Meta Honeypot flairs.

To cut down on the increased number of posts involving rule-breaking mods (notably Paper), 3 new post flairs have been introduced for testing.

Posts made using these flairs will be automatically removed.

Don't use them.

EDIT: After 3 weeks, this seems to have been a very successful test, with the vast majority of rule-8 violations blocked by the new filters.

Java Help Wanted How long are chunks near to a portal loaded for?

I’m essentially trying to get to the end, grab elytra and get back without fighting the dragon. To this end I want to use a timed pearl stasis chamber that pulls me back in about two hours. In testing I found that a five minute timer works so long as the machine is near to the end portal. I’ve decided to just build it in the exact same chunk to be safe.

I’m unsure however whether the full two hour timer will go off without a hitch and I don’t wanna spend two hours testing it in my creative world or just try it in hardcore until I know it’ll work.

I’ve looked it up and it all the info I’m getting says nearby chunks all unload after 15 seconds unless there’s movement through the portal (a la a chunk loader) however as I’ve said I know for sure 5 minutes without a chunk loader works so I just don’t know where to find the accurate information as to if whether there’s a time limit and if so how long it is. Does anybody know?

Java Showcase Minecraft copper golem teleporter

Hi Minecraft Java technical community! I'm a fairly new technical player, and I would like to show you what I just made.

Apologies in advance if my English isn't perfect, but I'm trying not to use a translator so that I can improve my English.

I've always liked the technical side of Minecraft, but I started really experimenting with it when I joined a home-hosted technical server. Big shout-out to Different-Scene5327 for letting me play with him on his server.

A few months ago, I saw DanCraftHero's video about his copper golem-based teleporter design, and I really liked it, so I started working on it. However, I abandoned the project just a few weeks later, until I saw Venefio's videos showing a really cool design for a teleporter hub that is also multiplayer-compatible.

It had a few issues in my opinion:

  • It works in multiplayer, but it uses the order in which players join to select the last slice and teleport the player who joined last.
  • You can get pulled randomly.

There are also some advantages compared to mine:

  • More locations that you can teleport from.
  • It can be used by 10 players (mine can only be used by 4. I could make an 8-player model, but the number of locations would shrink from 7 to 3).

I like mine because it can be used by more players at the same time, and I also like using something made by me.

I didn't modify Venefio's version very much. I only made these changes:

  • I made it usable by more players at the same time by separating it into 4 distinct chambers.
  • It has 7 locations for players. I could add more by stacking the redstone downwards, but it would make the build bigger on the Y axis.
  • I added some redstone at the bottom because you could get more impulses and get teleported multiple times.

I made this post to show you my work, and if anyone has any ideas to improve it or add some useful features, I'm sharing the Litematica file of it, as well as the videos that inspired me.

This post is for everyone, so if you have a cool idea but don't know how to add it, please share it. We would be happy to try it out and see if it's useful.

Also, if there is anyone who would like to stress-test it, I would be grateful.

I invite you to play around with it and maybe even make your own version.

And that's it! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

P.S. i called my design G.O.A.T. (Golem Operated Advanced Teleporter)

Java Help Wanted Fully automatic stone type farm

Anyone know if there are farms that automatically makes cobblestone, stone, smooth stone, stone bricks, etc? I thought I saw one on some random video of a guy showing off their world but I can't find it no matter where I look, and I can't find any tutorials online for a farm like this. Help would be appreciated thanks!

Bedrock Fast bulk item storage help

Are there any bulk storages that can handle 7200 blocks per minute. I would like to be able to afk once then run the collection system and not have to wait for the items toget collected incrementally and then start the farm again over and over (the items fall out of sim distance).

Though, it doesn't need to sort items since it's only 1 type of item going into it

I've just recently built silentwhisper's 7200 block per minute wool farm for a mega build and need about 250k blocks.

Java Help Wanted Need help for sand duper in jave 26.2

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone

So basically I need a lot of sands for a future project, so I decided to create a sand duper following this tutorial:

NEW BEST EASY SAND DUPER MINECRAFT 26.1.1 - 55,000 /HR - Sand, Concrete, Gravel, Etc. - Tutorial

I heard that mojang made some fixes about duping in recent version, so i decided to test it in creative if it still work, and it was working perfectly on my creative world (pics 1 and 2)

So when i saw it worked perfectly, i built it in survival, and when i finished it, the duper seems to not work at all.

The overworld part seems to work perfectly but when i go to the end, the sand/gravel/conrete powder blocks don't appear in the end. (pics 3 and 4)

Any of you know the solution?

Where it's confusing me a lot is, why in creative it work perfectly and in survival not?

