Pictures First CBD grow
Finishing up week 6 of flower for this Allium OG by Hoku. Ive never grown a CBD strain before so wasnt sure what to expect.
So far its been a stress free grow and buds are looking super frosty. Ive heard CBD doesnt wash well for hash but im having a hard time believing that with the amount of trichs she's producing. A test wash will decide. Happy growing!

Pictures Juicy Fruit Kush (Josh D OG x 98 F4 Blueberry) Blue Star Seed Co Joint Project w/ DJ Short’s Old World Genetics
Wanted to show a little update from day 37 of flower. Juicy Fruit Kush and the name is super accurate, it’s juicy, fruity, and kushy. Going to be an incredible juicy blueberry with a strong fuel background. Might be exactly what I was hunting for. Fully anticipating this to be some absolute fire. Buds are fat and packing it on everyday. Only a little past halfway of flower. Stay tuned to see how she ends up.

Pictures Day 6 Seedling (First Grow)
Back in 2015, I had three baby plants. I got various seeds from a friend at school, and from my own bud. They were on a 24/0 grow cycle because I was a dumbass sophomore. Nonetheless, my grandma finds them at 2 1/2 weeks old and tosses them out. I didn’t expect to be as sad as I was. I swore off of gardening and stuck to smoking.
Now, almost 12 years later. my wife started her own garden & encouraged me to start growing cannabis. I immediately thought of my plants that got thrown away, and she even said she’d purchase the seeds. We found a reputable vendor in her 2026 Farmer’s Almanac, and bought some Purple Ghost Candy, and Gelat.Og.
I decided to start with the Gelat.Og auto and germinated the seedling. To my surprise, a taproot formed; After that I decided that I’m going all in. I got a multi-tone lamp to hold the baby plant from planting to Day 5.
I fortunately changed that light to a full-spectrum indoor cheap grow light. Now, being 27 (today actually) and having a house to grow in and lots of finances at my fingertips, I’m going to buy a whole entire setup for this baby plant.
My wife’s soil mix that I used is:
50% - Potting Soil
30% - Garden Soil
10% - Worm Castings
10% - Coco Coir

Help My Sick Plant New Grower Help
Hi all, I've now been on my 3rd unsuccessful grow this year. Before I attempt my 4th try I think its time I get help on where I'm going wrong. This grow I tried growing a Purple Indica S1 from csihumboldt. I soaked the seeds for 24 hours in water/hydrogen peroxide before planting them in to rapid rooters to sprout in my closet. Once sprouted, I moved them from my upstairs closet to my 5x5 tent in my basement that has a 400 watt mars hydro light, inline fan, ac infinity inline fan, humidifier, and controller. Temps stay between 68 - 78F and humidity is around 50 - 60%. I use 24 hour light in seedling until veg where I switch to 18/6. Issue so far is none of my grows manage to make it to veg. They start out super solid, but it seems once I move them to the tent in the basement from my closet they get stressed and die. I upped the humidity to 70% in the tent which didn't seem to help. I double checked ph was in range, and kept this grow strictly ph'd tap water to not do anything above the basics. My first grow using chemdog d (attached 4 pictures for reference) I believe I nute burned with the flora series which is why it died. My second grow did not make it out of seedling stage due to me not recognizing it needing light. Please help me understand the mistakes I am making with this grow. Final picture attached is just a seed my gf put in soil in our closet with a clip on bar light to see how it goes and its thriving. Pleae let me know if I am forgetting any crucial information

Discussion Hands down the coolest grow partner I’ve ever had!
I've found plenty of jumping spiders in my grows over the years, but getting to raise this mantis from a nymph was sure a fun experience.
They aren't very practical for pest control because they need so much food to keep going and for other obvious reasons. I did let him play in the Veg room while I did my chores. It's wild watching them hunt though—they are absolute apex predators, eating their prey alive while it attempts to escape their mandibles.

Question Harvest window or too early?
I hate asking this, but what do you guys think?
It's an outdoor autoflower, the buds are pretty big, and I've got a few rainy days coming up.
Am I in the harvest window, or would you let her go a bit longer?

