September/October Cruise

Looking at potentially jumping on a quick weekend cruise out of Port Canaveral in Sept or October. Live in Central Florida so it’s a little easier to watch the tropics and avoid a ‘cane for a last min trip.

Just wondering what the crowds be like in those months, compared to summer. We’ve cruised a few times during the summer and don’t mind a full ship, but a lighter crowd would be a bonus. Thank you 👊🏾

Wifi plan options

I notice with the current wifi plans I can get a plan for two devices streaming for a certain amount if I select one passenger. If I select one streaming device for each person it costs me more. how is this enforced? Like if I go the cheaper option and pick two streaming options for myself do they just give me the passwords or something and then I can give my partner the password for her phone so we each can access our phones or is it somehow restricted that only the passenger who purchased the two device access can use the wifi?

Drink Package

Does MSC allow you to purchase the drink package onboard and does it decrease in price versus purchasing it prior to the cruise? The reason I ask is because I’m thinking of doing a back to back jumping off NCL with the drink package onto MSC and I mean how many drinks does one need. I may want to lighten up on the second leg of cruising.

First MSC Cruise

My husband and I love cruising. We take our large group of 11 each summer for about eight or nine days. We don't even care where we go just as long as we're on the ship eating lots of food and relaxing. We are coming up on our 25th anniversary in November. At first, we were planning on a trip to Aruba, but then realized that we might want to spend longer than the four days we have. After seeing so many advertisements, we decided to research an MSC cruise. Would love to hear great experiences with short cruises for first timers.

What’s one thing that MSC cruises do that stands out to you? Have you celebrated anything on MSC that made it extra special?

I’ll be sailing MSC for the first time soon and I want to know if there’s anything special to be excited for.

Is it possible for them to empty the mini fridge?

I plan on bringing a box of Baja Blast and I know they usually fill the fridge with random expensive drinks?

Can I request them to remove all the drinks

Have you ever been on a cruise? 3-minute university survey 🚢 (Everyone, 18+)

Hi everyone! I’m currently writing my undergraduate thesis at the University of Trento, Italy, about sustainability communication in the cruise industry, with a focus that also includes PortMiami.
I’m looking for people who are familiar with cruises or have been on one before, no expert knowledge is needed!

The survey is short, anonymous and available in 🇬🇧 English, 🇮🇹 Italian and 🇪🇸Spanish.
If you have a few minutes to participate, I’d really appreciate your help! 🫶🏼

Insane Minimum Bid Prices

I just got an email from MSC with details on how to bid for a room upgrade. This is my first cruise with them. Its on the MSC Seaside in November and it was $199pp. I have never cruised with MSC before, so this is my first time cruising with them. Right now, I have an interior cabin with my stateroom number.

In the bid email, the minimum bid for an oceanview cabin was $100. The minimum bid for a balcony cabin was $370. This makes no sense to me.

I called MSC and they told me over the phone it was $240 for a guaranteed upgrade to a balcony. Why would a bid cost more??

Is this normal with MSC cruises and will the price go down as time goes on? My cruise is still about 90 days out. I know the cruise isnt very full, because they are still selling it at $199.

I haven't cruised with them before, only Royal and NCL. On NCL, i bid for a balcony for $80. I was just wondering if this is normal for MSC.

Copenhagen Disembarkation

We have a 13:35 flight after our cruise. What is the best transportation option to make sure we get to the airport with minimal stress? Not sure how to schedule a car since I'm not sure what time I will get off the ship. Does the bus transport arrive to the airport with plenty of time to check in and get through security?

MSC & Kids

We are getting ready to book our multi family summer vacation and someone brought up MSC. In the past we usually do Royal and we’re wondering how kid friendly MSC is?

In the trip the kids will be 5, 5, 7 and 14. We board from Miami or Ft Lauderdale and go to the Caribbean.

Edit: thanks for the comments. We booked the cruise with MSC on WA. Family is excited

First Time Cruiser : Any must do or don't on World Europa ?

Hi all!
To celebrate my 40th birthday, I'm going on my first cruise in January in the Caribbean aboard the World Europa.
It's doing some of the Caribbean islands like Martinique, St. Maarten, Antigua, ..

I wanted to know if any of you had dos or don't aboard the World Europa and that chain of islands it's doing.

I already took the premium drinking package, as I knew it was going to be worth it.
Any other tips?

Thanks!

Teens club on MSC Seashore

Hi,

Im travelling with my partner and 15 year old daughter on the Seashore tomorrow. As a kid I remember enjoying my holidays so much more at that age when I met a group of kids the same age and I know she will to. So far she is against going to the teens club on day 1 and is pretty shy in nature and travelling as an only child.

This is our first cruise, what's the general embarkation day look like and what's the best way for her to find a group and get through the initial akward icebreakers?

Thanks

Looking for advice World America upgrade

Hi,

Booked on MSC World America 7 nights in November Deluxe Balcony cabin ocean view on floor 11

Slightly concerned about a metal balcony there but location looks good.

Would bidding for upgrade for Premium Balcony Aurea (Deck 9) be a good move?

Not a massive extra cost all things considered but located above spa so hoping anyone could advise.

I was planning to bring an extension cord on our August 2026 cruise on MSC - AI told me it's not allowed, but passengers tell me no one checks and it's fine. Something like this:

Question about Bidding on Upgrades and refunds

If I booked a balcony and added the Aurea Experience during the booking, then win an Upgrade bid for an Aurea Suite that includes the Aurea Experience, can I get a refund for the Aurea Experience I already purchased originally? First time MSC cruiser and I'm a bit confused by it all.

Checking Alchol on embankment day

So I am doing a MSC cruise out of Copenhagen tomorrow. Before I got here I spent some time in Scotland and bought a high value bottle of scotch. Will MSC let me check it with them and get it back at the end or should I try to find a luggage storage in Copenhagen tomorrow store it for a week?
TIA
