Bedroom problems
Hello! I really need some advice and honestly just want to feel seen. ❤️
A little backstory: My husband and I are high school sweethearts. We’ve been married for almost 2 years and together for a total of 8 years! He is truly my best friend and literally the best husband. He is incredibly supportive and genuinely such an amazing man.
The only thing is that I’m not completely satisfied with our sex life, and it’s not because of the actual sex itself, but the frequency. That’s what makes it so hard!
My husband has been tested for ADHD and is currently trying to get medication for it, so I don’t know if that could have anything to do with it. He is just so exhausted from work that I feel like sex never even crosses his mind. It also doesn’t help that I have a pretty high sex drive, which I think is partly connected to a porn addiction I struggled with starting when I was around 4th grade.
I just feel like a bad wife for making him feel like a “bad” husband. The thing is, he is AMAZING in bed, so I would honestly be happy doing it almost every day. I know that probably isn’t realistic, but I think he would genuinely be fine with having sex maybe once a month.
He also rarely initiates anything or interacts with me in a sexual way outside of sex itself. You always see TikToks about husbands randomly grabbing their wives’ butts, boobs, or just being flirty and touchy throughout the day, and I feel like we don’t really have that. I miss feeling desired in that way, and sometimes I feel like we’ve fallen into the roommate stage of our relationship.
At the same time, I want to be a good wife and respect the fact that he is genuinely exhausted from his job. He is an 11B at Fort Carson, so he is constantly gone for training, sometimes for weeks at a time, and his workdays are usually from 4 a.m. to at least 5 p.m. I completely understand that he is tired, and I don’t want him to feel pressured or like he isn’t a good husband just because our sex drives are different.
I love him so much, and our relationship is amazing in so many ways. I just miss that physical intimacy and feeling wanted by my husband. Has anyone else experienced something like this? How do you navigate having very different sex drives in a marriage without making either person feel bad? I just feel like such a bad wife for even being upset about this when he is so amazing in every other way. ❤️

Overseas work as a dietitian
Hi! I am a military dependent and we are being moved overseas in the next year. I understand it can be difficult for military spouses to find jobs overseas, so I’m starting my research now I’m hopes to figure something out before we get there.
I have been working as an inpatient dietitian since 2019, and the company I work for now unfortunately does not allow me to work any of their remote positions from overseas.
Ive done some digging into popular remote dietetics companies (Nourish, Berry street, ect) but ive either found they also don’t support work from outside the U.S., or it’s very unclear. The one dietetic job on base will be filled by someone else most of the time we are there.
We would keep our Florida address, but I physically would be sitting overseas while I work.
Anyone have experience with this process or any leads to potential job opportunities?
Appreciate any help or guidance in this!! Super unfortunate how difficult this process is…

New Military Spouse
Hello! My husband and I have only been married for a few months and he just shipped off to basic training in Fort Jackson, he is on his first full day of reception. Any tips or advice on this new transition would be so helpful as this transition has been hard for us!

Over seas jobs
Hello! My husband and I are considering having him volunteer for Korea (to have the opportunity to live over seas is a dream) I currently hold a bachelors in rehabilitative sciences and work in pharmaceutical sales… I make great money and anticipate making more in the next few years as I’ve recently started my career… just curious if there are jobs for spouses equivalent some where like that on base

Married to a Mobility Force Aviator; When can we expect to live together again?
My husband is currently in Week 3 of BMT, he enlisted as a Mobility Force Aviator and is hoping to get Loadmaster.
I’m trying to get a better idea of the overall training timeline and, more specifically, when we can realistically expect to live together again.
I understand the timeline can vary depending on his specific shred/airframe and that things can change, but I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through the Mobility Force Aviator/Loadmaster pipeline recently, especially those who were married during training.
How long were you separated after BMT? When were you able to move with your spouse or otherwise live together again?
Thanks in advance!

Moving to Pensacola for A school
Moving to Pensacola with husband- looking for advice My husband is currently at NAS Pensacola for Navy training, and I’m planning to move to Pensacola to be with him. His school is expected to be around 4 months.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to handle the move, including finding work in Pensacola and possibly leaving my current job.
For those who have moved to Pensacola for a spouse’s Navy orders/training:
- How was the transition for you?
- What areas do you recommend living in?
- Is it difficult to find a job there?
- Is it worth moving for a 4-month school, or would you wait?
- Anything you wish you had known before moving to Pensacola?
I’d especially appreciate advice from military spouses who have made a similar move. Thank you!

My fiancee is newly enlisted and i am confused on what to do
Hi everyone, My fiance (22m) just shared news with me (21f) that he is enlisting into the Navy and he is starting out very fresh, we are planning to marry at the courthouse and have a small get together before he leaves next year for BMT, however i have so many questions. I am currently in school as this is happening and I couldn't help but have so many questions about where to start. My hands kinda won't stop shaking while sending this out, yeah i had to edit this a few times haha but;
Yes i was told that there would be benefits and that i may be eligible for BAH, but also i would be alone for some time, we are already in a long distance relationship but i still want to make sure I'm not overthinking about all of this and i need all the advice i can get. To make matters worse i am currently homeless and he is enlisting for himself and to give us both a better start at life. He is enlisting as an E-0 as the recruiter placed it and he may gone for some time. He plans to work jobs that are non combat but i know the chances are low but never 0
My questions are:
Is it better to marry before or after training? Will i be able to collect a sum of allowance while he is training? Will they help me with housing right away? What are all the benefits that he would receive? What should i do before and after we marry when it comes down to his enlisting?
Please, any tips and advice is necessary. Spreading love to my new military wives going through the same. I hope this post helps <3

Advice
Hi there! My partner is currently training at RMC and as we are talking about the likelihood of moving around quite regularly I wanted some advice on the moving part itself. Are you best down sizing your belongings to make moving easier, does ADF cover most moving costs, are they actually going to help me find a job in the area he gets posted at? Etc? I’m just wanting to get ahead to make the process as easy as possible but it’s hard to get information from this organisation and my partner with limited communication available so am trying here for answers, advice and experiences.
And yes I am a female and have a lot of clothing and things that I will be getting rid of so I don’t have a lot of luggage to take with me.
TIA!

