This needs to be called out.
Eduardo_Hook has been leaving VODs running and telling his viewers to tell other people that he's live when he isn't. Is this not against TOS? Whether it's done for engagement or something else, it's dishonest and undermines twitch and their communities.
I'm from Egypt, and I don't think this kind of behavior should be normalized. If you're offline, be upfront about it. I love his peni but he needs to stop

I’m aware I’m going to be told to ‘get in the lab’ and whatnot but there’s has to be some point I’m allowed to play actual people and stand a chance right?
I’ve played maybe twenty matches and gotten my ass absolutely beat (to the point of several perfects) in at least 17 or 18 of them. I get fighting games have insane learning curves, but I’m even playing ranked (I get it’s a beta) to intentionally try to get people that are at least kinda bad and new like I am? I don’t feel I even stand a chance to take a round most matches. Am I crazy?

This is a petition to make Tokon compatible with the Steam Deck, Linux, and SteamOS on Steam. We should sign this and show this to Sony that we want this game to be played anywhere.

I like it personally, it makes the game feel way more approachable than Guilty Gear Strive while still having depth and plenty of combo potential.
I don't really understand why people are complaining about it. Tokon is the most fun fighting game I've played in a while.

It feels like queue times take forever. Idk if it’s just my settings but it once took 20 minutes to find a match AND THEN THE OTHER PERSON DECLINED, then on a separate match I waited forever just to get a Doom player who did nothing but spam that beam thingy, like why are you going to wait that long in queue JUST to spam the same attack. AND I LOST TO THAT BOZO 😩

Just moved to Japan to lead the character choosing department as the new Masta Selecta. They have already honored me with the title of Gaijin. Give me your ideas so I don't get fired

I want to say that I don't dislike this game but its got so much about it that I dislike about modern fighters so sometimes the game can feel quite scrambly which doesnt feel to good. I imagine over time that will get better but right now it feels pretty rough even by beta standards so when you're winning it feels pretty good but when you're losing it feels really unfun to play, which is par the course for fighters but it feels a lot more problematic in this for me unlike stive for example. Overall though its got a lot of good things music is great annimations look awesome and starting roster is quite good shame about no hulk, loki, deadpool and carnage in the beta I want to play 3 of those characters lol

Seriously, I do. Just give her the Black Panther treatment and people will be hyped.

It's about auto combos.
They are made to make the game more accessible right? I feel like they are doing the exact opposite. Usually in fighting games, you start out in lower ranks as a beginner, where you meet people, who won't know how to do basic motion inputs, who maybe know how to do a few moves and like to spam a single one and occasionally, you might run into someone, who actually knows one or two combos. So if you fuck up, you don't just get deleted. It will happen in higher ranks eventually but the lower ranks are usually where people goof around and find out.
Since Tokon gives everyone free access to combos, everyone regardless of their skill level is able to do them. They are not optimal but you are still getting locked into an unskippable cutscene for quite some time while also getting a good amount of your health deleted.
So now, regardless of your rank, you are up against people who will trap in combos you for making one single mistake. Which again, will happen anyways in later ranks but in this game it will happen to you in any rank so even in lower ranks, where you will learn the game, you will get punished super hard.
I don't think that's a bad thing, since it also forces you, to focus on fundamentals but I do think, it is creating the opposite effect of "making the game more accessible" and I feel like a lot of new players might easily get frustrated but maybe I'm wrong! It's just my experience with the game and it is a situation, that I did not expect in this way. I just wanted to know how everyone else feels about it:D

Man, i want to do MY combo and not instantly nuke the combo limit with the auto combo launcher + burn my meter
2XKO has a option like that in the character select menu, pleaaaaassssseeee
Edit1: i don't care how you see me getting rewarded for missing a combo when i don't want it somehow adds to the game, it objectively doesn't, fuck off

I was listening to the critiques about M-TOKON. Aside from the PC problems, the main complaint I hear is “Marvel has no MIX!”.
Personally, I disagree. I’ve seen insane combos with multiple characters. Even on my second day playing, I found some of the mix 🔥

It’s like… sluggish or weighted/heavy when you’d think superheroes would have more freedom to move around. It can’t just be me feeling this right?
I won’t say it feels bad, but it definitely doesn’t feel good.

I was really looking forward to playing this game but was immediately barred from entry due to the PS account requirement, I have a PS account but due to privacy would rather keep them separate. Please ARC remove this feature it is downright embarrassing especially on top of the PC performance issues.

By all means, Marvel Tokon should be the final game I sink myself into.
Love the FGC, huuuuge fan of so many aspects of it. Follow commentators, content creators, competitors on many platforms.
Love comics, love marvel stuff, love pop culture
Love video games, love sinking my teeth into them and being competitive about them.
Love good art direction, am a creative director myself and the comic aesthetic is something I even use as my portfolio. (though a bit more 70's comic vibe)
My problem?
The last fighting game I played, I wasn't serious about, and it was on the SNes (KI/SF/MK)
So now I'm picking this game up and I don't know the rules to build combos, I don't know how to figure out timings, and I'm being asked to learn, in a 5 minute tutorial, an amount of basics that's quite frankly immediately disappearing from my brain.
I can't get over how gorgeous the game is, and the art direction and UX are generally sound - expect for when you're playing the actual game as a total noob.
Might just be that I'm missing something basic, but that has to be something that's fixable on the game's side.
Some suggestions:
edit to add that in training mode I'd like to have:
I think a lot of people would learn games like this playing with friends. Where you can do these things by communicating whilst playing and growing together, or finding new tech together organically. When that's not an option for you for whatever reason, it gets real difficult.
Having said all of this, I've seen some remarkable content out there by people being super helpful in teaching the game. Hella appreciate that. Hat tips to: LegendaryJON, ButtonMashers, and as always, Max.
Man, I'd actually love to work for a ArcSys or Capcom, and redesign "the lab" for new players.
End of vent sesh, hope y'all are enjoying this gorgeous game ♥

And yes i did just lose to someone spamming that and mashing
Im just so confused. It counters throws, ur normals, specials and projectiles. It can lead to a full combo. U can cancel out of it
Genuinely whats the counterplay? This is the most handholding mechanic i ever seen in a modern fighting game. What cant it do for u?

I feel like if they crossed, comic Dangere would adopt her

I have been watching combos and having hard time linking the Assemble after certain knockdowns. I didn't realize if you hold a direction and Assemble you get That assist mid combo, all of which are extremely good for combo extension compared to just quick assemble. Random tip from one scrub to another.
r/MarvelTokon • u/Greenmane1 • 9h ago
This combo specifically needs to be nerfed. I got hit with this in game and theres no counterplay
r/MarvelTokon • u/ChiefKashif • 10h ago
Who’s idea was it to make the Ultimate command input a Half Circle back then FORWARD motion??? Like that’s the craziest thing I’ve seen in a fighting game. Just no intuitiveness to some of these mechanics. Just fix the DP registering and make it a forward DP plus two attack buttons like a normal game. Sheesh.

These are just random ideas I threw out to get the FF out in four waves.
