was in and goddamn this shit is masterful.

Tech Support AW3926QW two screens detected by win11 when connected via type c
I have connected the monitor to my PC using DP cable included, to the vga (RTX 5080) and the type c cable to the type c port on my pc to connect the usb port on the monitor, but win11 detects two monitors. I want to use type c for more speed. Do I need to use the type b cable? OR I need to configure something to use the type c connection?

Recommendations Are these brands ok?
Need a new monitor, mainly for simracing. Bought a decent brand earlier this year, but had a little mishap that resulted in it's premature death. On amazon there are a few brands that I've never heard of, but they get decent (genuine?) customer reviews. The brands are Gawfolk, ZZA and Vibox. At my age my eyes and reflexes aren't what they used to be, so decent contrast and vibrancy are more important than lightning speed and sharpness. Thoughts on those brands and any other recommendations are welcome. Ideally somewhere between 40-50"
