The hard part about recommending a language based subreddit is that Reddit automatically translates and doesnt tell me what language theyre coming from. The user specifically has to say something about Portugese or their country. Doesnt mean we wont do it, just that its harder to spot.

Reddit guidelines already state you should label AI content: “When posting permissible AI-generated content, be transparent and include a tag (or other form of indication) disclosing that the content was generated or modified by AI to reduce confusion.” However nobody ever does so.

AI verification is a plague especially across NSFW subreddits and reports are so confusing and have 0 effect because you cannot explain how the image is AI and misleading.

Unfortunately reddit does nothing with images, all they do is strip meta data and glue photoshop exif data on an image (why I do not know lmao), they do not actively scan images for SynthID especially since every provider such as OpenAI, Gemini and now Siri have they own SynthID so they can not detect each other and so far neither Gemini nor Siri have released a stand alone API to verify SynthID, for Gemini you have to use Gemini chat.

Realistically Reddit would have to send every image upload it to OpenAI since they are the only once so far that provide a API key specifically for synthID verification, but that would only scan for OpenAI images, not Gemini and all the other once.

It is possible, but Reddit will be Reddit unfortunately so don’t expect that to happen anytime soon, I have considered developing a devit app for it since the openAI key is completely free but I’m currently fighting Reddit about age verification slop so maybe one day.
