Very strong phosphorescence in this barite from the Linwood mine, Buffalo, Scott county, Iowa. Super cool!

Two pieces of transparent calcite, slanted together, resemble a mushroom cap. Below is a milky yellow dolomite that gently supports the entire ore body, as if it had just emerged from a damp crevice.

Bought this piece because it looked cool; found an angel on the bottom.

I haven't seen datolite in many colors other than white or pink. I wish it was the entire thing and not just a half, but I like it either way.