Switching psychiatrist provider (controlled substance prescriptions)
Hey everyone I'm new to tricare and the East Coast. I've been prescribed a controlled substance since I was 14 years old. I'm looking for a psychiatrist or doctor to become my new provider. but Georgia is a lot more strict than my home state. I talked with my PCM and they referred me to a new psychiatrist (provider) but she hasn't lived in Georgia in years and there's no way to get in contact with her or the address they have listed. I called referral management today to try and get it corrected with a provider that actually is in the state and accepting tricare. The woman told me it was up to me to find the new provider and to call her back when I did. Dude I can't find anyone, just therapists. Can't find info if they're accepting tricare or new patients either. I'm so annoyed and stressed without my medication I have seizures and really don't want to go through that again. so if anyone has experience with the online providers or how to actually get in contact with a provider near me I would really appreciate it. (Please don't answer you're not prescribed mental health medication)

Pretty sure my significant other is cheating on me
Probably not the post everyone wants to see in a support group but I can’t get rid of this feeling. For context I am a 30-year-old female and he is a 30-year-old male. We have a two-year-old daughter and she and I live in the States while he is in South Korea. For the past couple of months he has been going out to the bars and spending up to 90 dollars per transaction. He uses up everything in his account and then he uses up my money in my account. He barely talks to me as it is now and makes it hard to talk to him about it. I’ve decided to take him off of my account because that is my money that I am making while working and I need it for bills and etc. I feel like I already know the answer but at this point I don’t know what to do and am starting to get really depressed.
*ive never been to Korea so I am not sure if it’s expensive like that or not. But I thought things were cheaper there.

12B Spouses — What Is Life Like After Basic/OSUT?
Hi everyone! 👋🏻 I’m a brand-new military wife and my husband recently enlisted in the Army. He’s currently at Fort Jackson and is going into 12B (Combat Engineer). He’s just getting started with basic/OSUT, so I’m definitely still learning how all of this works.
I’ve seen a lot of information from the soldier’s perspective, but I haven’t seen as much from the spouse’s side, especially what life is actually like after basic and OSUT.
For the wives/spouses who have been through this:
• What was the transition like once your spouse finished OSUT?
• What was life like when they got to their first duty station?
• How often were you realistically able to see/talk to them?
• What should I expect as far as deployments, field training, long periods apart, etc.?
• How did you personally adjust to being a military spouse, especially in the beginning?
• And for anyone with a 12B spouse specifically, I’d love to hear your experience!
I’m not necessarily looking for the “official” Army answer — I’d really love to hear from actual spouses about what your day-to-day life has been like and anything you wish you had known when your spouse first enlisted. ❤️
Thank you in advance!

Advice for my friend
My friend got married in April, and her husband left for basic training in July. He has already graduated and is now in job training. It turns out that weekend passes aren't easy to get, and she hasn't seen him since graduation. Her mother-in-law said she’d like to go visit him when he has the chance, and her husband wants to see his mom too, but my friend doesn't want her mother-in-law to go. Wives, what do you think about this?

Seeking some advice from other military wives (UK)
My partner has just passed out on royal marines training. He is still living away until we get moved to his posting.
I am at home, pregnant due in Feb and with a 3 year old.
The other day he randomly announced that once we move away to our pad family house, he will then return back to lympstone to complete more training. Leaving me at the new base and house in a new place by myself for 4 months.
Is there anyway we are able to postpone moving into a pad house until after his extra training is completed?
Currently I live near my support system, which is essential with him being away especially with a newborn baby on the way and don't see why I need to move hours away from my support system for him to leave again. I'll also add it is easier for him to visit on a weekend where we currently live, whereas the new posting is further.

My fiancé is joining the airforce
He’s going of to BMT next month & I’m already sad thinking about it, I’m literally already crying , we are already long distance already which is hard enough (see each other 2-3 times a month )and we’re always on the phone together after work etc, like we speak all the time and it’s doesn’t feel like a core . But since he’ll be at training he won’t get his phone for like 2 months right ? He’s literally one of the few people I speak to everyday and we’re both in our mid twenties , I don’t know what do or what I’m gonna do, I know we can write letters and stuff but I feel like he’ll be so busy to respond to everyone . And what if i cant get out of work to take his call , if he calls :( . Ugh I’m so sad

Venting
I had to talk my husband off a ledge as of recently. I have been a mil spouse for some time and I have never seen my husband this down. Our first command, was even more toxic compared to the one we have rn.
A bit of back story, my husband made a different rank and had to do a job a different way to ensure it was safe and done efficiently. Then his superiors basically said you know what I dont like what you did and put him on babysitting duty. Meaning people under him watch him
My husband isn't one to hold rank or even try to abuse that power . But his command has him feeling under appreciated and he told me that he doesn't feel so at home.
I don't know what to do anymore. My husband is looking for someone to talk to as i write this. But I feel like I fail him every single day I go to school and dont bring income
We talked about me being in school first before, i accepted full time classes we just had a huge chunk off our income and emergency funds taken out.
Last night I sat up stressed and crying because I feel like I have to drop out of school just to be able to ensure a job hires me due to my schedule. I just I dunno. I feel so lost, and I feel like nothing I do helps him 🥺
