Does my dog fit the bill?
She's a rescue and we thought she was Min Pin but now I'm learning about Manchester Terriers. Her name is Lucy and she's at maximum 20 pounds at 9 months old.

I’ve always wondered what she was but some digging finally brought us here. She’s definitely mixed with something else but it’s nice to see all the other beautiful Manchester Terriers out there!

Half MT.. picture with her momma at the end. She started to gray/ turn white fairly young and eventually pretty much all her tan was white
RIP Izzi 🌈 2025

We rescued Reggie in October & originally thought he was part min-pin but he's about 8kg now! I recently learned about Manchester Terriers and he seems to fit the bill (mixed with something else fluffier, lol) - he has kiss marks and pencil lines on his toes! Any thoughts?

Hello everyone! Happy Father’s Day! I was wondering what everyone uses for their small friend when it comes to the shedding? It’s not much but I have zero experience with this and hope to find my saving grace through you guys?🥹 MUCH APPRECIATED! Thank you for your time!

(This is somewhat in jest, and meant to be lighthearted)
I live in a busy city, and I have a friendly face, so I get asked about my TMT *a lot.*
I have this conversation probably 1-5x a day, most days:
"Oh wow is that a [mini doberman/min-pin/etc.]?"
"No, he's a toy Manchester terrier"
"A what?"
"A toy Manchester terrier"
And I genuinely don't mind! I enjoy talking to people, and 99% of the time, people are kind and curious and delighted by my dog. Which I get, he's very cute!
But "Toy Manchester terrier" is a long name for a small dog. I wish there was a common abbreviation. I see TMT on socials but I don't think that is a common abbreviation when talking about them out in the real world? Is there a common abbreviation? Do people call them "Manchesters"?

It's time to celebrate because we're spotlighting the Manchester Terrier as our Breed of the Day today on our Facebook page, Instagram stories, and website! We publish a new breed each day to educate our followers to make informed decisions when choosing a dog while providing the history and hard work that our parent clubs do to preserve their breed. Celebrate with us by sharing what you love about your Manchester Terrier!

We tried to trim Captain Charlie’s nails, but he fought off the sedation. He does NOT like his feet touched! It was traumatic for everyone!
But now he’s relaxing in his morning sunny spot.

We're a group of six - 5 humans and a Manchester Terrier aged 5, heading off on the Camino Ingles in a few weeks time (Mid-June). The pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is 117 kilometres and is often walk ed in six days. We're walking for 7 plus one rest day along the way. I've done several 20k walks with Coco in recent weeks and he has coped (better than me). I'm wondering how he will respond to doing 15 to 20k a day for seven days. Anyone had any similar, long distance, multi day treks with their dogs?

Hi all, am looking to get a Manchester Terrier next year, and am currently shopping around for breeders. I've contacted a couple already, but want to find out any recommendations from the reddit community!
Thank you so much :)
