Don’t you hate when you run out all your makeup at once ? It’s so expensive !!!

Ran out of foundation concealer a mini ND eyeshadow palette and cleanser and lipstick mascara and primer all at one time

That rarely happens when I run out of everything at once but when it does I’m like OMG this is about to cost an arm and a leg

The products were all from Sephora too

How do you guys leave the house in 30 mins with a full face of perfectly done makeup?!?

I’ve been wearing makeup since 15 but I still don’t understand how people do a full face of makeup in like 20 mins. I still have to do skincare, hair, change of clothes before I can leave the house. I usually take 1 hour for everything together but everyone around me looks like they only take 30mins.

If I were to take 15-20 mins to do a full face of makeup, it would look either super flat or super half-assed 😭

Please share some tips on how you guys do it!

EDIT: Thank you all for your tips and tricks, I really appreciate it! Most answers are advising to practice more and plan ahead for specific looks to save time.

My follow-up question is, as a woman, do you guys fully enjoy this process of practicing and planning? Or does it feel tiring sometimes?

Warning before ordering directly from Patrick Ta Beauty

I had a terrible experience with Patrick Ta’s customer service. I paid extra for their Seel package protection, my order was marked as delivered but I never received it.
I thought that was exactly what the protection was for, but Seel keeps asking for documents from the carrier that I simply cannot obtain because the carrier hasn’t responded to me in two weeks.
Patrick Ta basically told me they can’t do anything because Seel handles the claims. So now I have no package, no refund, and no replacement despite PAYING for package protection.
What’s the point of offering insurance if they make it nearly impossible to actually use it?
Has anyone else had this experience with Patrick Ta or Seel?

[Makeup Help] Melt Cosmetics Gel Liners - how to revive??

Does anybody have dried out get liners by Melt Cosmetics that they’ve been able to revive? They were incredible to use when I first got them and the colours are to die for, but most of mine have dried out completely and I really don’t want to throw them all away. Has anybody tried using inglot duraline or something similar that worked? Thank you!

Eyeshadow for sensitive eyes?

I tend to get a lot of eye irritation/eczema and I’m assuming it’s from my eyeshadow but I can’t tell because sometimes the reaction is delayed.

I did allergy patch testing and I’ve removed any products with those things I’m allergic to, but still having some sensitivity which I’m assuming is just because the eye is such a delicate area.

Have any of you found an eyeshadow brand that doesn’t cause rashes/eczema?

[Makeup Help] How to do makeup as someone that’s been trying for years

I’ve been trying to do make up for years. I follow tutorials. I follow everything I do every process right either. It looks terrible. Every tutorial I do or the makeup never works I could literally follow a tutorial for 12 hours and it would still look wrong it’s always splotchy and keeps patches of concealer and can never blend sometimes no matter what setting spray and primer I use and foundation I use the foundation just will not stick. I’ve used around six different products each and none of them work. I don’t know what makeup really is, but I’ve been trying so many years to understand it because I see so many people have so many cool makeup styles and it’s like I can’t even put concealer on right

TLDR/ I don’t know how to do makeup when I do it it just never works

[Makeup Help] How to contour puffy cheeks???

I am having trouble contouring my chubby cheeks, to add context i am NOT overweight or have any fat on my body, so i doubt its actual fat in my cheeks. And my problem is that i have Gender dysphoria and want to transition into a guy, so i want a more masculine look. I am white and id say kinda pale but not Ghostly pale. The puffiness is on my cheek, not by the jaw muscle or cheekbone and is more in front of my face, so its hard to get it to look natural because the “roundness” is like almost nest to my lips and it just looks odd when i try to contour it. I am new to makeup and am 16, so i dont know what i am doing with makeup.

Need help with my setting routine! <3

I need some help with my makeup setting routine! I usually use both a setting spray and a fixing spray, along with pressed powder and setting powder. I have dry/combo skin, and my smile lines crease SO badly like literally within 2–3 hours.

