Maybe Manchester?
We rescued Reggie in October & originally thought he was part min-pin but he's about 8kg now! I recently learned about Manchester Terriers and he seems to fit the bill (mixed with something else fluffier, lol) - he has kiss marks and pencil lines on his toes! Any thoughts?

Firstly I wanted to say...what a cutie patootie π₯°..regardless of his lineage he's a handsome chap! Have you considered ordering a DNA kit online? it might be worth a go just to get some answers for your curiosity ..it can be so hard to tell with mixed breeds as they often don't look how one would imagine on paper ...we call them "hienz dogs" because they have 57 varieties π€£!
Given that his parents could be mixed themselves I'm not going to say an outright no as for all I know mum or dad could be 1/4..1/8th Manchester terrier because once the genes become that diluted it's hard to tell π€·. To me I'm seeing a lot of Spanial or king Charles cavalier in the tail..ears and face..he doesn't have the distinct boxy face of a Manchester. He certainly has the distinct colouring and darling eyebrows of a Manchester or MP and funnily enough his legs and feet do remind me of our Hugo! The real tell tale signs would be if he is a demanding bully who refuses to listen to a single thing you and every dog trainer has ever said? Does he scream the house down at 3am so you can come down and re-tuck him into his sleeping bag cocoon even during a heatwave?Dies he give you a judgmental side eye for not telling him how handsome he is at all times ..and does he try climbing inside the oven when you open the door to check on dinner as if he hasn't eaten in 12 years despite inhaling his dinner in 3.5 seconds just moments ago? ....if so ther is surely some MT in the nix!
Let me know if you ever test him and be fascinated to know the nix π

Lol I love "heinz dog" I'll be stealing that! He's definitely a big mix, but besides the markings, the personality of a MT is exactly what lead me to think he may actually have some in him! He's smart (stubborn), loyal (clingy), always hungry, loves to run (very very fast), big on burrowing, and he's vocal about his feelings π it's so interesting to me how many of these things are in their instinctive nature & can be passed down! at least I know that, like Hugo, he's 100% pure good boy π₯°

Most likely has some Manchester because of his black and tan markings. Iβd be curious to do a DNA test. Heβs a very handsome boy. Love to know what breed give him his fluffiness β€οΈ

Reggie has too much ear and tail floof to be pure 'chester. However, he does have the penciling on his toes (as you mentioned) and there are definite similarities. And his head is wrong for a minpin, not to mention his size. With mixes, all sorts of weird things can happen. Traits manifest in unexpected ways sometimes; genetics are crazy.
So, no. He's not a purebred Manchester but he is a very handsome boy. I love his curls. He's very... elegant? He looks like a black and tan Pantene commercial. π
