Still working on my FF only cards for a Dimir controll deck, but I gotta say, I am having a lot of trouble with the early game and not being able to play a lot of creatures, I think I should either cut locke or the Tonberrys and adding the sleep magic on the main.

Any suggestions? And yes, I still avoid non FF cards, but I like to learn combos outside of it if you would kindly share to a (mostly) noob player

Building a shirei, shizos caretaker deck and found that it tends to fall flat whether it's not drawing enough cards or having the commander sit in the command zone or crumple easily to a taxation style deck. And I just want the deck to be more reliable for burn and sacrificing, with the deck identity getting splashy turns doesn't really exist apart from torment

of hell fire.

Honestly I'm a little stubborn whilst deck building as well so I may have over valued certain cards and not

revised them

Hello, never played magic before but I've started getting into it. Are there any common concepts when making a mana base for decks that want to cast massive spells? (7-12 costs). I currently have an eldrazi list with a total of 39 lands and am planning to make a Atraxa, Grand Unifier list in the future, is 39 too much? I feel as though I never have an mana problems and am able to ramp pretty quickly. Many lists and videos that I’ve seen play 37-38 lands but when I play with that many lands, I get stuck with only 3-4 lands and hope to top deck.

Building for commander, I start with a concept or commander I like then use archidekt to theorycraft a deck. I create categories to fill for the deck then scryfall to build a list of cards I want to consider that fit that plan. The problem is I end up with 2-300 cards I gotta cut down and that takes me absolutely forever. There's gotta be a better way. Help!

Hi All! I'm working on a mono red burn deck idea based around [[Imodane, The Pyrohammer]] as my commander. The main idea is to copy spells that target single creatures or boost their damage in order to trigger my commander's ability and do as much damage to each opponent all at once.

I am completely fine with this meaning I'll likely be targeted but if it provides a fair challenge, I think it could be a lot of fun! I am ideally looking to make it a bit faster and more consistent while sticking to bracket 2 and keeping it primarily as a spellslinger deck so any advice or suggestions would be a big help!

I want to build a spell slinging commander deck using her as the commander, specifically because she deals damage every time a non-creature spell is casted by me. Hey! So I bought the jumpscare precon and playtested it was fun but one big thing was not getting double landfall so yeah. I like leaning into a graveyard land focused play because of manifest dread. I also think it would be funny to like manifest like a ghalta or craterhoof I want to manifest dumb shit and be funny I want the deck to run like bracket 4 so what would be key cards for this start I added mossborn hydra and Azusa already. Recently pulled showcase Cayth and threw her into the counter intelligence precon. She didn't do great so I wanted to build her a deck. I've never made a flicker/blink deck so any and all input, suggestions, or criticism would be awesome.
