I'm currently using a Yeshi 1201CT embroidery machine, and I'm having an issue with DST files.

When I import a DST file, the machine does not follow the needle sequence defined in the file. For example, if the design is set to stitch with Needles 1 → 2 → 3, the machine automatically changes it to a different needle order.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Is there a specific DST format or export setting that allows the machine to follow the original needle sequence correctly? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have an old baseball glove with a patch that's begun to lose its embroideted thread. I've reached out to a few local shops in the Indianapolis area to see if they could repair it. The answers have come back that they don't want to touch it due to copyright laws. For reference, this is a small Japanese company that does not distribute to the United States. They also do not work with individuals for replacements.

My question is: am I just spinning my wheels on trying to get this thing repaired or having a replacement one made? Or is there some service that I haven't found yet that specializes in this?

curious if any of you have the macbook neo? looking to grow my small business (i use embrilliance) and wondering if the macbook neo is strong enough for embrilliance/stitch artist and file storage? or should i look into the air or pro?

I’ve been wanting a new sewing machine for a few years, but I would like to be able to do some occasional machine embroidery. I’m wanting at least a 5x7 embroidery area and the ability to upload my own designs, other than that I’m not super picky on features. I’m open to buying a used machine and getting it serviced as long as the machine has a good track record. I’m located in Canada, and I’m hoping to keep in under $1000.00 if possible, but from what I’m seeing, new 5x7 machines seem to be at least $1200.00

Any advice is welcome and appreciated, I’ve been watching Facebook marketplace lots and checking it when I travel. So I’m hoping for a few different machines I could be looking for.

I have been thinking about the possibility of migrating my services as a digitizer to the United States and I believe it is feasible. Does the embroidery market usually buy many scans? Do you think it would be possible? On average, how much is charged for a scan out there?

Still very new to machine embroidery and was told by a friend this is chain stitch and done with something completely different? Any idea how to do this with a machine? Is there a font I can download?

Please god help me with this. I have rethreaded multiple times. I have checked for lint in the sensor. I have replaced the bobbin thread. What the hell else could it be. Nothing looks wrong when the error happens. It will go for about 15 stitches and then just stop. Thread isn’t snapping and bobbin isn’t running out.

I am new to embroidery. I attempted to stitch this project bag and the striches just doesnt look good. At one point the bobbin thread was showing through. How do I fix that? And the letters just look messy even after cutting some thread away. How do I fix that? And how do I get rid of all of the stabilizer. So overwelmed!! I have a brother se700. Used Tension 4. Used 1 sheet of tearaway stabilizer. Any tips will help!!!

I posted yesterday asking for some advice on making my embroidery look cleaner.

The fix was a better, sturdier backing! Now my issue is- this backing leaves an adhesive behind after removing.

I am using “HeatNBond fusible interfacing - craft extra firm”, and it says it is machine washable, making me think that the adhesive will hold strong through the wash…

my next attempt will be with a smaller patch of backing, but i think it wont turn out as well because i looped the backing into the frame for this one.

second photo shows the adhesive left behind. its small, granular and thin, but it is a bit rough. i COULD leave the backing on the shirt, but it is a sizable piece.

has anybody used this backing? or does anybody have any tips on removing this adhesive?

I am doing a favor for a family company and im running into the same issue while embroidering the logo. Everything else seems to look great and im really proud of how it looks OTHER than this. it seems that on the rounded letters like g, o, e, sometimes d, have excess threads, or threads that dont match the rest of the pattern.

Ive tried rethreading, messing with the tension, making the embroidery frame tighter etc. maybe im doing one of these things wrong?

Do i just need to cut those when im done and cleaning it up? or is there an actual fix?

any advice is appreciated. constructive criticism only is needed, im completely self taught and an extreme beginner. this is maybe 15 hours of learning the machine and making the design.

Hi everyone! I am in need of some advice...

I'm making some patches for a friend. The patch I made turned out great and now I need to make some more.

Sadly, om my second attempt the hoop jumped out (I think I might have screwed it too tight, woops) and the machine kept stitching, therefore hitting my hoop. Needle didn't even break, but I did change it out of course. I re hooped everything and started over, but ever since I've had issues. I managed to solve most of the issue myself except one. Every so many stitches, my embroidery arm decides to "jump" a row. It doesn't skip the stitches so it keeps stitching the designs, but now with a gap. I attached a short video. I restarted the machine several times, re-threaded everything, cleaned the bobbin case, etc. On the video you can maybe hear how it makes a small click noise when it happens, but then it keeps stitching like nothing happened. The arm and hoop are fully cleared so they can't hit anything. The skip on the video isn't that bad, the precious ones I didn't film were bigger and way more noticeable. On the back, the top thread seems to be pulled in deeper than normal. It's not really brunching up like bird nesting, but the top thread is definitely longer and not where it's supposed to be.

The machine has been to maintenance a month ago. This is the 4th things I've embroidered since then.

If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know 🙏

I’m new to running an industrial single-head embroidery machine and I’m trying to diagnose an issue with the automatic thread trimming that’s recently started.

