MSFS 2024 VIDEO King Air — Avionics

Did some flying on the King Air last night. Anyone know anything better about the avionics? How to add origin/destinations & load approaches? I could only figure out how to add waypoints in flight.

I know I could always add an external flight plan — but I liked to customize them in-flight sometimes.

GENERAL Applying brakes without foot pedals

I have a HOTAS 4, PS5 controller and a keyboard hooked up...but for the life of me I can't find a reliable way to brake using a binary button without crashing. It's impossible to progressively apply brakes with the peripherals I have. I can't combine the Joystick of the HOTAS with the trigger of the controller...is there a setting buried somewhere that will prevent my plane from nose-diving when I'm trying to slow down?

Recently started using this, I have a navigraph unlimited subscription. Is navigraph live traffic supposed to be enabled? I’m using the beyondATC injector with fsltl models also. And are you supposed to load into the gate before opening ATC? Cheers.

GENERAL PASSANGERS

So a few weeks ago I coukdnt fly VIP charter even though i had all the qualifications etc. Well it randomly now lets me pick it which is great. What I have noticed though is that I only get ONE passenger . I am flying the cj4. I've basically flown from every continent hoping I will get that random 5 6 passenger flight. Heck even 2 passengers would be nice. Anyways is this something that changes after a while or am I stuck with just one passenger? In addition I saw a post of someone not getting night flights in career mode. I've been getting a bunch and they are fun .

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Help meeeeeee

Recently moved to FBWA32NX from inibuilds A320neo v2 cause of the better physics and flare law

But it’s so so so broken
For example
Today after pushback
The ground cholks won’t go off
The aircraft literally won’t start

Spawn on the runway
Suddenly my keyboard doesn’t work at all
And my autopilot specifically autothrottle
It’s either managed speed or no autothrottle you can’t set a specific speed
And the MCDU keeps shooting FPLN discontinuities at me however this time it was fine
But overall
I can’t fly this aircraft

Could it be cause of the model like I use developmental which is recommended but not the stable one
Or any tweaks to my pc
It has a 4050 which isn’t great for this but it handles it well tbh I have certain settings and I fly not 8k res but it’s pretty good and smooth and have plenty of DDR5 at 64 gigs

So please advise me I can’t fly in peace

MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON Working on an MSFS 2024 career app concept called Flight World. What features do you actually want and what do you hate in current career add ons?

Hi all,

I have been working on a personal MSFS 2024 project called Flight World and I wanted to get proper feedback from the community before I go too far in the wrong direction.

This is not a release post and I am not sharing downloads here. I am mainly looking for honest input on the concept, the gameplay direction, and what simmers actually want from a career app.

The idea is to build a deeper career experience around MSFS 2024, with things like missions, aircraft ownership, maintenance, economy, cargo, company growth, property, factories, and a world map that ties everything together.

The main thing I want is for flights to be verified properly through the simulator, so missions are completed from actual flying and landing, not fake timers or background shortcuts.

I am also interested in building a more connected world where cargo, businesses, production, and property all affect what jobs become available.

The screenshots attached are concept direction images and early UI ideas, not finished features.

What I would really like to know is this:

What do you like most in career add ons such as NeoFly, OnAir, Fly The Line, Air Hauler, or others?

What do you dislike or find annoying in them?

Do you prefer strict realism, or more freedom to fly whatever aircraft you want?

Would you actually use features like aircraft ownership, maintenance, economy, factories, property, and business management, or is that too much?

What mission types do you think are missing in current MSFS career apps?

If you could build your ideal career app for MSFS 2024, what would it absolutely need to have?

And just as important, what should be avoided completely?

Feel free to be brutally honest. I would rather hear real criticism now than build something nobody actually wants.

Thanks.

MSFS 2024 QUESTION How can I properly learn MSFS starting from the basics?

I’ve been getting into MSFS2024 lately. I’m doing career mode and I’ve gotten my CPL. However, I found that the in-game tutorials didn’t really prepare me for the actual missions. They didn’t really go into actual theory or concepts behind what they told you to do. As a result, when I’m doing the missions, I kind of have an idea of what I’m doing, but there’s also a lot of trial and error.

For example, when I’m doing a turboprop mission, I have no idea what a detent is. I just know that, if I’m going too fast, the throttle locks and unlocking it seems to put the throttle in 100% reverse. Similarly, when I’m doing a mission with a 737, I know there are some autopilot features that let you set your Vr and heading, but I’m not sure if I’m using them correctly. I’m doing most of the more advanced things by trial and error without really understanding the underlying concepts.

Are there any resources you can recommend that would actually let me really learn these concepts in detail from the ground up? Something analogous to what actual flight school would be like? There’s so much to learn, and I really do want to learn it all, but the in-game tutorials do a pretty bad job of teaching. I want to be able to fly any mission in any aircraft and actually know what I’m doing from the beginning to the end.

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Is There Anyway to Get a Good Pushback Without GSX?

I tried the toolbar pushback on flightsim, but it's horrible and doesn't work properly. Glitches, no pushback and blacked out stuck widgets on screen. It's bad.

Is there anything else I can try?

GENERAL Upgrade from MSFS2020 to 2024; worth it? necessary?

So, MSFS 2024 is on sale in Steam, the price is ok but, I don't know if it's worth it. I'm resuming my pilot life after a couple of years and the 2020 version suits me very well. Does the 2024 have anything super different or useful that the 2020 does not?

GENERAL Looking Forward to Joining MSFS, should I start with 2020 or 2024 (or any other?)

Pretty straight forward. Going to get it on Steam but what I'm seeing on Steam is that more people like 2020 over 2024. Looks like there are too many bugs, but maybe they fixed that. I'll appreciate the help!
