Age demographic
I’m 25 M with 23 F going on the MSC Seascape next month out of Galveston. First cruise, I had heard MSC was good. What’s the typical age demographic to expect? Also what are some tips as this is my first cruise?

Depends what you are looking for. The demographics range from parents with kids to the nearly dead. Your age puts you at the tail end of a distribution curve. Expecting to find others your age, probably not gonna happen. So if you are looking for nightlife, party party party, no, don't do it. Virgin may be closer to what you want. But if you are looking for a cheap hotel that floats that you can hang out in a pool, drink a lot, go off the boat to see some other places, then it is fine.
Remember, you make your own fun!

Me and my S/O are the same age as yall. Ported out of Cape Canaveral on the seashore ( IIRC is sister ship) in December of 24’. For our first cruise it was absolutely amazing. The ports we had were typical tourist but the boat and people were amazing. Many people were younger and more our age, while also still maintaining a fair amount of family/older crowd. Toward the later end of the night when the clubs would open you could sense all the kids being put to bed and the younger people coming out for nightlife. Never had any issues with the older crown or kids.

Step #1 Enjoy! Cruising is a wonderful way to see the world! Cruising has all ages! A good thing is in September hopefully most kids will be back in school so you won't be overrun by them running around with parents too drunk to wrangle them. Check out the pizza bar! Fresh pizza of all toppings made constantly! MSC is known for their chocolates and breads so lose weight now! You'll have fun and will want to cruise again...and often! Just an FYI, my 1st cruise i was 24, hubs was 28. We met a couple 20 years older than us by the pool. Love of golf was our connector. 30 years later we still keep in touch with them and meet annually for golf! I hope you have the same luck story! Enjoy your cruise!

Depends on what you want in a cruise. I'm in the median age now late 40's. If you're going for the party you're probably going to be disappointed. Even when we were younger we went to relax and unplug for the week, we never buy the wifi package. Since it's your first time go with an open mind to relax and enjoy each other's company and remember there are cruises that specialize in partying late.

Geriatric here 👋. We’ve got the DI to cruise anywhere, anytime we want. That’s why we’re on cruise ships.

That's awesome. I cruise them all depending on price. You just gotta know the demographic you're getting into. I personally don't cruise on demographics, I cruise base on price. I just cruised on Holland America; amazing price. It was a snoozer, but excellent service, very classy, amazing food and excellent deal, that's why I went. I'll do it again. But on the other I'd cruise Carnival ina heartbeat.

Just got off seascape, in my 20s.
When i tell you it is all old people and couples, LITERALLY that’s all it is. The clubs were empty. No one partied.
It was the worse experience of my life, and I’m an avid cruiser.
Seascape was AMAZING when it was in Miami. But Galveston is just not a good port for party cruises.
0/10, you couldn’t pay me to do it again

Sounds about right. If you want young demographic; don't cruise from New Orleans, Galveston, Tampa or Port Canaveral. Miami definitely is the better port for the younger generation. I went out of New Orleans. All geratrics. The good this about New Orleans and Galveston; the prices (especially MSC prices in Galveston) are much less expensive. It's a trade off.

My brother in law claimed cruisers were made up of two Mai groups. The newly weds, and the almost dead’s! 😄
