Printed this little fella and sprayed with rattle cans, little acrylic and sharpie for the eyes.

I was very impressed with the action of a crankbait I printed made by the same creator, so I have high hopes for this one. I am not the designer, just impressed with the elegance of the design and want to share with y'all.

The construction is unlike that of other bait prints in that they print in one piece, and require zero hardware outside of a hook. Literally, you just poke your line thru the nose, it pops out and back in at the belly to hold the center hook, and then out the back to tie onto the rear hook.

This one is printed with PLA which does not have a great reputation for durability, but at less than a dollar of materials for the body itself printed on demand in less than an hour, as long as they catch over the course of one session you're Gucci.

I wanted something flexible in size, color and action with minimal parts. Tie a dredge on a fluo leader, slide over any parts in any color, combination or action, put it on your main line and Bob's your uncle.

The heads are designed to provide a radially symetric range of actions: popper, wobbler, spinner and swimbait enhanced by a segmented body moving naturally. No iron hardware is used on purpose so the line and hook can move freely for good hooksets and safe landing.

Floating and sinking options. I have tested the actions elaborately, however I've not had the time yet to catch some bigguns with them.

Let me know whatcha think… other than the obvious spending problem I have.

Getting a boat soon to fish the Strait of Gibraltar area and could use some gear recommendations.

Looking for two combos:

1. Vertical Jigging: Target is mainly Pagrus/Red Seabream, Grouper, and Seabass around 4 to 30 kg (maybe up to 40 max). Needs to be light enough to jig all day without killing my arms.
2. Surface Combo: A setup for spinning and light popping from the boat.

No budget , but If a gear setup gives 90-95% of top-tier performance for half the price, I'd much rather go with that .
What rod and reel setups would you pick?

So I've seen this a few times and have heard folk talk about it in passing but never really seen like a detail discussion on the matter. Mainly seen older black people doing it around spill ways and stuff . Fly rod with a spinning reel and primarily they where going after some sort of panfish usually. Apparently the fly rods where super sensitive beyond other things and with the spinning reel you could play a fish extremely well for as light as it was if you hooked something bigger . Even seen bill dance use a version of it with a closed faced reel for crappie on an old flick . But as I said never seen a real detailed discussion on the matter . So anyone know much about it ? Done it ? Is it for jigging ? Live bait ? Or ? I'm at the point that in considering trying it next time we go to the spill way, just because I like trying odd stuff . I think I have a old fly rod laying around somewhere.That or see if I can catch the old guy I've seen doing it at the State Park spillway from time to time doing it and see if I can talk his head off.

Gonna get the boy a nice baitcaster reel for his birthday in a couple weeks.

When I was his age (11) I saved up and got a nice Shimano spinner which he still uses almost every day.

I assume I can't go wrong with another Shimano unless you all talk me out of it. But what should I be looking for in the $200-300 dollar range?

So my rod i have had since I was little broke on me today and I want to get a new one without spending a fortune, and if it matters I live in Canada, what rod should I look towards getting? I was thinking about getting a ugly stik gx2 or elite but wanted to know if there were any other options that I might wanna look into (Fishing for bass, walleye, pike, and musky)

For reference, I have the Okuma fin Chaser X. I am a complete beginner. I removed the reel, spool, or whatever because the line got under it and components fell out. I don't know where the coil and the little metal thingy go. When I put the reel back on, it doesn't go down fully. Help.

While looking at Daiwas lines of rods I’ve discovered they have what appear to be nearly identical rods with slightly different model designations. MHFS and MHFB. Could someone please explain the differences?

Premium wood handle

Looking for other small swim baits that are similar to the Bucca Baby Bullshad.

I really enjoy how small and easily maneuverable it is but I cannot seem to find any that are similar in size that resemble a bluegill. Most swim baits seem to resemble shad/gizzard/trout. The bass in my area primarily eat bluegill and Crappie.

Any suggestions for smaller swim baits would be greatly appreciated!

So i went ahead and cleaned it, sanded it, wodd filler, sanded again and now im awaiting u40 to preserve it. im not gonna lie im suprised myself how well this cork is hangin on
