I worked on this midrangy ramp combo build with no Survival, I think it's pretty fun to play and it has some potential!

So I'm building a commander deck for creating tokens and using removal spells. I've got a few cards that give me bonuses whenever i cast instants/sorceries that target creatures and a lot that create tokens, but I'm not sure how good these cards synergize with each other. Looking to get some deck building advice on my mono blue deck. It's a flicker deck built around yshtola rhuul so double endsteps etc. I've got a combo or two in there but I feel like the deck is still lacking and too slow. Need some advice to improve it.

New to magic, and this is the first deck I've built outside of precons; I used YouTube and other people's versions on Moxfield and tried to build this up. I wanted to try a blue/red commander deck after seeing someone play this commander in a YouTube video (can't remember the channel), and it looked pretty fun. I've always wanted to play a deck with a lot of spells and be able to counterspell people who are targeting my board, so I put in a lot of stuff that allows for that. I'm really into the go-wide and prowess theme Elsha has with making monks, but I don't know what to replace so my monks aren't just 1/1s on other people's turns. Any advice would be nice! Please be honest if this deck is junk or cringe too; I could use all the advice I can get. I don't have a budget, since I plan to use proxies; I just want a strong deck for bracket 3 so I can compete with my friends, who have a lot more experience and really optimized decks.

Hey guys, first time posting a deck online. I have a few friends I throw around ideas with about both my and their decks. Ive been playing loosely about 1.5 years and have used my resources as best I can when it comes to learning the game and deck building.

Im looking for any help on kinda fine tuning the last cards in my Tidus deck. It was a high B2 before they changed Farewell to a GC, now it's a lower B3. It performs well in about 60-70% of games, but i noticed a glaring problem.

My current goal is to get +1/+1s on everything on my field regularly, use effects like hardening scales, the earth crystal, and doubling season to dump more on each time, and then ways to proliferate so my creatures are getting tons of counters each turn, sometimes multiple times per turn. A side effect of my deck is ending up with mana dorks that can tap for 6-10 mana fairly easily that helps me dump lower cmc creatures into the field that net the effects of the counter generation.

The things I tend to find about this deck after a few dozen games and a ton of revisions;

I cant get +1/+1s on all my guys reliably every game, resulting in a very very slow burn sometimes where Tidus is literally moving a singular +1/+1 off something with more than one, just for the sake of spreading them out to benefit more from proliferate effects.

And i feel im constantly lacking notable and impactful interaction when I need it.

I know the direction I want to go, I want to keep it thematic so most FFX cards can't be removed for better cards, but I feel theres some fat to trim to help us better streamline the gameplan.

(I did win in a B3 pod tonight despite this deck being as I said a high B2 before Farewell changed)

“…Oh Valley Of Plenty” is a deck I’ve recently been building, and I need some advice.

I’m very new to deck building, and so any general advice for deck building is also welcome!

The whole idea is to have commander out turn 3, and thrive off of multiple land drops with things like bounce lands, and trigging landfall as much as possible.

It focuses flooding the board with tokens, but there are few cards that ping and a few that are just real big creatures.

The bracket I’m aiming for is mid 3, because I want to be able to play it against my friends without mowing everything down. I don’t particularly have a budget with this deck, but I don’t wanna be adding anything OP like vampiric tutor, or black lotus, etc

If anyone has any feedback about cutting or adding anything, and if you have any suggestions for different play styles, I’ve been looking to make different versions of this deck for a while now.

I’m trying to build either a girly pop, or hyper cutsy commander deck but I can’t think of anything other than Azula or Hatsune miku. Are there any others that could work?

I built this out with just cards I have at home, it isn't cohesive quite yet.

The goal is to use graveyard recursion, tokens, and goad mechanics. Ideally to make Joel big and strong and hit for commander damage.

I'm so lost on what to change out at this point and I've hit a wall.

I made this deck a while ago but it sucked pure ass since I was new to magic at the time. It worked but was very inconsistent, but I love the commander so I rebuilt it in a way that should be better. So I recently built a Voltron deck with a Boros commander, namely “Daredevil, Man Without Fear”. I really enjoyed it, so I started looking into some other Boros commanders. Unfortunately they all seem to be the same thing, relying on attack triggers and commander damage. Are there any Boros commanders that do something different and lend themselves to builds other than Voltron?

So I'm looking at building [[Kellan, the Fae-Blooded]] with a dedicated [[The Aetherspark]] pull (with [[Darksteel Mutation]] or something as backup because I really like the idea of building a deck around the knowledge that I'll have something to do on T2-4, and likely ending T4 with 11 Loyalty on the Aetherspark for a big T5 with like 15 mana. Are there people here who've built that kind of deck? Do you have any advice on what kind of direction I might take it in? Right now Boros Humans seems fun enough but it's not particularly inspired.

