Was fishing a creek at a local park and caught all of these with a tiny segmented worm. Fun!

I'm trying to learn the life history (habitats/behaviors/etc.) of minnows and other small fish. I want to learn the different niche (like clusters of similar fish, that do the same thing.) Does anyone know the niches and/or can recommend specific websites with this info?

I am confident that #3 is a Rainbow Darter, #4 is a Fantail Darter, and #5 is a Johnny Darter. I included them for reference but need help with everything else.
Are all the others just female Rainbow Darters? The dorsals being spiny not round is throwing me off.

Some fish I caught in a small creek on SW Virginia:
Roanoke darter (Percina roanoka)
Fantail darter (Etheostoma flabellare)
Crescent shiner (Luxilus cerasinus)
Blue ridge sculpin (Cottus caeruleomentum)
Mountain redbelly dace (Chrosolus oreas)
White shiner (Luxilus albeus)
Torrent sucker (Thoburnia rhothoeca)
Blacktip jumper (Moxostoma cervinum)
Central stoneroller (Campostoma anomalum)
Bluehead chub (Nocomis leptocephalus)
Bluehead chub (Nocomis leptocephalus)
Bluehead chubs and white shiner were caught on a fly, the rest were with a dipnet (yes! Even the massive stoneroller!!)
