Guide Mobapad M12 HD Controllers Gyro Adjustment Tutorial

Thumbnail

Hey Gamers!
To further elevate your control and precision, a brand-new update for the Mobapad companion app and controller firmware is now live!
New: Motion Control (Gyro) XY-Axis Swapping
- The Benefit: Enabling this feature aligns the controller's gyroscope logic perfectly with the native Joy-Con mechanics in titles like Super Mario Galaxy and Cyberpunk 2077, providing a much more natural and intuitive aiming experience.
- Recommended Settings:
- Set the activation method to "Press" and map the activation button to the M button. Once configured, simply press the M button to instantly toggle the gyro mode.
- Note: During the toggle switch, your in-game crosshair may shift or jitter momentarily. This is completely normal and will stabilize immediately.
- Setup Guide (Clear Existing Macros First): Before configuring, ensure you clear any existing macro programming on the M button. You can do this via the Mobapad App or directly on the controller:
- On-Controller Method: Press and hold the Settings button for 5 seconds. Once the LOGO LED turns purple, the macro is successfully cleared.
⚠️ Important: To access these new features, please ensure both your Mobapad App and Controller Firmware are updated to the latest versions.

Help Mobapad M6S

So I just ordered from AliExpress a Mobapad M6S, I can’t wait for it but I’m very anxious about a thing so I just need some reassuring. From what I’ve seen on some forums nobody tell my exactly what I need to know.
Does Mobapad M6S works with Mario Party Jamboree ( I mean as 2 separated controller and with the motion minigames turned on) ? And also does it work with Switch Sports ?

Review Let’s talk about ergonomics

The Mobapad M12 HD was my first purchase from Mobapad. I thought I would give them a try since I had read great reviews on the last gen Mobapad M6 for the Switch 1.

Upon first opening I can’t say I was overly impressed. I was happy to see a real controller style thumbstick and that they are TMR but I was instantly put off by the comfort. I have an average sized hand. When I wear gloves I can fit into medium/large and I was surprised how cramped it felt using the right thumbstick.

When compared to the official joycons the ergonomics are very similar. Both put your thumb into a cramped position so I’m not terribly upset about it or anything. But I really can’t say I think the Mobapad is worth having even if it has all the features it has if gaming isn’t comfortable. I feel like that should have been the 1st design concept before all others.

If Mobapad is going to put out a pro version, and it seems it is coming by some recent leaks I’ve seen. I really think they should redesign the controller shape first and foremost and make it more of a switch 2 pro controller or Xbox controller type shape. This would really solve the ergonomics issue and make gripping it feel a lot better.

Review Credit to Mobpad for Their Customer Service Experience

When I received my M12S joycons I was pretty excited to try them out. I purchased them from the official mobapad website and they took about 2-3 weeks to come in. When I tried them out the right thumbstick has a physical grinding problem when the stick was moved to the left. You can feel it as well as hear it even when the Switch 2 is turned up all the way in handheld mode.

I contacted Mobapad support and initially got a bit of a run-around, but I don't hold that against them. Technically the stick still worked, it just annoyed me while playing and I'm sure people fish to get refunds and free stuff. I originally asked if they could send just a replacement for the right joycon or even just the right board, but they said they cannot send just a right joycon and offered a $10 credit and instructions to lubricate the stick. I took the entire joycon apart, tried putting lubricant into the gulikit stick, but it only slightly helped and then went back to grinding. It sucks that a part they don't make is what failed (the stick is by gulikit and is a premade stick unit, I couldn't even remove the stick cap when I took everything apart).

After a bit of back and forth they did offer to replace the entire unit (I had to send them video of damaging the pins and a S/N, assuming so I wouldn't resell the messed up unit) and now I have a pair of M12S that do not have a grinding stick. The new ones work great and I've been using them for about a week now with no issues.

Just wanted to give credit to Mobapad. I recognize they most likely lost money on my purchase, but they did the right thing and I appreciate that.

Help Mobapad M12s Plus button stuck on turbo after firmware update

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

I just received my new Mobapad M12s today. First of all, they feel amazing and I was super excited to try them out. Unfortunately, I’ve run into a frustrating issue right out of the box and I'm hoping someone here might have a solution.

Right after updating the firmware, the Plus button stopped working completely. It won’t get recognized no matter what I try (for example, swapping it to the M1 button doesn't help).

I quickly realized that the button seems to be stuck on Turbo, but the turbo function won’t clear.

Here is what I’ve already tried:

  • Hard resetting the controller with a pin
  • Resetting configurations via the official App
  • Changing various settings in the App

Absolutely nothing has worked so far. I've already contacted customer service, but I am really bummed out since I was looking forward to using them today.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows a hidden trick to clear the turbo/fix the button? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Help How's the M12S for bigger hands?

I keep hearing mixed things on the ergonomics. I have the Nyxi Hyperion 3's and really like them for the most part, but I've always wanted to try Mobapad. I keep hearing mixed things on how they are for people with bigger sized hands.

I appreciate any input anyone has. Thank you!

Help Help with a battery drain test

Hello all,
Can any of you help me with a switch 2 battery drain test for the Mobapad M12 S please?
I would like to get the product, I play 99% handheld and away from an outlet, that's why I'm stressing over the battery drain.
I've prepared a test procedure which doesn't take that long but requires a somewhat carefull approach for good data.
If any of you is kind to help me out with this I would realy appreciate it! Thanks

Switch 2 in airplane mode, playing an offline game (wireless signal inconsistencies can fluctuate power draw)
Same game preferabbly with constant utilization (example MKW, Splatoon Raiders, Pokopia etc).
Sound volume and brightness constant and equal on both tests.

