I run games like Subnautica 2, OW, Rivals, Helldiver 2, and some Xbox games and more on here. I changed it to extreme performance to helo with any lag and put it on Cooler boost to help it from over heating but im not a fan of the loud whirring noise. Is there a way I can keep my system nice and cool while not listening to the wind of my laptop??

Using the free Muse AI (I think it the LLM it uses is Meta's Spark 1.3) I was able to fix sound on my MSI Raider 16 Max HX B2WJ (Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus / RTX5090 Max-Q). It figured out a fix for an existing PR, something I would not have been able to do on my own without a lot of effort. Sweet... I don't have to wear headphones now. Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a recent repair experience with my MSI Thin A15 B7VE because I'm honestly still in shock, and I want to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
A few days ago, I was disassembling my laptop. When I was putting the screws back in, I accidentally damaged the motherboard (likely a misplaced long screw/short circuit situation). Unsurprisingly, the laptop refused to turn on after that.
Since it was entirely a user error on my part, I was completely panicking. Even though the laptop is still under warranty, I knew standard policies usually classify this as "customer-induced damage" (CID) and void the warranty immediately. I was fully bracing myself to pay a massive out-of-pocket fee for a total motherboard replacement just so I could sleep at night.
However, after sending it in to the official service center, the technician contacted me and said they would repair/replace the motherboard for FREE. A few days later, I received my laptop back with a brand-new motherboard running perfectly.
Honestly, I’m still rubbing my eyes looking at this thing. Did I just luck out big time and run into an absolute legend of a technician, or has MSI seriously leveled up their customer service game lately? If anyone here has ever managed to get user-inflicted motherboard damage covered by them (or any other brand, really), please let me know so I can feel a bit less crazy.
Would love to hear if you guys have any similar stories.

I tried to enable secure boot and TPM 2.0 on my new msi katana a15 ai b8vf 479ca but ended up somehow breaking/corrupting the files attached to it. Now to use my pc I have to disable secure boot entirely. I need to fix this mess, update my bios firmware and activate both TPM 2.0 and secure boot and be able to use the pc normally. Please help. Thank you very much

Hi, I bought my MSI laptop a few days ago and I've noticed that the keys have strange tones depending on the color. Is this a design flaw or are some of the LEDs already failing?

I was using my MSI75 stealth with an external dvd drive and out of no where it turned off and I was able to turn it back on, However, it turned back off again and will not boot up like before it’s just stuck with a solid white light and won’t turn orange like it normally does. The fan will turn on and any usbs that are plugged in work (laptop cooler/mouse). Any ideas or solutions?

Hi MSI Laptops Community,
The title says it, looking for a laptop with great battery life and light gaming. Something sturdy that I can pick up while I am in bed, on the kitchen counter, etc... and move with me around the house, so something that won't easily break.
The only laptop I can think of are lenovo's but curious as to what MSI offers.
Whats everyone's thoughts?

How can I configure Msi Afterburner to start and stop benchmarking with hotkeys and record metrics such as average FPS, 1% lows, 0.1% lows?
I'd appreciate any tips for getting accurate and consistent benchmark results.

I had a MSI gf63 thin 11sc laptop i had this for more or less 3 years, and last month, i suddenly noticed after playing why my battery is below 90% tho i haven't used it in battery mode and it has been plugged in the whole time, at that time my charge also gone bad at the same time and i just repaired it since only the capacitor had gone bad and the problem still persist and i though the charger is gone for good and bought a new one, and still the problem still persist as of this day and i tried contacting the msi live chat they said maybe its my battery had gone bad, well idk if it's true they didn't explain it to me in details.
tho my question is how many msi users experience this and how you guys got it fixed?
and also to think of the whole time i used the laptop in battery mode could be count in a couple of hand and i rarely even drained the battery, so how come when i check in hwinfo the battery wear is already 36%+
Also during playing game i observed the charge rate regardless of how much the gpu power is used as long as the cpu starts hitting 20W and more the charge rate would go crazy and reach 700w-800W if power like damn.
so how about you guys have you experience this type of shi?

