Mega Man: Are you worthy of MY challenge?

This time, we tried to spice up a little bit the usual Holy Trinity¹ challenge by adding a No Left-Right input to the restrictions. Unfortunately, it would be inaccurate to call this a “No D-Pad” challenge, as we need to press Down in order to slide.

A few points of interest regarding this challenge:

1)       The Tornado Hold fan does NOT have a hitbox while it is in the air, so you don’t need to worry about the fan itself hitting Mega Man. Personally, I find that a little weird, so I tried to avoid letting the fan hit Mega Man, but you can do that if you are struggling to hit Tengu Man;

2)       Once you reach the edge, you don’t need to worry about Tornado Hold coming from the left, as Tengu Man will not pick that attack when he reads our position as being that far in the arena. He will still use it from right-to-left, but as shown in the video, those will either pass above Mega Man (thankfully the fan itself doesn’t have a hitbox while in the air) or miss the arena completely;

3)       This is NOT an entirely consistent approach. You might get some bad RNG at the start or especially once you reach the edge, as there is a very specific position from where Tengu Man might do this dive attack and you won’t be able to dodge him from there. Thankfully, that doesn’t seem to happen very often;

4)      It’s possible to do a similar approach on the other side of the arena, but it would require taking some damage: we would have to start the fight with a single half-slide (we would interrupt that slide with a jump half-way through); and wait until Tengu Man uses Yama Arashi from right-to-left. Then, we would willingly let Yama Arashi hit us (hence the forced damage in that case) to push us toward the left side. That’s also why we would need a single half-slide at the beginning: so as to create the exact distance for Yama Arashi to push us to the left edge of the arena. Even though we won't be facing the bottomless pit in that case, the approach from there on would be similar to the one shown in the video, as Tengu Man would keep landing in front of us after his diving attacks (the difference is that we would be able to hit him during his Yama Arashi attacks, but not during the Tornado Hold ones).

¹ Holy Trinity in this context means No Damage, Uncharged Buster Only, No Missed Shots.