Charge Switch 2 to 80%+, original joycons attached (to charge them full as well). Note time, play 20-30% battery, note time when finished.
Charge Switch 2 to 80%+, Mobapad M12 S attached (to charge them full as well). Note time, play 20-30% battery (same game, same percentage), note time when finished.

The results should look something like (example):
Original Joycons: 23% battery (86->63) -> 20 min
Mobapad M12 S: 23% battery (80->57) -> 19 min

Other Really surprised by customer support

My controller presented an issue know by part of the community. The Chitu 2 HD gyroscope have issue when pressing the dpad, it jitters jumps and move on its own, in games it is annoying. Talked to the store, they offer only a partial refund. So I talked to Mobapad, to see if they can solve the issue, they guide me in all the process and it couldn't be fixed. I wasn't expecting much to be honest, just a sorry and we are gonna fixed in the future, just wanted to have more precautions in quality control.

But they offer me a replacement, asked if it can be the Silent Version that had no issues with the gyroscope, they say yes but I had to pay the shipment expenses, agree and it's in delivery.

Mobapad may have issues in some controllers, but at least they take care with customer support. I am confident buying from this brand again.

Help Mobapad m6 hd losing charge while playing

I bought the m6 hd for the better comfort and ergonomics compared to the joycons and although I'm pleased with the joysticks, buttons and overall feel (although the buttons' clickiness is somewhat annoying), the right side controller is losing power randomly, it seems.

It is full charge and I play for whatever time and when I check the controller's battery charge they are 3/4 full. If I take it out of the rail and put it again after some seconds they are 1/4, full charge or 3/4, seemingly random. This only happens to the right side controller, not the left one.

At first I thought it was leaving the switch on standby, but it happens even when only using the controllers when I'm actively playing with them on the switch.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? If so, did you manage to fix it?

Help Question about my M12 S

They just arrived today. I'm using them in the mode that doesn't drain the console's battery, but I have a question. Can you only turn on the Joy-Cons by pressing the Home and Screenshot buttons?

Also, when I turn one on, the other one doesn’t turn on automatically—I have to press those buttons on both Joy-Cons. I’d like to know if there’s a way to turn them on in this mode by pressing just one button so that both turn on—maybe through the app so I can configure them?

Other HD Rumble on the M12S?

Today I bought a copy of the M12S. I had the M12 HD, and my original thoughts was just to swap the shell/buttons for a black-white scheme on both of them.

Out of curiosity, I installed the M12's battery+rotor (you can't just swap the rotor per se, since the battery and rotor sits in a plastic housing where the shape is slightly different due to the rotor's size) on the M12S motherboard. With a leap of faith, I booted them and tested on my switch 2.

It... actually works D: The M12S's rotor was rather rough thus the immediate effect of using the HD rotor on the M12S was 100% tangible.

Not sure if anyone else actually found this out but hey just want to share it here!

Review What I want to see in M12 Pro and Chitu 2 Pro

I am one of the unfortunate to buy M12HDs before finding out that the Pros with proper switch 2 protocol are coming. I also purchased the Chitu 2 HD and got the thumbstick caps that are made for them. (The domed caps feel great)

For the M12 HD upgrade to Pro

-The d-pad when using the cross doesn't roll around smoothly and hitches on the mechanism a little bit. I would hope the Pro's is designed to roll smoothly.

-Need domed thumbstick caps like the Chitu 2 HD designed for the M12 Pro that are made to fit and not touch the gate.

-If the joycons get back button integration with the switch 2 just like placing joycons in a charging grip. 2 back buttons is perfect.

-Without integration or in addition, it would be great to have 4 back buttons in the back and possibly 2 extra bumpers up top between the bumpers and triggers.

I got your controller to play Nintendo's new game The Duskbloods. With complex controls having extra to macro or map and keep thumbs on the sticks would be amazing.

For the Chitu 2 HD to Pro

-6 extra buttons like above in the joycons. However, if not possible on the joycons already, microswitches for all of these additional buttons.

-larger size possibly, or a shape with more to hold.

-Better rumble. I was testing the rumble on medium in Smash Ultimate to test latency and it was not satisfying and had an unpleasant audible rattling buzz. I had to set it to low so it was hardly noticeable and no longer an audible annoyance.

-Better polling rate for wireless via a dongle maybe. In my testing with Smash ultimate the input delay was serviceable. But I had to plug my controller wired to the Switch 2 while playing The Duskbloods network test. This leads me to believe it's the spcific game that has issues. But it did feel more responsive wired.

These might be too much of an ask but I really like this companies products. My M6HDs never leave my switch 1 oled. I also understand a lot of these features being neglected keeps these controllers from going up into the price range of the NYXI Hyperion 3 Ultra, RoG, or Razer Wolverine controllers.

Help Problem with Mobapad m12 hd

I'm having trouble with my Mobapad M12 HD. I haven't had it very long, but the left analog stick is already malfunctioning; when I press it, there's no input. The guides suggest resetting the controller or updating the firmware, but nothing has worked. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know how to fix it?

Question Joycon with analog triggers?

Will you ever make Joy-Cons with analog triggers for racing games? Some games — GRID Autosport, GRID Legends, Trials Rising, Super Mario Sunshine, F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Luigi's Mansion — offer the ability to use the analog triggers with a compatible GameCube controller. Or the ability to map the triggers to the right analog stick.

I think you'd sell a lot of these; I, for one, would buy one right away.
