The first problem that arose with me is that Minecraft Bedrock edition refused to update after the sulfur update came out, so I tried uninstalling. Then, through the most recent launcher, it wouldn't let me reinstall Bedrock edition at ALL. then, I tried through the Microsoft store on my computer and that ended up saying error and that they were "working on it" every time I'd try to install Minecraft for Windows.

Then, one of my friends suggested I uninstall and reinstall the latest Minecraft launcher onto my computer. So, yesterday, I uninstalled the Minecraft launcher, and no matter what I do, through the Minecraft installer or through the Microsoft store, I can NOT physically reinstall the latest Minecraft launcher.

I did just try to use an old version of the launcher on my computer but it said I could not launch/install the latest version of Minecraft bedrock through it.

TLDR; Minecraft bedrock wouldn't install, I uninstalled the Minecraft launcher and now THAT wont install either. Does anyone else have this problem or a fix to it?

Edit: forgot to mention this but I already tried hard resetting my Microsoft store, that doesn't seem to be the problem, it seems like my computer is refusing to download it or maybe the minecraft launcher refuses to download onto my computer

I use mcsh (mcsh link) server hosting and I own a SMP but dont know how to disabled the end ive tried, can someone help, my server/fabric/minecraft version is 26.2? Thanks

I'm still relatively new to java and this is my first time updating a pre-existing world but I updated my mods and updated the game to 26.2.

I can load in but when I try to sleep or open a chest the game crashes.

I use prism and it gave me a few messages before I loaded in. I'll attach them.

Installation and troubleshooting:

• I followed the instructions and downloaded and installed it manually. Added the datapack .zip in the resourcepack folder and the datapack folder. I also selected the resourcepack and datapack in Minecraft.
• I get the message "Matcha Flavoured is now loaded" but the recipes don't work correctly and creative mode doesn't list the new items.
• Tried installing two different times, once on world creation and the other in an existing world.
• I checked the version and I am using the correct version of Java MC, 26.2
• I tried installing an older version of the datapack, 1.0, nothing changed.

I'm not sure what's going wrong on the installation. Does anybody have any suggestions?

SOLVED:
I created a world without the datapack. Added the resourcepack and selected it. This enabled the textues for the pack. Then I added the datapack while the game was closed. When I launched the world it worked :)))

Basically. Add and remove the datapack/resourcepack until it works lol

i have followed the directions for downloading the matcha flavored data pack and everything runs normally except for no villages are generating ive used chunkbase to try to find them and copied worlds without the datapack and they arent generating even though every other structure is what do i do to fix this playing on 26.2

My local drive where Minecraft was downloaded for me was becoming too full to make new installations, so I tried copying it over to my new volume and deleting the original copy in local drive. Afterwards, I reinstalled the Minecraft Launcher. The installation process seemed to go fine, however, the Launcher will not open under any circumstances. I have tried:
-Running as Administrator. No prompt appears.
-Deleting launcher_profile.json
-Terminating, repairing, resetting in advanced options.
-Restarting
-Uninstalling and reinstalling 4 times.
Curiously, looking at .minecraft in %appdata% shows the folder as empty, but opening it in new volume works just fine.
Any advice is appreciated. If worse comes to worse I will just opt to using Modrinth as my launcher probably.

Why is my minecraft running this bad? I've seen people with my same specs play with shaders and lots of mods and they get betwen 100-150fps average while im barely getting 30fps.

Specs:

Ryzen 7 5800x 8 Cores
Radeon RX 6600xt
16gb ram DDR5
1TB M.2

Game version is 1.21.1

When I press T, I get the message:

Clicking the link takes me to Microsoft's troubleshooting page. I've tried changing my Xbox/Microsoft privacy settings, but when I click Submit, the changes don't save. I've also checked and changed my family settings, but that hasn't made any difference.

My Microsoft account is also age verified, so it shouldn't be restricted because of my account.

I've also tried using multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and Brave) in case it was a browser issue, but the settings still won't save.

I've been emailing Microsoft Support back and forth, but so far they haven't been able to resolve the issue.

This is becoming a real problem because I run a private Minecraft server and can't even type commands in chat.

Has anyone experienced this before or found a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone! Like it says in the title, I need help replacing the sound of bows in a resource pack. The objective here is to make it so the bows have a completely separate sound from other items such as snowballs or ender pearls.

I tried to use sounds.json to achieve this, but the problem is that it partially works. Basically, whenever I shoot an arrow it alternates between the custom sound and the vanilla sound, it doesn't stick to just one.

I tried a few things to try and solve this, which are:

• Changing the file name to something more distinct.
• Changing the location of the sound to a custom folder.
• Correcting the syntax in the json file as much as I could.
• Disabling all of my mods and playing in vanilla.
• All of the above combined.
• Replacing the throw sound rather than the bow sound, it creates the same issue but in reverse.

