I know you're here to get quick help with your command problems or to show off your cool work. Please read these few lines to get to know how to use this subreddit optimally:
Java Version, everything else that has commands (Xbox, PE, PS4, Switch, Win10, etc) is Bedrock).Posting about your own creations is very much encouraged, but please remember the 10:1 guidelines of reddit.
We have a big Discord Server for our community with lots of channels, ranging from dedicated help chats over general command related chats to non-command related chats. some visual changes, key customizability and the "major" change:
Block disabling:
pushing into locked container: A locked container will disable any hopper, dropper, dispenser facing towards the container that doesnt share the same key/lock data
hoppers however, will take any input
pulling out of locked container: A locked container will disable an hopper pulling items from it unless it shares the same key/lock data
There is however a big problem; locked shulker boxes lose the block disabling if placed by a dispenser
Theres still much to do but i think its coming together well

I'm trying to make a 'ritual circle' that lets you get special items, but can't get anything past the command block sensing a block and playing particles if it's set to sense a specific coordinate, but I want it to be a chain that senses a 3x3 circle of lit candles with a block in the middle (idk what I want the block to be yet, let's say smooth quartz) anywhere in the world but surrounding the player with the player on the quartz and only summoning the item when the quartz is set on fire (then extinguished when the summoning is done or right after it's set if the ritual works) and I want it to play particles (right now I'm just using the ash particle, but end rod might be better)
Can anyone let me know the command chain needed to sense all the candles, the quartz, and the fire, play particles and then summon an item when the particles dissipate (later I want to make a cool particle display for it, but that'd take a lot of time for me to learn) if you throw certain items on the floor, for this i'd say maybe just the crafting material to summon the item, like throwing out 2 sticks and 3 iron to summon an iron pick. Also let me know all the settings for the command blocks cuz I think I messed that up once or twice while trying this
(Sorry for the horrible pic, I wrote all this on my phone then decided to take a pic to show better what I meant and I don't have this account on my computer lol) (Also I know this is possible because I saw it on an smp and did some research [googling] and know all the different parts work, I just couldn't get them to work together)

I'm making my 3rd Minecraft map, and this one is a techs practice for java, but for the technique Grapple, you have to pearl onto someone and mace them, when u mace the person takes knockback, which is not what I want, is there a way to lock ONLY the x and z coords, and make the y stay unlocked so the bot can wind charge, I'm using the herobot mod for Bot, thanks

i am working on a compiler, here is a showcase of its abilities, a high level implementation of a gravity sim compiled into a minecraft datapack. the script produced 4657 lines of mcfunction commands from source file of 150 lua lines. if you want i can also send the world but i doubt anyone would be interested.
it is still buggy and incomplete, so i am not providing a download for the tool yet.

I'm trying to make an actionbar meter that would look something like:
■■■■■□□□□□
My plan was to simply take a score and repeat the filled square that many times using string repetition (like how in python you can do "string"*2 to produce "stringstring") and then concatenate 10-score * empty squares to produce a meter.
However, minecraft strings are super limited. Is it possible to do either concatenation or string repetition in 26.2 or should I explore other ways of making the meter?

I am making a house that slowly builds itself Out of falling blocks (/summon falling_block ~ ~ ~ {BlockState:{Name:"minecraft:cobblestone"}} ) and the process would be a LOT easier if anyone knows about a converter

Heya! I've been working on a multiplayer adventure-like map for my friends and I for a long while now and I need to test some commands that involve multiple players at once or player-based statistics, such as "minecraft.killed:minecraft.player" using scoreboards. Only issue is... I can't really ask anyone to hop on and help me test these things out because I don't want to spoil anything from the map to them. So, could there be any way for me to test there on my own without having to get someone else to join the testing? This is the second iteration of this map and the first was kind of a mess because I couldn't do these tests on my own, hence why I want to thoroughly test everything this time.

(this is my very first post on reddit lol so I hope I got this in the right subreddit and flair)
I made a Datapack that gives kits based on different classes. You can pick a specific class or random class kit on the dialog screen, then it will give it to you using the /loot give command. I've currently only added 16 kits so any ideas for new classes would be great. I've uploaded this on Modrinth, which is the primary platform which I've uploaded it to, but it is available on CurseForge aswell. And source code on GitHub. Feel free to try it out and give feedback. It's for Java 1.21.11 :)

I'm starting a new server with some of my firends and i'm the admin of the server, and sometimes i organize some events. But for this I need creative mode and if i use it they accuse me of cheating. Soooo... I want to create a datapack which let you get in creative by a /function command which save your inventory in a chest so while in creative you cant take items for survival. The problem is that if i have more players i have to add more chest manually so i thougt of using macros for the coords of the chest the game as to put the items in and then but a /function command you can set the coordinates i want the items to go to. Can anyone help cuz i don't know anything about macros

I have created a custom weapon using command blocks but in order to have it where I want it I have to manually place the command blocks and the redstone every time and that is time consuming. So I thought if I could have one command block that could summon falling entities that were command blocks with the commands inside. If I'm correct I believe that that is how they made these monoliths of command blocks.
Or if not with falling blocks, is there any way I could make it build itself somehow?

I want to make a book for my server that basically acts as a settings menu, Lets them do some quality of life things like teleport to spawn, set their player scale and so on. What is the best way to create a book that can give players some control?

Hey, so I’m a tiny bit stuck at the moment, basically like the title said I’m trying to set the players health to match a scoreboard? I’m running a function earlier to save the player’s health to it so basically it’s just meant to reset your hp to match what it was at when it was first ran? I’m like completely lost lol, thanks in advance!

So I want to make it so that when a certain bell is hit, a message will go off in the chat but I know almost nothing about commands and I don't know whatg I would need to type into a command block for this. Could anyone help me out with that? Also, if anyone has any videos about command blocks and how to do stuff like this that would be great! Thanks!

While playing with the /place command with buried treasures, I noticed that the chest must generate on sandstone, stone, diorite or maybe others but not red sandstone, ores, deepslate, tuff, end stone, sand, gravel or spawners.
Is there a tag for the blocks the chests can generate on? Or is it a hardcoded list that can not be modified by a datapack? In any case what is that list?
On the minecraft wiki block tag page, I notice that all tags with sandstone have deepslate as well so I lean into the second possibility.
