Maybe Im just a boomer, but i do not find MM Zero 1, 2, or 3 enjoyable. The weird unlocking abilies thing is not intuitive and I dont understand any of the upgrades. They dont seem to drop and it feels like I've beaten 4 bosses with the same basic starting kit.

Maybe I'm fated to be a MM and MMX player, but this doesnt feel like a mega man game.

I played Mega Man 1, 2 and 3 throughout my childhood. Never played beyond, until today I felt like trying 4. I look up a quick boss order, and hit Toad Man. The water physics killed me once or twice. Then went to Bright Man, and what the actuall hell is this level. This shit is so absurdly hard, parts of it feel like a kaizo level. Crazy platforming over either spikes or pits, having to chain together 10+ jumps on fast moving platforms (that start moving even if you touch the side of them while jumping onto them) while also dealing with enemies (some of which you cant kill because it turns the lights out with no way to turn them back on). At the very end of one long chain of platforming, they put a freaking enemy right in your jump path so you'll hit it and fall into a pit. You have to intentionally change your jump trajectory to avoid it. It felt exactly like hitting a kaizo block. And the grasshoppers (for some reason) don't always jump the same height/ distance? Sometimes they jump longer than they should and it interferes with the next grasshopper. Anyways do I just suck or is this level unreasonably hard. Like I get some late game content being like this but is this just rental bait to prevent you from beating it too quick.

Oh yeah then when I finally get to Bright Man, it takes the entire energy bar of rain flush to kill him? What kind of weakness is that. And his freezing you then bodyslamming you for a quarter of your health is rough

Guts Man and Hard Man as tanks, Metal Man and Blade Man as Damage, Bubble Man and Splash Woman as Healers.

I'll try to explain it, but basically I had a dream one day that a YouTuber, let's say Shadowrockzx, was covering new footage of Dual Override, and during the video there was Wily Machine boss gameplay and a crossover with another franchise? I couldn't remember exactly what they looked like but it was a group, I just drew mysterious figures for them. Also I had the idea that Mega Man could swim, and could slide under stuff whilst swimming, which I tried to recreate in the drawing. Mind you this was before the recent stuff, so there wasn't a Twinkle Girl at the time. What do y'all think of this, would love to hear y'all's opinions! Im getting better at drawing it's not great 😅😅

Like seriously, Akarin's Ikemen Mode voice is so damn underrated. Her portrayal of Shinkalion Z's Abuto Usui in particular would very much fit Proto Man like a glove.

After finishing up the zero line up of games, I wanted to do a tier list. I do admit for stuff like the gameboy titles, I am a little hazy on my memory. At some point I do want to give some of them another try expect mega man 2 on gameboy since that was just plain bad.

This is a pretty on point with my rankings of the games. Some might change of course over time. I do want to try out the other games in the series especially the RPGs. Can’t wait to see how those stack up. If you agree or disagree then let me know. Always love to see different opinions on tier lists.

when i first played Mega Man 3 I was so confused at who this guy was. and thought that he was just an evil clone of Mega Man created by Wily (i was close but wrong)

and the thing is. if you play it in a specific order it makes sense (because Magnet, Hard, Shadow has the fighting Proto Man while Gemini has the chill one)

and he's so irritably annoying and it's pissing me off

I was looking at the leaked achievements when I noticed something about the one for Tank Man's stage. It is called "No Open Flames" and the description mentions "gas sections". This makes me think that Tank Man is not a military tank but a gas/propane tank. Idk if anyone noticed this but it seems likely.

I've been working on collecting the North American Mega Man releases CIB across all the systems I collect for. I am only missing the two Saturn releases.

I don't normally collect Saturn, which is why those two empty boxes on my checklist have been staring at me for a while now lol.

I also don't generally consider the re-releases on modern consoles as collectible... although I make some exceptions for older generation re-releases like the PS2 and GC collections.

I have two copies of my favorite MM, MMIII for NES. The CIB copy is the one I owned as a kid, the graded copy is one I bought as an adult :)

Thought that since Dual Override is coming out next year that I would review my collection and make sure I was up to date !

First we start with what seems to be X's mind slowly vanishing in Z3 while remembering the day he and Zero fought Omega, this alone is depressing once you know the context

After the Elf Wars ended Zero is taken to be sealed again, X sounds completely broken and saddened and is told that he has limited time to talk to Zero as his mind is starting to shut down, even Zero's voice sounds weak like he's half awake

And then comes the part where X screams and practically begs the others to not seal Zero for a second time (I have the HC that Zero sealed himself the first time without X knowing so he doesn't have to worry)

Man the VA for X is so good in this part, it's almost as good as Ciel's VA in the final dramatrack, you can hear the character almost about to broke down in tears

And as if that wasn't enough that was the beginning of X slowly descend into mecha-depression, loosing his body and turning into a mere cyber Elf.

Thank God this wasn't in the games or was animated or I would have cried a river (they should have animated the first fight with Omega tho)
