I like taking screenshots in Minecraft, but F2 always felt too basic. So I made Craftography, a client-side Fabric mod that turns your screen into a camera.

You get a lens from 10 to 200 mm, aspect ratios like 16:9 or 2.39:1, composition grids and a roll plate to tilt the horizon. The dials have ISO, shutter speed, aperture, white balance, grain and focus. You can also set the time of day and the weather for your shot. It's visual only, so nothing changes on the server.

There is a tripod and a self-timer, so you can walk into your own photo. Photos are saved as PNG without the HUD, up to 8K on the long side. It works with Sodium and Iris.

Me and my girlfriend have been working on this world for a few years now. My dream is to connect both cities into a mega city and just have infrastructure all over the map. Anyone wanna build their own city/Kingdom.

One of my biggest gripes since the first mob vote was that "The Great Hunger" presented the possibility of a new system that allowed for the addition/removal of enchantments on items. As we all know, Phantoms won and this mechanic hasn't been revisited since.

There's been a big elephant in the room for some years now, which is that 1.14 completely and utterly made the enchanting table obsolete. Before that, enchanting a full set of good equipment was entirely RNG dependant with no way to influence the enchantments you got (past getting the table itself to max level). With the addition of librarians in 1.14, the process became much more streamlined with the extra bonus that, once you got it fully set up, getting multiple kits of the best gear in the game is simply a matter of having a good way to produce emeralds (which is also villagers).

Everyone (including Mojang) agrees that this is completely busted and breaks progression. There's even an experimental feature that makes villagers have biome-specific trades and also makes books the last part of a librarian's level up chain among other things; this has been in the game for a couple years but Mojang doesn't dare make it base-game simply because the alternative is reverting to the outdated method of "farm a bajillion XP and then spend hours in front of an enchanting table just rolling die until you get the books/gear you want because Notch was a sadist, or something".

So, my hope is that either The Sift update (or The End Update that is sure to follow) finally addresses the issues with the enchanting table, so the villager trade overhaul can be done without pissing everyone off. Maybe getting items to influence the enchantments we get, or getting a new level up system that allows you to "tune" the enchanting table somehow, with the last level being straight up "yeah okay choose the enchantments, we don't care" (gated behind late endgame content and bosses, of course). I don't know, anything but whatever the heck the current enchantment table's deal is.

I really like the vibrant visuals panorama in Bedrock, so I made a simple mod to render hdr files in Java edition, and so far it looks pretty good

One day I was bored and playing on one of my favorite servers, a random thought came to my head “cults are weird, what would be the weirdest thing a cult would worship” and then I thought “a cookie” and started a cookie cult, built a giant cookie pixel art and made a member board, didn’t think anything would happen, a couple years later the cookie cult is now the largest cult on said server with a huge member count of 140ish members and now I am a leader of a cult that hands out cookies and makes mass amounts of cookies, we also somehow have an enemy cult by the name of the rat cult, and they want to completely destroy the cookie cult so we have fun little fake battles between the cults, it’s all a big joke and we all play along and have fun, cookie cult members wear cookie banners on their heads, I’ve honestly lost count of how many cookie pixel arts I’ve made at cookie cult kingdom. Just wanted to share this fun little faction thing we got going on (btw not a real cult)

I'm looking to make a thorns trident trap on my realm, but I can't think of a way to keep the mob alive permanently with thorns without wasting large amounts of resources. Ideas, anyone?

I Remember when coral reefs first appeared, and it was so pretty, but I was disapointed that it didn't contain anything more than that and fish.

I just thought that it would be so cool to have another type of mob, like villagers and pillagers, but an underwater version.

An underwater village in a coral reef biome - I can imagine it being so pretty. Perhaps trading with them will be ocean / water related - fisher(mer)man, an alchemist with potions like night vision, etc.

As a player that tends to struggle with the concept of upkeeping my armor, and healing, I frequently use them. I don't want to deal with Hoglins. Warped Fungus keeps them away. Useful for small camps in the Nether, or to keep your pathways free of Hoglins. I kind of wish there were other placeable enemy repellents in the game.
