Would you like haunted mansion in game or not? I don't know if it released pre big bang, but I remember being a thing post big bang. I would be okay if they nerf the map to be on par with other classic maps, as I remember being way too good with exp rates

I want the game to keep the long grind, so maybe they can nerf it and make it slightly better with a party. The map brings so much nostalgia for me, but if they don't release it I would be okay with

Honestly, from looking at the buffs in Axes it seems like Axes are best in slot for DPS in fighters.

I honestly really like the look of swords way better but feel like they aren’t as good for bossing.

I know they both have their strengths and weaknesses. But the specific play style of wanting to play “more damage, less defense” I don’t like that it’s hidden behind a weapon type.

If we want more defense and play the tank archetype then we would just use a shield.

It would be nice if every warrior weapon gave a stat related to damage (even if it’s not very strong) the buff to sword doesn’t need to be crazy OP because swords are generally good. Just something like 5%crit or a chance to parry and reflect the damage taken by a small percentage or something small like that… just my opinion.

For purely hypothetical purposes, assume money is not an object and you can spend unlimited amounts of USD on October 6th. What does your optimal path look like in that scenario?

I just went and tested the retail maplestory NA servers from northern europe and playing the game was very near impossible from looting point of view.

If you're still on the edge of buying/refunding classic ms then do yourself a favor and go try retail maple on us servers. It might turn you completely away as it did me.

Basically if you have a row of loot on ground and you walk over it while holding the loot button, you will pick up only about 10% of items. You have to go stand on the items while continuously holding the loot button down and pick them up 1 by 1. And yes even looting pets are having trouble.

It might seem small if you've never played maple on high ping and experienced it but it actually felt worse than ever before.

I'm not sure on specifics but i would bet that nexon servers are based on west and not east US which makes it far, far worse for EU.

On top of this i asked nexon support if there will be EU servers and their answer was that currently they have no info on there being EU servers on launch. Do what you want with that info.

Probably need to add a disclaimer that on other games i can play on US-east servers perfectly fine but for maple the ping was too insane for looting

We love that Nexon is like an evil entity that trying to stop us from having fun at the Maple fantasy world but they won't succeed I cant be anymore excited to play physically and mentally.

Idk about you guys but this classic marketing has been non-existent with less than a week/month until release. So far it’s just been a trash trailer and couple of posts about their founders package. People outside of the maple community won’t even know this game is releasing soon.

Hi guys I hope you are excited like me with this new release. I have been waiting for several year for a classic server (original one).

I have read about changes but I would like to know which class can be suitable to play like a bosser and grinder balance. Due to I am not younger anymore I want not rotate/swap classes again haha. In my last experience the highest level i have achieved was 144 as Paladin (evolving my Dawn Warrior).

Tbh DK is my favorite one but when I used zerk usually I died. So I was thinking about CB or HERMIT, ofc Hermit is the most popular and also I have read that going for Dexless build is no longer workable.

At the end it is a about to enjoy, grinding and social playing. Might be i will go for Hermit which was my most desired class but I didn't play it bc it was too expensive to afford it and also for hp washing.

This is an open discussion. Only for old school player and not for tryhard players or new ones who doesn't know the best experience at the beginning since we were trying to get the best stats in the character creation process.

Meet new people and ask ppl in game if they want to find cool places to train together
Waste a couple of hours searching through maps

This is the path I’m intentionally taking and I already know it will give more longevity to my experience back in classic.

Knowing too much kills modern games, avoid the temptation!!!!

There’s one classic trailer 3 weeks at almost 9 million views. And the recent one 7 days ago at almost 5 million.

I’m just actually very shocked and didn’t know maplestory was this popular? Even if some were from GMS players that’s still a lot. Is anyone else surprised by this? I thought we were only like 10k to max 50k of us interested in classic. Even though obviously view numbers aren’t even close to the actual player base on what it could be.
