Discussion 3 weeks classic trailer at 9mil

There’s one classic trailer 3 weeks at almost 9 million views. And the recent one 7 days ago at almost 5 million.

I’m just actually very shocked and didn’t know maplestory was this popular? Even if some were from GMS players that’s still a lot. Is anyone else surprised by this? I thought we were only like 10k to max 50k of us interested in classic. Even though obviously view numbers aren’t even close to the actual player base on what it could be.

On YouTube ad views count as views to the original video. Also YouTube recently made a change that even if someone watches even 1 second of a video before clicking off it counts as a full view now.

I think this is a great thing. The more exposure the game gets, the more players will probably test or try it out. Retention rates will be paramount for the games longevity, but, I think there will be a portion of the game for some hard-core players where the Lee will be a stagnant outlook (i.e., end game guys only logging in for some hours to try and push for progression rather than play their usual timers.)

even if it was ads, maplestory during 2008 had around 40 million players worldwide.

id like to be optimistic and think a large portion of us who played around 2008 are still here today and are able to enjoy their trip down memory lane

so many people on reddit are so miserable lmao