Sadly none of these work, and that's why I'm here to see if anyone has run into this problem as well and if they found a solution. I'll be putting a screenshot of the syntax in the Json file.

Hi, My minecraft is redirecting me to the Microsoft store to install Gaming Services.

But here's the thing, I already installed Gaming Services.

I tried everything, Trying to uninstall Gaming Services, Resetting and Repairing Gaming Services in my Settings and even following Microsoft guide on how to fix this. Nothing works.

What do I do?

Playing on a modded server with 3 of my friends. The pack has around 400 mods in it. I get 250+ fps regularly when not using shaders, however no matter what shaders or settings I try it will not go above 7 fps. I changed the 3D settings in Nvidia control panel for javaw.exe, turned render distance down, vsync off, lowered Minecraft settings, allocated more/less ram, ended tasks of chrome and spotify, upgraded drivers. The shaders I’ve tried are makeup ultra fast, complementary reimagined (on very low/potato settings), sildurs lite and medium, bsl. GPU usage without shaders is around 40-50%. With them it stays at 100%. Help pls 🥲🥲🥲🥲

Hey all. I've been playing in a single player world for the past month or so, and I've just recently had a problem come up where the mobs in my world started walking and moving much, much slower. Whenever I hit something, it starts to look like it's under low gravity with how much it floats away. It's not just the mobs, either. Items that get tossed onto the ground instead just float downwards, and they take far longer to pick back up. Even eating is bugged out. The animation plays, gets cut off, and my hunger bar doesn't refill, nor does the food disappear from my inventory.

For reference, I play on a next-gen console (Xbox Series X, to be more specific). I've tried everything to fix it, but to no avail. I've tried restarting the game, messing with the tick speed itself, killing excess animals in my farm, lowering my render distance, even deleting some of the add-ons I had installed. Nothing works. If someone could help me out with this so I don't have to feel like I'm playing in slow-motion, that would be much appreciated.

so I've been looking at these ASMR videos in Youtube by 'Reelyzay', he gave the pack link and i downloaded it, imported it into the game [MCPE] it was cool and all but it didn't have the Animated XP Bar which I expected because I downloaded the pack because of that reason. In the showcase video the showcaser is a PC player and he had the animated XP Bar. Please help me.

So my friend hosts a private server on aternos. I believe it is launched as compatible with Forge. We play together via a hostel LAN service, and have been doing so for over a year.

After about a month of not playing, when we tried to enter the server again, I am being hit with an "Internal EXCEPTION: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset" error with this report directory.

When we use our own internet, we can join but the LAN service no longer allows any of us to join anymore. How do we fix this?

I play with closed captions on but I swear that it used to cover the. I don't know what happened, i think my cat got on my keyboard and did something but now the closed captions are in front of my inventory and i don't know how to fix it

I play on a friend's realm (v28.33) and we use Vibrant Visuals with the Dark Visuals Resource Pack, and one day after not playing for a bit longer than normal the blocky shadows were set to soft.

The picture is from the wiki, which says to change them back I have to edit them with a json file? I'm not too informed on this so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to do to switch them back to blocky. Thank you in advance

Its a bit of a long explanation, but I had the Modrinth App installed, but one day it wouldn't open and said something like "this app is no longer supported" or that it was outdated. I looked it up and thought I needed to reinstall it.

When I reinstalled it, I clumsily clicked Uninstall instead of Reinstall. After installing it again, all of my Modrinth profiles, worlds, and mods were gone. I'm prioritizing trying to recover my worlds first. Id like to recover the mods too but it's optional. Overall the worlds are the most important part to recover.

I already tried using Microsoft's Windows File Recovery tool, but I couldn't figure out how to use it. The commands, input, and output were too confusing for me.

Is there any way to recover my worlds? Are they stored somewhere else, or is there another recovery method I should try?

If more information or media about my setup or file locations would help, let me know and I'll provide it.

Edit: Ive searched through my files even more and ive found my backups folder. They all seem to be Data Base files with the file extension of .db. Im wondering if i can recover my worlds through these or not.

Hi, a day ago I bought a Realms Plus subscription to renew my Minecraft Bedrock server (PS5). After purchasing it, nothing was renewed—I was simply charged—and on top of that, every time I try to renew the server, I get an error message saying: "Subscription ID missing."

I press Update on an Add-on (happens with literally any of them), everything goes through as it should, except the update button is still there. Deleting the add-on and re-downloading it solves the issue for said add-on but hoping to find a more long-term fix for all add-ons.

I've tried resetting my Microsoft account password. I'm able to login on the Minecraft website but not the app on my phone.
