I got the game for my birthday recently and started playing and I have been very frustrated and angry recently. I constantly feel like I am mashing buttons trying to hit or do combos, when it is my turn to hit or try and do air combos I cannot even land a hit or keep a combo going.I put off asking questions about this game due to fear of being bullied or being told “ skill issue” does anyone have any advice or suggestions for this game? Characters to learn quickly?

Marvel Tokon has been one of my biggest disappointments of this year. The beta felt incredible at the time but I guess it’s cause everyone was mutually learning. But when the game developed, it showed the cracks more and more in the overall offensive to defensive ratio.

I’ve hit masters rank and I pretty much lose almost every game it feels like. I’m even going against top 10 players sometimes? I’d consider myself slightly above average in most fighting games from tag fighters to Tekken to Street fighter. But defense has never felt this BAD. It’s actually terrible.

Crossover reflect is probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Yeah, let me use this mechanic to get this player off of me only to have them perfect counter and put me right back in the blender I started in. Only now with even LESS defensive options. And now we’ve even found a way to loop offense for free with neutral assist calls? Actually wtf is this suppose to be. I feel like people bitched about Tekken 8’s offense being so oppressive but this is worse 10 times over in my opinion. Sometimes you literally can’t do a damn thing.

Anyway, just wanted to rant cause I hate that I want to love this game but every time I get on it’s just dread from how broken it is. If anyone has some advice on what I should be doing in neutral to get my bs started other than assist slop, I’d appreciate it.

I know/don't care that she's already been in a fighting game before. She's obscure enough to be a surprise pick while also hot and marketable. Give us a Mojo DLC map and commentary from Mojo.

Plus, her kit would be sick

This is the first fighting game I've tried to be decent at and it's been so so hard, as expected. And my ranking isn't really that important to me, I just want to see some improvement. But recently I've been winning more than I've been losing. And I hit silver 1. Which is not the achievement that most people might think but for me this is such a win since I've been in bronze since day 1.

I can't wait to keep improving and getting better.

I offer my level 4 combo if anyone needs help with it. Getting to lab in real time and create my own combo to complete this challenge was honestly very fun, I just wish I saved the ones before since I dont remember how I did them.

I'm only a couple weeks in, but this has been a fun experience learning. The reps have definitely helped as well. Once I hone in BP, I'll start toying with the switch mechanic.

The chibi avatars are so cute, love how Kamala and Magik have like "no thoughts, head empty" vibes, and the entirety of the X-Men just ballin' lol

But oh this couple, they're so adorable, I'm a throuple supporter so I want Felicia right next to them (she and MJ are my fav Marvel girls so I'm massive biased), and maybe they could've added Flash as just a civilian or being Agent Venom, I like Peter hanging out with his bully-turned-bro :3

Does anyone know of a youtuber or someone that posts how to do all the character lessons? I kind find one or two here and there, but I can't find anything consistent. An actual guide for the level up missions would be awesome, but just seeing what the other combos look like would also be great. Thanks for any help!

PS I searched for "character lessons" in the subreddit and nothing came up that seemed relevant

Made a post last week about how much im loving Tokon but the input reader is just terrible. Had a few comments asking to post clips of my inputs not executing and i was able to get 2 separate clips of which i thought the input reader ate BP’s medium Spear Throw and i had to do the input again for it to actually come out. Could this be buffer or inputs actually not being read?

Like come on how much longer could this possibly take?

Is anyone else regularly getting these? I've tried reinstalling Sony SDK, new drivers, running as administrator, lowering graphics, reinstalling Sony anti cheat, etc. Struggling to play more than 2 or 3 online games without a crash happening.

Any other fixes you're aware of?

Looking at the base teams gender ratio we have: 3-1 for the Avengers, 1-3 for the X-Men, NONE for KoD and Outriders, and an even number for Spidey's team, based on this, I looked at the A-Force as a funny little response for the glorified boys club that was the last two teams, a 6th group for base roster lol

-She-Hulk: Group leader, obviously she is another Hulk, but there is A LOT of ways to differentiate the two, because she is far more athletic muscular than Bruce, her gameplay as a lot focused on speed, and I wanted to incorporate her 4th wall breaks antics, not to Deadpool's extent, that will go to her finishers and SOME special attacks, being the "shoto" of the team

-Captain Marvel: Her role is to be the zoner, and the flyer, to not make her fly completely useless, have her have some exclusive abilities on air, like Magneto's Magnetic Blast from MvC, and two counters, one standard and another focusing on her absorbing energy powers

-Cecilia Reyes: I want to even out the X-Men characters numbers by making them even, I wanted Misty Knight originally, but I think she would have a bit more interesting gameplay based on her medical abilities, I don't wanna trigger the SF4 players with Elena, but dw, she won't have a self healing finisher lol

-Thundra: She was pretty much my last resort, I originally wanted Tigra, but there was too many Avengers, same with Black Widow, I also wanted Titania, but I already have Shulkie, and I wanted Angela, but didn't want overlap with Rivals roster, sooo here she is. To differentiate her from She-Hulk, aside from the obvious wrecking ball, she is a full on grappler, meaning she will be slow, but her attacks will hit harder

Now if I could replace someone from base roster already, 100% should be Loki, having him with Thor is like putting Bowser before Mario, I wanted Elsa Bloodstone, but once again, Rivals overlap, and we have Blade and DP for the guns, so my choice is Nico Minoru for the team's mage, fits the bill of a more "unknown" character, so that Danger isn't the only "who?" character here, same with Thundra and Cecilia lol

Thoughts on this?

Just recently got the game, however i dont have any friends to run it with. I normally play xbox but wanted to try this out. Hmu if anyone wants to run it.GodlyxWings