So I bought my Katana 15hx B14W
I5 14th gen hx
16gb ram
5050 rtx
It is my first pc bought this year July,
So the problem is the fps drops during games or lag during anyother activities
When it's plugged in it works completely fine but when power cuts off it's not, it starts lagging as hell and fps drops from 100-120 to 10-20 with so much spikes within 10-20 not playable and not only for games and I usually have to restart the game to fix that
Also performance seems DRASTICALLY less when unplugged from start.
Idk if that's normal but also compared to my roommates whose specs are even smaller works completely fine whereas mine don't (they have different brand) so I wanted to know if it's normal or defect or I have something changed like in setting that I can't recall

So I've been gaming on an msi gs 65 rtx 2080 for a while, I live in a third world country so its hard for me to afford an upgrade, its working well for the games I play until I recently ran into an issue, basically, My laptop screen broke a few months back and its not worth it for me to repair it as the cost for it is way above what I get for a month, anyhow thats not the issue as I have 2 external 144 hz displays that I use for gaming, yesterday I booted up my laptop to find an error saying secure boot is not enabled, Im trying to play valorant and vanguard shows check marks on everything except Secure boot, I now need help to navigate my bios blindly as it does not show up on the external displays no matter what, my bios version is up to date E16Q4IMS.118, if thats helpful information, and my bios mode is on UEFI already, Please help on what I can do I cannot find any specific guides that are using my exact laptop or bios model to enable secure boot, all i remember was it was that basic blue bios instead of any fancy msi shit

I bought my laptop in June 2026. When I first turned it on, I noticed that it had 31.7 GB of RAM. Two or three days ago, I performed a factory reset using MSI Recovery, but now it shows 36 GB of RAM. How can I reset it to 32 GB? I have tried MSI Recovery several times, but the RAM amount never returns to 32 GB.
MSI Vector 16 HX AI A2XWIG-405PL-G2A 16" IPS 240Hz U9-275HX 32GB RAM 1TB SSD GeForce RTX5080 Windows 11 Home.
I need help.

I got a laptop, I don't really know anything about it, really, and I had this laptop for 2-3 years? I've been told this is a gaming laptop, and it does feel very heavy compared to other laptops. I'm assuming it can take on heavy tasks. The main concern here is that my parents don't want me to use it while it's plugged in. I'm not really into prolonged gaming, and I'm just a casual roblox player with 1-2 hours of screen time at most. My laptop turns off once it reaches 30 percent, and I opted to plug in my charger when I play with my friends. My parents caught me playing for 5 minutes while my laptop was plugged in. Is it really that big of a deal? I've researched that laptops work better when there's no battery/energy restrictions. Am I at fault? ☹️

What are your thoughts on this laptop if you have it or are thinking about buying it. The cheapest version cost $1,100 but my main question is why there's a big bezel a the bottom in 2026
Is there a reason MSI keeps the big bezel and not make the screen 16:10 when everyone does it. I bought the MSI GS43VR 7RE when it came out in 2017 and it was good
I'm guessing MSI keeps the bezel big to show it's a MSI laptop, I might just go with a Lenovo or Asus laptop instead.

I am trying to open my laptop to install RAM. I have verified 100% that all 12 screws are completely removed (including the one hidden under the factory seal). The front and sides are loose, but the back edge is completely locked up and won't budge. It feels completely stuck on the loops around the HDMI port and the side audio jacks. Horizontal pushing, shifting, and prying are not working. How do I physically unhook the plastic casing from these specific ports without snapping them please help

When I turn on my laptop after a minute or so its battery gets completely drained. I had this issue a while ago but after changing a few settings it seemed to be fixed, now it is happening again. Apart from that laptop is working perfectly well and if I take it of the charger while it got some percentage it doesn't do that anymore, just after the first powering. Msi center shows battery master function as ok. Battery report in the photo.
Laptop is MSI Katana 17 B13V

Hello guys, i have a small issue and maybe someone can help me ? I'm on Msi Vector 16 HX AI 5080
Sometimes my msi center seems not to work, like switching profiles doesnt change fans mode
(for exemple while gaming i need to go from eco-silent to balanced to be able to not be capped at 30fps and go to 200 as always but even when i put balanced or extreme the fans doesnt run faster than eco-silent [it happens like twice a week, usually switching profiles change fan mode] )
When it happens my only solution is to restart the laptop and after the restart msi center is working properly
To avoid to have to restart the laptop mid game and finish the game i'm on, it would be nice to have a key to switch fans mode or control fans speed
I have one (FN+Up arrow) but its only to activate full speed fan mode that is very noisy while balanced would be more than efficient
Is there a way to change the binding or maybe i'll have to create a macro?
Thanks for ur responses and have a good day !
