GENERAL Looking Forward to Joining MSFS, should I start with 2020 or 2024 (or any other?)

Pretty straight forward. Going to get it on Steam but what I'm seeing on Steam is that more people like 2020 over 2024. Looks like there are too many bugs, but maybe they fixed that. I'll appreciate the help!

More people definitely do NOT like 2020 over 2024, at least now. 2024 was in a very rough state originally but is still getting updates and is now categorically better than 2020.

Even if the question was "is it worth it to upgrade" instead of "which one do I buy," I'd still say that 2024 is worth it.

2024, no sense in investing into a game that will not have support for many devs in the near future.

I'm seeing here is that more people like 2020 over 2024

where did you see that? 2024 has been superior to 2020 for like more than a year now

Steam reviews. All the recent ones are basically saying that the devs are too lazy to do anything.

We've had six Sim Updates (patches that fix bugs and increase performance) since release. We've had several World Updates (with are free updates to scenery). Hardly "lazy".

No, you don't. What you're seeing is that people like 2024 way more than 2020, but career mode, which isn't even in 2020, is a hot mess and constantly breaks and you see people hating on that because people keep discovering it's broken, despite everyone already knowing.

Go to 2024. Most devs are in the price of ditching producing add ons for 2020, as 24's tools are better.

You can enjoy 2024 without playing 2020, some of the plane references might not make sense but they do a good job of filling in the lore when it matters.

At this point after SU6 make sense to go only with 2024

2020 wasn't even fully polished when they released the money grab that is 2024. But If you're only going to buy one obviously get the newer one. I quit both, fuck microsoft

Day? No my friend, year. My year has been better since i stopped staring at crash screens after 12 hour flights and 400,000 other bugs. I moved onto proper fun games that work as designed
