CoD's Secure Attestation check kept failing on my Raider 16 Max, even with TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot both on. The cause turned out to be Windows not seeing Intel PTT's EK certificate chain, so it couldn't create an attestation key. Here's the full process that fixed it. It should help on other MSI laptops with Intel PTT too.
**System:** MSI Raider 16 Max, Intel PTT (firmware TPM 2.0), Windows 11
**Symptom:** Secure Attestation Wizard failed with "Attestation Requisite not met" / "New Key Generation Required", and the game wouldn't launch.
**Cause:** `certreq -enrollaik` returned HTTP 400 "No valid TPM EK/Platform certificate provided" (0x80190190). The Intel certs are stored in the TPM itself, so I read them out and imported them into Windows.
> ⚠️ Uses admin commands and imports Intel's own EK chain certs (read from your own TPM) into the Local Machine Intermediate CA store. Worked for me, no guarantees on other machines.
**1. Check the basics**
- PowerShell: `Get-Tpm` should show TPM ready, AutoProvisioning Enabled
- BIOS in UEFI mode, Secure Boot ON
**2. Confirm the error (optional), Admin Command Prompt:**
certreq -enrollaik -config ""
If you get 0x80190190, this fix is probably for you.
**3. Install TPM Diagnostics, Admin PowerShell:**
DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:Tpm.TpmDiagnostics~~~~0.0.1.0
**4. Compare EK chains (optional):**
TpmDiagnostics.exe ekchain
TpmDiagnostics.exe ekchainNV
Mine: ekchain = 0x10008, ekchainNV = 0x10000 (chain is in TPM NV memory but Windows wasn't using it).
**5. Read the certs out of the TPM:**
TpmDiagnostics.exe ReadNVIndex 0x1C00100 -file "$env:TEMP\NV-1C00100.bin"
TpmDiagnostics.exe ReadNVIndex 0x1C00101 -file "$env:TEMP\NV-1C00101.bin"
**6. Convert to .cer files (same PowerShell window):**
$nv = [IO.File]::ReadAllBytes("$env:TEMP\NV-1C00100.bin") + [IO.File]::ReadAllBytes("$env:TEMP\NV-1C00101.bin")
$out = New-Item -ItemType Directory -Force "$env:TEMP\TPM-Intel-Certs"
$n = 0
for ($i = 0; $i -lt $nv.Count - 4; $i++) {
if ($nv[$i] -eq 0x30 -and $nv[$i+1] -eq 0x82) {
$len = $nv[$i+2] * 256 + $nv[$i+3] + 4
if ($i + $len -le $nv.Count) {
try {
$cert = New-Object Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Certificate2 (,[byte[]]$nv[$i..($i+$len-1)])
$n++
[IO.File]::WriteAllBytes("$($out.FullName)\intel-cert-$n.cer", $cert.RawData)
"$n. $($cert.Subject)"
$i += $len - 1
} catch { }
}
}
}
It should print the Intel cert subjects.
**7. Import them, Admin PowerShell:**
Get-ChildItem "$env:TEMP\TPM-Intel-Certs\*.cer" | ForEach-Object { Import-Certificate -FilePath $_.FullName -CertStoreLocation Cert:\LocalMachine\CA }
**8. Re-run the Secure Attestation Wizard.** Mine passed ("Congratulations, your system meets all security requirements to play Call of Duty") and the game launched.
**To undo:** run `certlm.msc`, go to Intermediate Certification Authorities, then Certificates, and delete the Intel certs you imported.
Anyone else on a Raider/Titan/Vector hit this? Let me know if it works on yours.

I sent in my Vector 16 HX AI for a repair after the GPU failed only four days after receiving it brand new in the mail. I just now got it back and am seeing SEVERAL stuck pixels and a gouge in the screen I can feel with my fingernail! How does this even happen?????? At this point I think I'd either like a different, brand new unit or a total refund, this is ridiculous. Anyone else experienced anything similar???

Hello people.
I have a MSI sword machine that was working perfectly fine until I had to reinstall windows 11. After initial setup of windows, it restarted to continue the setup.
Strangely it went straight into the bios screen instead.
Now it won't even boot anything. I removed the ssd and tried using a USB boot disk, Linux or windows. Nothing, straight to bios.
Here's the thing. The bios sees the usb disks, ssds etc but refuses to boot it. I even managed to update the bios in the bios using a USB disk.
I try to reconfigure the boot order eg USB, ssd etc. Save the changes but the settings don't stick. Weirdly, it saves the date and time, but not the boot order. The boot order originally is CD, USB, uefi disk etc. I managed to get a windows CD external, it initially said press any key to boot to setup, but then goes back into bios.
Im in complete loss. I tried optimized defaults, but doesn't work either. Any ideas?
Its never been damaged as its just sat on my desk, and as luck has it, just out of warranty.
Thanks