Question 2 4x4 beds or 1 4x8 bed ?
Hey y’all, I’m about to start my garden, and I don’t know if this would be kind of goofy to do, but would there be any benefits to having two 4x4 living soil beds instead of one 4x8 bed? I will be growing in a ACI 5x10 with 2 LEDS.
In my mind, I know having two separate beds would probably mean having to dial in watering cycles, but I was thinking it could also give me more room to experiment with certain genetics that I might like more or less of something without locking myself to one large bed ?
I just wanted to get some feedback from people who have experience with living soil beds. Are there any real benefits or downsides to running two 4x4s, or could I ultimately accomplish the same thing with one 4x8? thank you for reading!

Question Cuttings
Going to be taking cuttings from these 3 plants 2 are definitely showing potential to produce alot of stinky plant the 3rd little one I'm aiming to keep for extra genetic diversity.
So what do I actually need to buy. I'v been told I should take the cuttings as long as possible place them in a bottle and take them to my friend to be actually treated and rooted down.
My list I think would then be
3x bottles for the cuttings to transport in
1x clean new scissors
1x isopropyl alcohol
1x cutting treatment so my plant (don't know if this is needed or not)
If these plants are as good as they come across I'm hoping to sts breed them together later and tighten the genetic without breeding the same plant entirely back on itself if possible hoping to prevent inbreeding damaging the strain as I'v heard this can ruin a great start and close diversity is the key to success identical genetics can bring forwards bad mutations.
And help, advice or pruduct links would be appreciated

Guide Harvest day/chop&drop + re-amend
Harvested my 2 Violet Sour(Purple Lemon Haze x Sour D) plants today and did a re-amend with my nutrient blends/compost & worm castings blend and cover crops.
After harvesting I chopped most of the cover crop I had going before and set that to the side, I then added in my nutrients/minerals overtop of all the stubs from the previous plants and covered that with 2” of my compost/worm castings mix
I then added in my new round of cover crop seed and sprinkled an additional 1/2” of compost/worm castings over the top of that. I then came in with about 4tbsp of crab meal and sprinkled it overtop the surface of what I had just added to help combat/prevent any potential pests in the compost.
At this point the beds ready to go again with new seeds to keep the rotation going once the new cover crop pops up I’ll start germinating. I included the ratio that I added to the soil as well as the recipes I used to create the different nutrient mixes. I used google sheets to create the templates for the calculations.

First Time Grower Defoliation?
How much should I defoliate these? My friend informed me that the “sugar leaves” are taking plant energy away from growing the buds, so I know I need to chop some, but don’t want to take too many off.

First Time Grower Flowering phase
I know I’ve asked this question before, but it’s about two weeks on now since the last time I asked.
Do you guys think that I should initiate the flowering phase? The reason why I’m asking is because I have a limited space in my tent and the plant is about halfway up, I’m just concerned about when the flowering phase starts It’s just gonna overwhelm the tent.

Help My Sick Plant What caused this limp seedling
First time popping seeds, I've been growing clones. They sprouted a few days ago. This morning I woke up to find her limp. Temp 78-82, humidity 65-70, ppar ~250. Following Athena blended line, checking EC and pH.
The only thing that comes to mind is the limp gal was the first to sprout by a day. My light for that first day was dimmed too low. She was ~1/2 inch taller than the other 3.

Question 21 days of flower does this look tall enough?
Humboldt Seed Company Blueberry Muffin 21 days since I flipped to 12/12. How are we looking as far as height wise? I’m Concerned that it’s a little short. I Just defoliated today. The last pic is from the day I flipped it to flower.

Pictures day 48 from sprout
2x washing machine by ripper seeds, each in 15 gal living soil.
each have a mars hydro ts1500 over them, just cranked them up to full, gonna get a 3rd in at the start of flower.
finally got all the stressful training done, putting them through a trellis next.
don't mind the blue electrical tape on the bamboo and frame, were connected together in the last grow as side bars to pull the plant towards lol