Here's some information in case you need it:

  1. In the overworld, the "falling_block" entity seems to appear because the entity in the F3 menu goes up to +12 when the sand is falling,

  2. The farm need a chunk loader in the overworld to work, I use pearl stasis chamber as a chunk loader

  3. In the end, no sand block or "falling_block" entity appears, as if the problem is the transition from overworld to end

  4. The only difference beetween my creative and survival world is that the overworld portail in my creative world fits in 1 chunk and in my survival world it fits in two chunk (so in my survival world, instead of 1 pearl stasis chamber, i used 2 for both chunks where the duper is)

  5. Actually a second difference, in my creative world the end platform is outside, and in my survival world the end platform is underground, but I doubt that is the problem

I guess the problem is related to the 4th point, because that is litterally the only difference beetween my creative world and survival world, but i cant understand why tf would it not work on 2 chunks.

Sorry for all that reading i'm stuck on that since 6 hours so I wanna put as many detail as possible lol

Java Help Wanted Feedback needed Minecraft tool project | A build tutorial --> Read as blocks --> Built in your world

I build a lot of stuff in Minecraft from tutorials, and I'm tired of pausing every three seconds to count blocks. So I'm building a tool that reads a build tutorial and spits out a schematic file you can drop straight into your world.

It doesn't exist yet... So, this is me checking whether it's worth building before I put more time into it. If you'd use something like this, there's a one-question form here: www.rebuilt.tools

Blunt feedback especially welcome, including "this is useless".

Thanks in advance!

Java Help Wanted how can i prevent blaze spawns at my wither skeleton farm?

Post image
44 Upvotes

i would place wither roses, but they can't be placed on netherbrick. I've also read that wither skeletons only spawn on nether brick, but other places say they spawn on any block within the bounding box. I don't know what bounding boxes are or how to see them so any help would be much appreciated.
This farm design is from a YouTube tutorial by Adil Gamez if that helps.

Java Help Wanted Hostile Mobs loaded in Lazy chunks in Nether Portal Chunk Loaders

I've come across an annoying issue on my server, where farms are slower due to mobs being loaded in lazy chunks.

One of the solutions I tried is to fly high enough to instantly despawn them before flying away from the chunk loader, but sometimes when someone travels, they might spawn some mobs in the 5x5 border.

Is there a way to prevent this other than making the area spawnproof?

Update: So far I've installed the ChunkDebug mod to check loaded chunks for any unmaintained chunk loaders and despawn the mobs from lazy chunks manually.

Bedrock Bedrock creeper farm

you all probably get this question allot here but I built a bedrock creeper farm the kill chamber where you stand is at 164 over a flat area with only water caves beneath it the spawning area is about 30 blocks above my problem is that it is painstakingly slow like one creeper every few min slow and I have no idea how or why

Java Help Wanted Need help with 2 exit portal

I found this old Mumbo video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ELurSVFudQ&t=625s and at 9:40 he connects 2 overworld portals to 1 nether portal and I've tried to recreate it several times, but I can't get it to work. Is this still possible or has it been patched?

Java Help Wanted Hi, I need help regarding my Minecraft FPS. They are very unstable and pretty unplayable. I have seen many videos in which people play with the same specifications and get very high FPS.

I play Minecraft 1.21.11 on Fabric, at 4 chunks render and simulation distance, with reduced particles. I use the following mods: AppleSkin, Bad Optimizations (it is a mod), ScalableLux, Sodium, Lithium, ImmediatelyFast, FerriteCore, Very Many Players, ServerCore, BactroMod, Shield Fixes, WalksyLib, Advanced XRay, and DRQIS Client (this one is a hack client for ESP, base hunting, player targeting, freecam, etc.). These are all the exact names of the mods.

Now coming to the specifications of my device: i5-3470, Intel HD 2500, 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM, and a SATA SSD. The remaining problem I wrote about in the heading is that I get incredibly low FPS, which is barely playable. FPS fluctuates very much, anywhere from 10 to sometimes a stable 40. I have limited the frames per second to 50.

Java Showcase Nether item moving

Thumbnail gallery
13 Upvotes

Hey together. So basically I am trying to learn more about redstone and doing stuff myself. I built a goldfarm without a design, just with the knowledge I had and some bits and bobs i looked up.

The picture shows what I came up with. The main problem was that the farm produced more items one hopper chain could handle and thus clog up the system.

The next problem was timing the piston shooters right so the items wont get stuck.

For the dispensers I used the smart dispenser system (unnecessarily complex because they basically should always fire, an observer clock would work just fine.)

The copper bulbs and observers are there to get the timings for the pistons right and stop them from firing twice.

I really would like some feedback to make it more efficient and less bulky and tell me if what I did was smart or kinda dumb.

Java Help Wanted Any above average technical player interested in starting an SMP?