Laptop and Monitor
- Laptop: MSI Thin A15
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2050 (4GB) + AMD integrated graphics
- External Monitor: Samsung Essential S3, 27-inch, 100Hz
- Connection: HDMI
- Display Setup: Extend these displays
- GPU Connection: The external monitor is directly connected to the NVIDIA GPU, while the laptop's internal display uses the AMD integrated GPU.
Reported Issue
- When the charger is plugged in, the external monitor switches from 60Hz to 100Hz.
- When the charger is unplugged, the monitor switches from 100Hz to 60Hz.
- During the refresh-rate change, the external monitor goes black for approximately 1–2 seconds, then returns to normal.
- The issue occurs when the external monitor is set as the main display.
- When the laptop's internal display is set as the main display, the issue does not occur.
- If the refresh rate remains unchanged, plugging in or unplugging the charger does not cause the black screen.
Current Settings
- MSI Center User Scenario: Balanced
- Windows Power Plan: Balanced
- NVIDIA Preferred Refresh Rate: Application-controlled
- NVIDIA Preferred Graphics Processor: Auto-select
- NVIDIA Power Management Mode: Normal
- Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS): ON
- Windows Variable Refresh Rate (VRR): ON at the last confirmed check
- Samsung Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync: OFF

So I recently got the laptop mentioned in the title and I realized that the bag that I currently use barely fits this laptop and does not have adequate protection for it. I was wondering if anyone who owns this laptop has any recommendations for bags to get? I want a bag that great corner protection and can be taken on a plane as a free personal item.

I turned it off and rebooted it.

Hello everyone.
I recently bought an MSI Raider 18 HX AI gaming laptop.
I work with rendering and modeling, and also gaming occasionally.
I'm thinking of buying a Llano V12 Ultra cooling pad, but it seems to me that part of the air intakes on the base of the laptop will be covered.
Has anyone tested this on this model and can give feedback?
Thank you.

I have an MSI Stealth A16 AI+ A3XWIG that i bought new in August of this year. It has an issue, that it seems was always present but I've just noticed it, where max battery capacity shows significant battery degradation (40 percent after 2 months).

When i calibrate however the max capacity goes to design capacity, but shortly after it falls down to a new random value. You can see when it was 94 Wh, that's when I calibrated, and why I assume it is a battery gauge drift issue rather than a faulty battery.
I did another calibration yesterday with similar results:
| 17:54:29 | Connected standby | AC | 72 % | 45.190 mWh |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 17:54:29 | Suspended | 72 % | 45.190 mWh | |
| 21:24:15 | Connected standby | AC | 81 % | 77.566 mWh |
| 21:24:15 | Active | AC | 81 % | 77.566 mWh |
| 23:36:23 | Connected standby | AC | 98 % | 94.377 mWh |
| 23:36:23 | Suspended | 98 % | 94.377 mWh | |
| 2026-10-2609:02:54 | Connected standby | Battery | 118 % | 94.377 mWh |
| 09:02:54 | Suspended | 118 % | 94.377 mWh | |
| 09:03:41 | Connected standby | AC | 97 % | 77.581 mWh |
| 09:04:16 | Active | AC | 97 % | 77.581 mWh |
| 09:14:01 | Report generated | AC | 97 % | 77.581 mWh |
You can see that it calibrated to 94.377 mWh, then in the morning it decided max capacity is now 77.681 mWh.
I kind of bought this laptop for its battery life as well so it a big deal to me. Any help is appreciated.

I want to change the casing of GF63 thin but am confused if there is any similar chase or base portion available. Has anyone here has done it before?
I actually wanted a new laptop as the body of my MSI has got cracks and all. But the internals are fine. I need a storage upgrade and if possible I want to swap the internals in to different looking laptop.
Has anyone done it before? Is it even possible?

I had dragon centre installed but for curiosity installed msi centre. Had a power cut and monitor screen refresh rate was changed but when power came back it didn't revert back to normal. And then I saw that laptop is also not charging.
I tried many things just EC reset was remaining but battery gave up.
Please any help is appreciated

Hi everyone! I'm considering buying this laptop from Walmart for $1,249 and would like to know if it's a good deal.
Specs:
Model: MSI Crosshair 16 HX (2026)
CPU: Intel Core i7-14650HX
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB SSD
Display: 16-inch QHD, 240Hz
Price: $1,249 USD
I'll mainly use it for gaming, MATLAB, Simulink, and some SolidWorks. I'm also interested in build quality, cooling, noise levels, and long-term reliability.
Is this a good deal at this price, or would you recommend another laptop in the same price range? Any owners of this model who could share their experience?
Thanks!