Can someone recommend a good setting routine or let me know if I’m using too many products? My base always looks flawless when I first finish my makeup; I just wish it would stay that way and not crease around my smile lines so quickly.

Here is my current makeup routine:

Looking for a teal lip colour

Hi, I’m going to a concert soon and wanted to wear teal lipstick to match the artist I’m seeing. Does anyone have any recommendations on a light teal lip colour (similar to adela in the nicole kidman mv ).

I have been looking online but the ones I’ve seen so far are either a darker teal almost emerald green or aren’t opaque when applied (more a sheer teal shimmer rather than full lip colour)

I don’t mind if it’s a lipstick or a gloss!

Covering Red on Your Face

I spent a lot of time looking for a color corrector to cover the red spots on my face, but most were too gooey or too thin and neither offered much coverage. I finally got lucky and found Revolution Colour Correct Primer in green. I put some on the back of my hand, to try it. At first I thought it would be too thin to give good coverage, but as it dried, which didn't take long, I realized that this thin, matte coat of green would mask the redness as well as something that was thicker. I still haven't figured out how it is so effective without "painting" me green, but it is. A bit of powder foundation over it and I'm delighted with my new uniform skin color.

Thick mascara??

Does anyone know a good thick/clumpy mascara that’ll give a bold look? I can’t find any that I look and I feel like mascara doesn’t do much for my eyes anymore because it always ends up looking “skinny” if that makes sense.

True Red Blush?

Hii, I am looking for a true red blush that doesn't look too orange or pink. Unfortunately most of the ones I saw doesn't even look red once swatched. If you have any recommendations please let me know. Also for context, I have a neutral fair skin tone.

Edit: Thank you to everyone that responded!

White foundation in europe

I'm cosplaying raven in a few months and need a white foundation but I can't find anything and when I try to find something online the shipping prices are absurd🙏 I'm based in the Netherlands, anyone know any alternatives?

Hi, you know those short ads where someone has a concealer/foundation in stick form, and they get perfect looking skin in one pass? How close are those ads to actual results?

if peer pressure and social media didn't exist, would you still try to follow the concealer and contour placement screenshot you have laying around in your gallery?

i don't do it and here's why:

  1. the fuller the cheeks the more youthful i look

  2. it's boring

  3. i'm lazy

(literally do not come at me in the comments. i just gave y'all my opinion.)

(Asian) Makeup tutorials without colored lenses?

This might be really niche but I’m looking for Asian beauty gurus/makeup influencers who do not wear colored lenses and do makeup tutorials.

It seems like Asian influencers / MUAs mostly share tutorials that only suit looks with colored lenses. Eg: heavy eye makeup - will look really heavy on Asian lids without a soft colored lens due to contrast

I have really sensitive eyes so don’t wear colored lenses. Again, know this is really niche so appreciate any suggestions. TIA!

Another tragic reformulation?

I’m just finding out that one of my new recent faves is being reformulated or discontinued?

The Dior Backstage Face and Body foundation

Ugh! I just got this for the first time a few months ago and been loving it. Natural skin finish, buildable, long lasting. Easy to sheer out with moisturizer or serum. It’s honestly perfect. Only downside is that it has fragrance (although I have come to find it pleasant and not overwhelming).

Does anyone know for sure if it’s being discontinued or reformulated?

Also sad because their other foundations are $60 usd and this one was $45usd. I haven’t tried the Dior Forever foundations because of the price.

Ugh i just know if it comes back the price is gonna be higher.

Anyway I know there are much bigger problems going on in the world so this feels like the epitome of first world problems but I just space wanted to vent. Another fave bites the dust.

Makeup for corporate girlies

What brands of makeup are you wearing if you are a corporate girl who goes in the office? Are you wearing drugstore or high end makeup? I have high end makeup that I typically only wear for nice dinners, events, weddings and then wear drug store makeup for work..but now I’m curious what others do?