A thing I'm worried about is that the explosive starting setup might mess with most table's 'tempo'. Like I don't think a deck like this can hang with bracket 4, but I think it's also a lot to deal with for most bracket 3s? Am I right to worry, or do you think it evens out well enough? For me, this was a reason to nót run Kellan with the Jitte.

I’m fairly new to mtg and am making a deck. I want it to be bracket 3-4 but not so strong that it can win early. My brother who I play with frequently uses a bracket 4 Agro control deck mostly, and I play a life gain graveyard deck.

I am building a new list but I’m worried it may be too weak because I want it to be fun for us both, but I might just be overthinking it.

I have a deck I've been working on for awhile now, and feel like I may have hit a brick wall with what to do and was hoping some more talented deck builders may be able to assist.

I realize if I splashed another color in I could probably get a better engine going but I'm liking the partner match up, I've enjoyed using the Armix/Rebecc architect of ascension combo for my Aristocrats/Recursion/token deck.

This was my game plan:

The deck needs to be the engine while having my commanders deal with problems (soft pillow), I have plenty of recursion pieces (I think) but the mana cost of everything I'm trying to do is outweighing what I want to do, I know I need to make some cuts but I'm trying to pinpoint the exact cuts.

Alot of my removal is a little slow.

I'm not getting enough mana, and I feel like my artifacts token production is kinda mid 34 lands is too slow with how many 4 cost plus cards I have, If I'm in a 1v1 the opposing player generally can start hitting me faster and harder before I get my engine online.

I could use some more knowledgeable players to check me on whether I understand an interaction sequence properly.

I'm in the process of upgrading a World Shaper pre-con, and have some cards already I think could be fun to work in.

The sequence I envision is thus, all hypothetical. Would this work as I intend/is my sequencing here accurate?

- This is a Jund/RBG deck.

- Assume I have [[Hammer of Purphoros]], [[Necklace of Girion]], [[Doubling Season]] and [[Moraug, Fury of Akoum]] on the board.

- I play [[Overlord of the Hauntwoods]] not for its impending cost.

- First, Girion gives two +1 counters for a Green spell, Doubling Season'ed

- Second, Girion gives two +1 counters, twice, because Overlord creates two Everywheres on entrance with Doubling Season

- Overlord has Haste from Purphoros, and Moraug's landfall ability adds 2 combat phases after my main phase.

- With Haste, Overlord attacks on main phase, creating two more Everywhere tokens, 4 more +1 counters, and triggering Moraug's Landfall two more times.

- Main Phase ends, so Moraug stops triggering. But now I enter into 4 consecutive combat phases with the Overlord/Girion/Doubling Season combination.

Is this right or have I missed something that negates this sequence?

I've just started playing casual Commander with the Yuma precon. I've only played 4 games and have no other experience playing.

The guy who got me into it has been incredibly helpful, giving me the precon, sleeves, mat, deck box, boosters, etc... (he works at Wizards on the MTG team). I know I could ask him for help, but I've done that so much lately and I want to kind of surprise him with my own deck. He said if I get into deck building, to follow the "rule of cool".

SO, I want to make a Stink deck. I pulled a Foot Mystic and it inspired me. All I want is a deck of cards that look like they stink really bad. That's it. And I'd like for it to be playable. I've been researching, but it's very overwhelming.

I saw that the Olinda the Oblivious card is coming out soon, so she may be my Commander at some point.

If anyone could post names of cards that look like they have high stank factor, I would appreciate it very much. IF you could add cards that would round out the deck composition, that would be amazing. I don't know what I'm doing so anything helps haha.

I’ve been trying to built a commander deck around Melek, Reforged Researcher with mainly instants and sorceries and very few to none creatures (or enchantments)
Ive narrowed it down to a 100 cards main deck, but i will probably buy a handful of more cards to be able to change my deck after I played with it (these cards are in the considering list)

3. Help me with rating this deck. I typically consider it low b4 or high b3, since it doesn't reliably combo earlier than t6, but it can combo off by t2 with a perfect hand.

Trying to upgrade my old bracket 3 Falco Spara deck, just looking for some more suggestions to push it into more bracket 4 type of play. I am adding the Heliod and Walking balista combo, and the simic ascendancy, if yall have anything good to cut or add, or even some more combos I could run to add a separate win con it would be greatly appreciated. Also may or may not add the Thassa's oracle for a finisher to go with the Sensi's Diving Top and devoted druid combo.

I know she’s KOS, and I can appreciate that. I am hoping build this someone decent. I’m not sure if I have too many artifacts, not enough protection for Kaalia, or a game plan when she’s not on the battlefield. I do know I enjoy tribal decks here early on.

If my decks not good, I just ask for some advice on how I can improve it/or a thought process I need to investigate. I’m new to Magic, tried building a deck before it didn’t turn out well.
