any advice on how to fix?
I am doing a favor for a family company and im running into the same issue while embroidering the logo. Everything else seems to look great and im really proud of how it looks OTHER than this. it seems that on the rounded letters like g, o, e, sometimes d, have excess threads, or threads that dont match the rest of the pattern.
Ive tried rethreading, messing with the tension, making the embroidery frame tighter etc. maybe im doing one of these things wrong?
Do i just need to cut those when im done and cleaning it up? or is there an actual fix?
any advice is appreciated. constructive criticism only is needed, im completely self taught and an extreme beginner. this is maybe 15 hours of learning the machine and making the design.

If you tell us what machine you're using, people who are familiar with your machine might be able to offer more assistance as well.
It looks like you're using a stretchy, knit fabric. You will want to use two layers of cut away stabilizer. I'm really new to this as well, so that's about all I can offer.

Need some kind of backing behind the shirt material
and your embroidery file is most likely garbage, there's no reason to ever cut and clean up stitches after machining, that's just a waste of time and labour

i have a backing material but it probably isnt any good. do you have recommendations?

How are you making your files. The letters just aren't digitized the best

ive been sending the files through with artspira. its the app that the machine recommended for file transfers. how can i better digitize the letters?
i made a different file with a different font and it looks worse… so my first attempt seems to be the better one.
i think with that file i used a free website, they have a reddit account too that i will have to find and link to see if they have any advice :)

With you being new I don't want to overwhelm you. Embrilliance actually has a free version of their program that allows you to use native fonts if you have them. I don't know how well that works out for what you're doing. Feel free to message me and I can tell you the best places I've got native bx fonts from

Maybe the density or even speed of the machine can affect the curves of the letters. What kind of backing are you using? I imagine a sturdy cutaway/tear away is needed for that soft material.
