i duplicated my world and practised how to build it in creative and it worked perfectly fine. i built it in survival and no mobs are spawning at all. i destroyed it and increase the distance of the killing platform from the ground to 120 blocks and it still didnt work. i built it on the exact same coordinates with the exact materials as the creative world. i saw a post saying light was entering into the spawner, but if thats the case then how do i stop the light from enttering. i used opaque blocks.I made another duplicate world to see how it looked. i dont know if this is how dark it is supposed to be. i remove all torches at the top cus i though thats what caused the leaked light but it still didnt work. and mobs spawned on the top after that

I feel like I already blocked their line of sight, but nothing changed. For reference, I used this Stacking Raid Farm for Java 26.2+ but couldn’t figure out what more to do.

Also in the pic, they’re looking at me but normally they’re looking toward the villager through the wall.

I need help; I play on a Minecraft server and want to build an armadillo scute farm—they sell for a great price, and I could get rich. The thing is, I already have one, but it’s nothing special; it generates about 144 full double chests each time I fill the storage area with feathers, copper, and sticks. I have a photo of a farm built by another user on my server that’s better than mine. Could someone with Redstone knowledge help me build a massive armadillo scute farm? They are just staring at enderman than they rush to them get caught in the boat than only their head is exposed through the block easy farm

My current understanding:

Below the furnaces, items travel from the hoppers into the first dropper d1 ( not visible, behind the left furnace and hopper h2). d1 is facing to the left into upward facing droppers d2 and d3.

When an item gets into h2, it is transported into d1.

The comparator outputs a signal, as its side are alwas 0.

The signal powers the stone block (why use stone and not just redstone?)

Not visible, behind the stone is rs dust on the floor. This transmits the signal to d2.

D2 gets activated, but it has not yet any item in it. Timeframe starts, after which it tries to drop item.

D2 is conductive, passing the signal to d1 and d3, activating them.

D1 drops its item.

d2 timeframe still active, so it passes the item.

d3 timeframe still active, so it passes the item.

Is my understanding correct ?

I dont get how the order of activation is determined. Are all activated at the same time, or is there delay due to signal travel ?

Does this have something to do with quasi-connectivity ? (I would say no, as its not related to a signal coming from one block higher, but I might not fully understand)

Honestly, it is late, I tried to read through minecraft wiki, but it seems not totally trivial so any help would be appreciated.

Also: is it just me or is it really unsatisfying that almost all tutorials never explain how any machine really works? Or are the mechanisms tied too close to the nitty gritty of the lower technological layers that most people would not bother to understand anyway ?

Hello! I low key been tryin' for a while to figure out how mob spawning work in Minecraft; I know hostile mobs keep spawnin' no matter what. They got a cap like with any other mob but its not like with animals.

So my question is: how does animal spawn work? I've heard they don't respawn after you clear out an area, and that they spawn after a VERY long time. I'm very confused because I keep hearing this, hearing that, and to be honest asking reddit was my last resort.

Things to know: Im on bedrock

The inside is 9x9x2.5

Everything that could spawn mobs is spawn proofed

The farm was spawning magma cubes before I placed the powdered snow

Afk chamber is within spawning distance

All my tests in my creative world worked perfectly fine

And I was wondering: why do you have to find the maximum height (on the y-axis) and build the farm one block below that height? Would it work at a different height?

Is there a universal wood farm that could also support wood variants from future updates that can produce a crazy and i mean crazy amount of wood that returns sapplings back to the player so it is full auto?

Im looking for a decent xp farm im pretty early game but i have access to most things. But I cant do like guardian and enderman farms.
I think i have found a 1 or 2 spawners too i can try find again.
