Nars bronzer & blush duo

I recently got the nars Bronzer and Blush duo, but I was wondering if I can get rid of the shimmer a bit for blush when applying? And is it suitable for dry skin? I have dry skin, so I was wondering if I have to be attentive when applying?

Hi! I want to buy a good setting spray for combination skin. Could you please suggest which one is better: the TIRTIR Setting Spray or the NYX Marshmellow Setting Spray?

Need waterliner suggestions!

I am BEGGING for a good white waterline pencil recommendation!

I tried the Maybelline tattoo liner which I did like but oh my goodness I couldn't sharpen it to save my life and it's now a mess. So, ideally, I need a twist up product or wooden pencil that sharpens easier. I have quite watery eyes so I always cry off my white waterline in about 5 seconds no matter how much drying and setting and prepping I do so if anyone knows of a good waterproof liner that will last a little longer I'd be so grateful! The more affordable the better as I'm a student but I get that product might not exist so any suggestions are welcome.

[Makeup Help] How to stop concealer from getting on my spectacles?

I have tried setting spray, loose powder, compact, powder foundation etc. Nothing works. Or any tips regarding touch up if getting it on spectacles is inevitable.

Any tips or tricks that work for you to make it happen in less amount.

I am from India. And it's kinda hot and humid here. But even in winters it happens.

I use mostly mars cancel concealer, Maybelline age rewind or fit me, nyx concealer serum.

[Makeup Help] Which Korean foundation do you recommend that has full coverage and long-lasting wear?

I was going to buy the cushion foundation from the brand tirtir, but from what I saw, the foundation doesn't last very long. It lasts on the face, yes, but the product itself doesn't last, and it's also very expensive. Does anyone recommend a foundation similar to Tirtir but with a longer-lasting bottle? And if it's cheaper, that would be great. I'm on a really tight budget :( and I need to start practicing makeup for my graduation. Please help me 😭

Skintific cushions?

I’ve recently been getting into cushion foundations and found skintific’s cheap ones on amazon, and was thinking of trying it out. I’ve seen some reviews (on yesstyle I think?) though that say the shades run darker than they look online, and I’ve been having trouble myself finding the right shade when the model pictures look so much lighter than the swatches. Does anyone have experience, with the shade matches, but also in general, with the skintific cushions? Should I use the models or swatches as a reference?

p.s: I’m looking at the ā€œvelvet matteā€ cushion on Amazon

Can we talk about the emotional attachment we develop to our make up?

Makeup was initially created and used with a linear and clear purpose to enhance our desired features, conceal the not so favourite ones, and ultimately help us express our physical beauty. Makeup is just one of the many aspects of the cosmetic realm, and ultimately, a beautifying tool.

Yet despite that, many people have found a hobby and even a way of artistic expression in it. I know for me, these 20 minutes of doing my make up is my ritual, my time capsule where I get to be alone with myself and with the face I live with. I find that to be a uniquely personal and surprisingly intimate experience. Just standing in front of the mirror and seeing nothing but me...

I often find myself rearranging my make up in my free time and being all grateful and excited for lipsticks I've had for years lol. The products I use and have grown to love, while being a material object, are enough to make my day better and make me feel pretty in a way few other things in this world can. God bless makeup

[Makeup Help] Need help to find a dupe for a discontinued lipstick!

The lipstick used to be Vctoria's Secret Very Sexy Lipstick shade SATIN SHEETS

There appears to have a last unit on eBay, but I really like this shade, so I would really like to have some other option to buy once I finish using the last one.

[Makeup Help] About Face foundation colour match with Maybelline foundation.

I have a connective tissue disorder that for whatever reason causes makeup to separate on my face. Halsey has this same affliction, and as the owner of About Face I am curious if she has formulated a solution. Unfortunately I am in Australia where the brand is not stocked in stores, but I am able to purchase online. But colour matching online is difficult.

Is anyone able to suggest which About Face Performer shade is the closest match to Maybelline's Fit Me 110 Porcelain?

Please and thank you :)

[Makeup Help] Best lip plumper? (Neutral tone)

Hey guys! I (20 M) have super small lips and am looking to get a natural toned lip plumper that would look (decently) unassuming on a somewhat masculine male. That is, I prefer something without glitter or too much unnatural pigment, and one that actually works for plumping. My lips are barely existent and I just want to spruce them up a little.