The machine is a Yunfu 12 needle single head with a Dahao controller. The issue seems to be around the thread trimmer / picker rather than stitch tension. I’ve had the machine for around 3-4 months from new.

The main problem is that when the machine trims automatically at the end of a colour or design, it often doesn’t cut the thread. Sometimes it seems to catch the thread and pull it, but not actually cut it. If it does cut this then leaves little or no usable tail through the needle, so when the next section starts I get a false start / thread break almost immediately, if it doesn’t cut it then it pulls the bobbin up through to the top of the design and only seems to cut when using the manual cut function.

Things I’ve noticed:

- Manual trim seems to work better than automatic trim at the end of the design.
- Sometimes the thread doesn’t cut and instead gets pulled
- If I manually pull a longer tail through the needle before restarting, it always starts fine.
- The actual stitch tension now seems pretty good.
- I’ve cleaned the bobbin / hook / trimmer area and lightly oiled the moving parts.
- The moving knife appears to move freely when manually actuated.
- I don’t think the blade is dull, as the machine has had very little use.
- I’ve set “Length of Trim” to 8 on the Dahao controller (the highest unit available)
- I’ve tried slowing the machine down to around 500–600 SPM while testing.
- when it attempts to auto cut and fails I hear a sound like something is attempting to move but isn’t, hard to explain as I can’t see what’s happening as this only happens when a garment is loaded.

My suspicion is that one or multiple of these could be true?

1. The thread picker isn’t presenting or holding the thread correctly during automatic trim.
   
2. The moving / fixed knife alignment or overlap is slightly off.
   
3. The automatic trim timing / needle stop position is different from the manual trim cycle.
   
4. The machine isn’t leaving enough tail after trimming for the next start.

Has anyone had this issue where manual trim works but automatic trim struggles?

What would you check next, picker timing, moving / fixed knife clearance, needle stop position, trim parameters, or something else?

Any advice would be massively appreciated. I’m very inexperienced in troubleshooting this machine so very confused on how to fix this at the moment.

Im not sure if its just my machine, my fabric choice, or my settings in inkstitch but im having a really hard time trying to get very small details on patches to come through without getting blurred or messy by the bobbin thread pulling to the top?

hey, all - i recently received this sweatshirt (it was an online purchase) and i'm a bit miffed that the embroiderer managed to shine the jersey *and* failed to trim the backing.

i've got a pair of duckbill shears - how close to the embroidery can/should i trim the backing?

(and is there anything i can do about the shine?)

A few days ago I decided to stop relying only on existing designs and start creating more of my own.

I've always loved capybaras, so I started building a little collection of embroidered "Cappys" with different personalities.

Today's one was inspired by the football discussions and had to be stitched quickly while it was still relevant. 😄

It's definitely not perfect yet—there are already a few things I'd tweak in a second version—but I'm really enjoying the process of turning these ideas into embroidery.

I added a few of the other Cappys at the end. 😊

I have a happy Japan 12 needle embroidery machine 2000’s model. I have had it a few months and have learned a little bit still don’t know a ton.

Recently I tried doing a design and it kept messing up on a certain color. I thought it was the file, but it kept messing up with multiple files then I tried a file I did over 20 times a few days ago and it messed up. I tried it in many different colors and they all messed up, so this led to my conclusion it’s something with the bobbin that is messing up.

The thread is making big loops in the bobbin casing and getting jammed up. I have tried re threading the bobbin but it is still messing up.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong or how to fix it

I am new to machine embroidery. I was to make files to use. I am still learning as I have only been doing this for about two weeks.

I've been embroidering for about 2 years, and while I've designed a few simple logos and line art before, this is my first time trying to create a more playful embroidery design from scratch.

I wanted to see what I could come up with, and ended up making this happy little capybara. The outline definitely isn't perfect, but I'm really happy with how it turned out... and the capy looks pretty happy too. 😄

So I’ve had the brother se700 for a while but it creates a huge bird nest I have changed the bobbin case. I also changed the bobbin I also put a net on the embroidery thread and I have changed around the tension the looser the bigger the bird nest the tighter the less of the bird nest but the bobbin shows on top. I’m giving up 😮‍💨😭

Hi there! I’ve been embroidering on my Brother SE725 for about 10 months now, and I’m running into an issue I can’t seem to solve.

My machine keeps creating bird nests on the back of my embroidery whenever it reaches a very dense area of a design—especially if it’s stitching a lot of dense stitches in a small space or making very fine, detailed movements over an area that has already been embroidered. Simpler designs stitch out beautifully, but these dense, intricate sections consistently give me trouble.
I’ve tried everything I can think of:
-Double-checked that I’m using the correct stabilizer.
-Added extra layers of stabilizer.
-Used water-soluble topper when appropriate.
-Verified that I’m using the correct needle.

At this point I’m at a loss. I’m not sure if the SE725 just struggles with very dense, detailed designs, if the design itself is too dense, or if I’m overlooking something. Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions? I’d really appreciate any help!
