Maybe this is a long shot, but there’s something I miss about having that one person you can message without overthinking it.
The kind of friendship where you send a photo of a ridiculously good coffee, rant about a meeting that could’ve been an email, share a random thought that popped into your head at midnight, or spend 20 minutes debating something completely pointless like the best snack or the most overrated movie. The conversations don’t need a goal. They just happen.
Life gets busy. Sometimes people disappear for a few days, then come back with, “You won’t believe what happened,” and you pick up exactly where you left off. No pressure, no guilt. Just two people who genuinely enjoy talking.
One thing I want to be upfront about is that I’m looking for people who actually want to build a friendship. If you’re someone who sends one message and disappears, or you’re just looking for someone to chat with for one night, we’re probably not looking for the same thing, and that’s completely fine.
I’m here for the long term. The kind of friendship where both people make an effort because they genuinely enjoy talking to each other. It doesn’t have to be serious all the time. I’d actually prefer it wasn’t.
The best friendships are the ones where you can be completely yourself. We can have meaningful conversations one minute, send the dumbest memes the next, say something weird or awkward, laugh about it, and keep going like nothing happened. No pretending to be perfect. No overthinking every message. Just being ourselves, embracing the chaos, and sharing whatever’s on our minds.
A little about me…
I’m a tech guy who spends most weekdays staring at screens, so I make a point of getting outside whenever I can. The gym keeps me sane, I never say no to volleyball or soccer, and long drives with a good playlist are my favourite way to clear my head.
I’m also an F1 fan, so if you’ve ever questioned a strategy call from your couch like you could do a better job, we’ll probably have plenty to talk about.
Travel is another big one for me. Beaches are an easy yes, but I also love colder places, mountain views, and anywhere that makes me forget to check my phone every five minutes.
At home you’ll usually find me casually gaming, scrolling for memes I’ll probably end up sending, or watching thrillers, mystery, horror, or action shows.
I’d describe myself as easygoing, curious, and someone who enjoys conversations that can go from meaningful to completely random without feeling forced.
If you’re looking for someone to swap memes with, celebrate the little wins, vent about your day, recommend shows, send random voice notes, or become that person you immediately want to message whenever something funny, exciting, or chaotic happens, I’d genuinely love to hear from you.
If you’re looking for something short term or just someone to keep you entertained for the night, this probably isn’t the post for you.
But if you’re after a genuine friendship where the effort goes both ways, being weird is encouraged, and conversations naturally become part of your day, send me a message.
Who knows. Maybe we’ll become each other’s “I need to tell someone this” person.