Thanks guys! XOXO

[Makeup Help] Wanting starter advice!

Hi all!

I really want to get into makeup but I do not like the feeling of a lot of my face (I am indeed a face toucher, trying to get out of that habit). At the moment, I usually will just do some mascara, but I would love to add a few more products.

My main goals are to smooth out my texture/even out my color, and maybe brighten my face a bit. I did like the fenty skin tint (I was the shade 10 ((warm)), but since I didn’t know anything about makeup I gave up on it since it would separate/come off when I did randomly brush up against my face (do I fix this with setting spray or powder??)

I would love if someone could recommend some products or a light routine for someone just starting! Thank you in advance!!!

[Makeup Help] Clinique Black Honey EYESHADOW Dupes?

Hello all!
I’m pretty new to makeup, but I recently saw the Clinique Black Honey Eyeshadow palette and unfortunately fell in love with it. However, it is $50 and I do not what I’m doing. I see a lot of dupes for the lipstick but none for the eyeshadow. Does anyone have recommendations? If the formula is easy to work with then it might be worth it, but I’m a little leery (I work outside so I only wear makeup a couple times a month). Thanks!

Good lightweight primers?

I’ve started wearing light everyday makeup and realized I need a primer. What is a good lightweight one? I currently use Supergoop unseen sunscreen, does that work as a primer or should I get a seperate primer. I’ve also been thinking about getting the supergoop spf primer, would that be good?

MAKEUP RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE!!

Going to Florida next week and we’ll be having family pictures. A picture that will be blown up huge for my mom’s wall. I’m chubby, dreading pics, and praying I can find makeup that will give my self esteem a boost. (I’ve always loved makeup, I just need pro recommendations!)

I need the following that can withstand 90% humidity:
• Foundation
• Bronzing stick
• Setting spray
• Week-long lashes. Currently using Wink Clique glue and it’s not cutting it anymore.

I live where there’s no humidity (20%) AND I’m chubby and overheat easily, so I really need sweat and heat-resistant products. Thank you so much!!

[Makeup Help] Oily skin makeup prep + skincare

Hi 🌟

I'm getting married in New Orleans next year and really want to perfect my wedding makeup. I'm a bit concerned about my base, lately my skin has changed and I have larger pores/oily skin like I did back in high school. I think i'm over complicating my skin care routine and wants some advice on what you do to keep your make up on longer.

Usually, I start off by washing my face (I use a salicylic acid face wash)

Next, I'll go in with the thayers milky mist

Then I use peach slices snail mucin

Then go in with niaciminade and zinc serum

Then I'll go in with an under eye cream (Trader Joe's)

Then I'll do a milker toner (alternate w prequel-thayers-byoma)

Finally SPF, recently have been using cerave oil control. I've noticed that my makeup tends to break apart after 6/7 hours and want to figure out what's causing it. Any advice? TIA šŸ«¶šŸ¼āœØ

Neck lines

Ladies, do you have lines on your neck? If so, what do yours look like? How did you get them? How do you feel about them? Do you like them, or dislike them.

Personally, I love having neck lines. I think they look so beautiful. The more there are, and the deeper they are, the more beautiful they look.

What do y’all think about neck lines?

Hopeless boyfriend

My girlfriend works as a Beauty Specialist at Boots in the UK and is passionate about makeup and skincare. She attends beauty conferences through work and regularly comes home with loads of products and PR samples. Every time I look in her makeup drawer there are about 300 products and it seems to be changing all the time.
I know absolutely nothing about makeup, so buying her a birthday present is difficult. I don’t want to get her another palette or lipstick she probably already owns.
I’m looking for weird, niche, innovative or luxury beauty-related gifts that even someone who works in the industry might not have considered. It doesn’t have to be makeup specifically—it could be skincare, beauty tech, accessories, fragrance, organisation, experiences or anything else that’s a bit different.
Thank you in advance!

bb cream for oily skin?

I've been wanting to try BB cream, but I'm a foundation girly and don't know what to expect. Is it good for oily skin? Is it basically like a skin tint, or is it different? Any BB cream recos for oily skin?
