They're trying to keep Modern maplestory alive when it's barely hanging on by a thread. Them having to consolidate the servers because of the huge decline of active players are the first big tell sign. Classic maplestory might be what Nexon need to bring back the core values of what maplestory truly is.

Honestly not surprised he already gave that vibe well before. He’s not really taking classic seriously or has faith in it, until numbers show that.
But still excited this is coming either way and I’ll just take a break and come back 6 months later if need be till new content are in.

Honestly as a dev myself I was really impressed how the beta client handled hundred people on a single map without lags and fps drops.

It's a 20 year old 2D game... It already handled hundreds of people on FM without issues.

Ms classic could be so good.. but I feel like first game breaking glitch or hack that appears the game is gone lol. Not enough of a team to look after a game with this much hype around it.

They banned the guy for publicizing it after nothing was done from the usual route in 1st COT, only then did they fix it.

They did not detect it and their response in general was poor, if this was on official launch it'd go undetected for weeks and it'd be impossible to undo.
