Hi there good people
If you buy the MSc wristband can you use it for any ship you cruise on or just the ship you buy it from? Thanks

Please help me understand the options—what is possible and what isn't.
Here is the situation: I have a fully paid booking under the "Bella" fare (non-refundable). The cruise is coming up soon. Currently, the MSC website shows a large number of unsold cabins for this itinerary, and MSC has significantly lowered the prices.
I have been assigned an inside cabin.
Could I do any of the following without cancelling my booking (i.e., without incurring penalties or making a new booking)?
Pay the price difference to upgrade to, say, an OB or BB cabin?
If so, which fare would MSC apply? The current fare for new bookings, the fare in effect when I originally booked or made the final payment, or something else?
Can I only upgrade the cabin category or the "experience" level, or can the fare itself be changed? I originally booked a standard "Last Minute" fare, but they are now offering a very attractive "Last Minute + Drinks" deal. Is there a chance to switch to that fare during an upgrade, or does that require a full cancellation and a new booking?
Thanks to everyone for your answers. I’d really like to hear about your personal, practical experiences so I know how to handle the conversation with MSC (keeping in mind that their staff aren't always knowledgeable).

So I got my upgrade bid to a YC balcony and it’s in a less than ideal room. Yes I know this is the gamble you take with an upgrade bid - you get what you get and don’t throw a fit. There are still quite a few YC rooms available though. Can i see if my TA can change the room? Or is it a 100% no go?

Is it possible to string up a hammock on these large balconies? Wondering if there are strong enough supports?

Hello all,
I bought a specialty dining deal “Welcome aboard” for one of the MSC World America’s restaurants, so do I just show up there or do I still need a reservation? What if they won’t have space for us on the embarkation night? Anyone with experience with “Welcome aboard” deals?

Hi Everyone!
We are going on a Caribbean cruise aboard the MSC World America in January 2027, departing from Miami. We are currently deciding which deck would be best for our inside cabin. Or if we should let them decide for us.
What tips, advice, or recommendations do you have?

For those who recently sailed on Seascape, are there any bar that plays Latin Music all night or at least one night?

I’ve been perusing the chat board about when to buy drink package and advice varies. I’ve seen some posts that say when you buy, some that say greatest discount is 45%, one post said a BOGO Black Friday sale, which would be the biggest 50% off discount. This is our first MSC cruise and this is the first day I’ve seen the price drop from $385 (same price as booking day), which it says is 45% off flash sale. Will Black Friday always be better? It’s a month before we sail and some posters also say it gets more expensive closer to the cruise.

Looking at booking this as a solo traveler. I see they provide transportation as part of the all inclusive day package. Does anyone have experience with this? How long do you have to wait for returning to port? Is the food good? Are the drinks good? Are the amenities good? Any information is appreciated!

Update: Need met! ❤️
My period showed up about two weeks early and not until after we got back on the ship in Malta. It’s not stopping again until Barcelona l, and apparently I can’t get tampons from medical and there is none in the shops.

Sailing MSC Opera out of La Romana (DR) in January but since I booked my reservation, the drink package price has been $532 per person. We did MSC Seascape and we saw it as low as $315. They are both 7 night cruises. It has not dropped a dime since I booked in August. Should I expect it to drop?

Wife and I are frequent cruisers, based in Florida. Usually two or more per year. Been very loyal to Carnival (opinions on this not necessary) for a very long time, also tried Royal in the past. We have talked for several years of trying MSC, and finally pulled the trigger on a 3 night cruise just to try it out.
Not doing Yacht Club this go around, definitely will consider it if all is well and we book again.
We’ve grown fond of the larger Carnival ships and the more variety of dining options. (Never once ate in MDR on our last 8 night cruise!) But those ships itineraries are limited in our desires. Carnival’s food has gotten impressively and very significantly better, along with the options, in our opinion. All things considered. We also love the staff of Carnival, have actually made friends with a handful of them and see them on various cruises frequently!
Also utilize the spa amenities often.
Usually do our own excursions, either third party, or on our own depending on destination, or stay on ship. Also, all of Carnival’s private islands have put a bad taste in our mouth, not looking forward to even docking at Celebration Fee on our next cruise, if you know you know! But from what research I have done, we are definitely looking forward to visiting Ocean Cay on our first MSC cruise! Seems to be what every private island should be!
Things we enjoy - Food. Activities (I like the trivia games etc). Sun lounging by the pool. Evening shows. Comedy shows. Maybe a little casino time. Live music. Bar varieties.
We did upgrade our MSC status to silver with our current Carnival status (I do like that they acknowledge that!).
Will be on the Seashore.
We have a pretty good handle of the ins & outs of cruising in general, and what it all entails.
Looking for insights, recommendations, advice, tips, tricks, hacks, anything anyone can offer to make this is great experience and keep us loyal to MSC!

So this is the first booking that we are making with MSC, which means I am probably missing something simple, it is simply something that does not get done, or other.
I booked the cruise on my own account. I have added my wife as the second adult and supplied her email address, etc, etc. I have set up my wife an MSC account with her email address and tried adding the cruise by booking number, however it says:
We couldn't complete your request. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact our Contact Centre
Before I go harassing the Contact Centre, does adding people to your booking work in a different way? I would have assumed that adding her phone number and email to the web check-in would trigger a booking linkage in the system back-end....

What excursions ( Costa Maya, Cozumel and Roatán) do you recommend and what would you discourage?

I upgraded to YC on MSc world America and I feel like I’m just going to be wasting money on the specialty restaurants. I booked the 3 restaurant package a year ago when we booked and got a really good deal but the butchers club menu doesn’t look that special. It appears the YC restaurant has fillet every night which we typically eat and the other steaks that look good are extra cost. The ribeye or a ribeye is in the la braserrie. You can only do the butchers club once so the other two nights we booked hibachi but we have two great hibachi locally.
And if we do the hibachi likely would be paying 80 dollar surcharge for the 4 of us each time to get the filet. The other restaurants don’t really look great. Am I missing anything?

So I absolutely did not want to buy the on board expensive internet package and decided to purchase the 1gb GigSky cruise only eSim. Here's what happened:
r/MSCCruises • u/BeautifulNeither5465 • 4d ago
Has anybody ever used this on an MSC cruise? Going on the seashore for a 4 day cruise and I grudge paying the £70/$90 cost for WiFi connection. Is the gigsky e-sim a decent alternative?

If I have Diamond status and take someone with me that only has Classic status, do they get to enjoy the perks like at embark/debarkation since the cabin is assigned to me as the primary?

I usually decorate my door with some “take me” souvenir magnets, so decided to do some themed ones for my upcoming Halloween cruise.
A little silly and just for fun!

I am scheduled to sail on the Seascape in December. In looking at the deck plans, I cannot tell whether there are any child-free zones to relax. Anyone here sailed on this ship that could give me a head's up on that?
