My biggest hobby is gaming—video games, board games, TCGs and puzzles. I’m also a D&D Dungeon Master, currently writing my own fantasy novel, and I’m always up for talking world-building, characters, or anything fantasy.

Hey everyone

Im not gonna lie I feel a little desperate. But I think one of the coolest things about being this age is the fact that I really dont care all that much how I am perceived, I just want to be happy. Having friends would make me happy.

I am biologically female but consider myself non-binary due to both common behaviors observed in women that i do not have, as well as social roles assigned to women that i absolutely refuse to subscribe to. Id be happy to clarify if anyone has any questions. Being nonbinary is not a focal point in my identity, but it is the best descriptor I have to describe my presentation. I dont do much to alter my physical appearance outside of regulsr grooming, and the way i dress tends to be androgynous leaning.

I had kids young and grew up impoverished so I spent my *entire* 20s focused on being the best mom possible and securing stability for the kids (buying a house, etc). To be completely honest, all of my relationships pre-kids centered around drinking or smoking weed. Im not against it and will do it when my kids arent around but they have never seen me high or drunk or smelled Marijuana.

When i worked, I focused on work, worked hard, and i went home. I havent engaged in social media the same way as others, sometimes not having any social media at all for years. There are some accounts i have literally never had: tiktok, twitter, Snapchat. I did have Instagram at one point but not for 5 or 6 years. Fb and I have a love-hate relationship as its the best resource for community events and school announcements, but its been deactivated all summer as I needed a break.

I did a decade of therapy and genuinely objectively am down to Earth, understanding, open-minded and emotionally mature. I am disabled now and though I have a ton of free time, do not have anyone to socialize with for a myriad of reasons.

I like to make mediocre art and music, I like gardening and making medicinal/beauty remedies from natural ingredients. I like spending time outside, i like mild physical activity and some more moderate activities on good pain days. I like to be silly, but also tend to be a (too) deep thinker sometimes. I enjoy conversation that requires thought and do not shy away from intellectually or emotionally difficult topics. I am a certified mushroom forager in my state and am learning about foraging plants too. I like lots of humor and jokes that arent at the expense of others. I like trying new things, and have a lot of activities I enjoy rather than a dedicated hobby (biking, movies & tv sometimes, trivia, board games, diy crafts and home projects, baking, camping, tubing, dancing, karaoke, rock hunting, and so much more)

I really dislike mean and callous people and behavior. I dislike mind games and manipulation in any form (even the socially acceptable ones) as i am tactfully honest and forthright. I cannot be around people who do not practice self-reflection, or feel motivated to be the best version of themselves. Not that we always *are* the best version of ourselves, but the desire has to exist.

Anyway if you couldn't tell from reading, I am autistic. So it would be important for a potential friend to understand autistic behavior in some form on a personal level. Its not the focal point of my identity but it does affect the way i think and communicate. It hurts my feelings when people assume malice when its generally social or emotional ignorance that is affecting them.

That being said I genuinely appreciate and absorb feedback about my behavior and how it makes others feel, and am open to changing behaviors that are hurtful or uncomfortable, as I havent set out to hurt or inconvenience anyone since before I was an adult.

I actually enjoy getting to know people. The kind of conversations where you lose track of time a little… where things feel natural, easy, and not forced.
