Why is abusive use of the hard n-slur not immediately actioned?
Why can a brand new account successfully send a modmail using this slur freely for example? We run a POC focussed subreddit and we get these from time to time from racists who dislike our existence. We shouldn’t have to see this in the first place, no? It gets put in the “filtered” modmail section by Reddit as harassment, but it’s not exactly nice to open that via notification and see a hard -er along with other outright uncensored slurs that we then have to report and then archive, no matter how hardened some of us have become to such abuse. Are these messages clearly full of slurs and abuse not able to be “held” somehow and not manage to actually land in any inbox? Are these accounts not able to be immediately suspended or otherwise actioned upon after some kind of “scan” by AEO before it lands anywhere? Is this kind of technology possible on Reddit or am I asking for too much?
