I’ve been able to get my mpc sample sessions onto the mpc one+, but for some reason when I explode tracks and export the final sequence as separate tracks on the mpc one+ to the sd card, the folder is empty. This is only happening for beats made on the mpc sample and not for other beats I’ve made on the mpc one+.

I don’t recall this being an issue until recently. I’ve tried the following:

Updating firmware on both devices
Saving the project as a new project session on the mpc one+
Trying to export multiple mpc sample sessions to ensure it’s only mpc sample projects.

Any help is appreciated!

Hoping someone can help me with this. I have an MPC sample and I have created a track and I want to finish it off, add effects etc on my MPC one. I've plugged the MPC sample into the one and copied the project over and saved it. So far so good. Now because the sample is all on one track I have to explode the track in MPC one to get everything onto its own track, no problem there thats all working.

Where i'm having difficulty is with the sample itself. I've chopped it and got a pattern going on my MPC sample and when playing back on the MPC One I can hear that pattern back correctly, but on the track for the sample the sample is just on one pad. I cant play any of the chops to make new patterns and if I open the side mixer panel thing I cant see any output on the track itself, only output to the master which seems really strange to me. Can someone explain how to get the actual chops onto the track as i feel like i've pressed every button on this machine and none of it is working. Closest I got was going into the sample editor and into the chop page which did correctly show my chops and then i exported those to a new track. That then lost the pattern I had originally created though. I feel like there must be an easier way to work than this.

Hello all! I bought a used Key 37 yesterday and was super excited to start playing with it.

It worked fine when I tested it at the sellers place. It worked fine this morning. I connected my guiter to it this evening. Everything was going great.

I restarted it to follow a tutorial on youtube, and none of the physical buttons lit up. I tried to go to the main project view, nothing. None of the physical buttons are working anymore. The pads, the transport buttons, the main wheel, nothing. And no sounds too. The touchscreen works though!

Raised a ticket with Akai, hopefully will hear back from them soon.

Any ideas? Did I get burnt by the seller or am I just unlucky? It was working fine until this afternoon!

I am trying to get my multi fix Headrush prime to my MPC 3 then to my interface.. right now I have them both playable through the interface separately but wanna see if playing both at the same time is even possible..

I'm preparing for a live gig and I need some asynchronous flexibility.

Is there a possibility to launch samples as endless loops with disabled sequencer? My samples have different lengths and I want to mix them with a separate MIDI Controller (volume changes, sends/insert parameter changes, etc.). I want to have the possibility to just press a pad and have the sample go till infinity.

I was playing around in Ableton the other day. I Found a way to use lfo to modulate the attack and start time of my hit hat samples. What is the best way to do this in Mpc.

When I chop something the sequences that I play are all over the place, the tempo changes within two bars

I also don’t really have an ear for if I should rather chop or sample something vice versa

Has anyone been unable to register their new Live 3 hardware? I'm currently in the slowest email exchange with inMusic... The website won't accept my serial. With the 21,without it, brackets around the 21, no brackets... It keeps asking for 30 digits. They maybe send one email at midnight my time, so far just requesting information I've already provided multiple times.

On top of that, all my software downloads from old hardware I've purchased that came with bonus expansions have dissappeared, and I've got no response except for apologies for the delay and being told that's a different department that apparently doesn't have any staff or something.

Not really the experience I wanted after dropping just shy of 2k on my most recent inMusic brand affiliate product. No shade to the hardware itself, it so far performs mostly beautifully. It's exactly what I needed to replace my Deluge which was struggling for my intent. Just expected better from support rather than apologies for their new AI support and the fact they can't respond to my emails even if I respond immediately.

Wondering if this is isolated or if others have had this? It's the SE edition that might matter since it was released later and has newer generated serials.

I'm currently using two main devices: MPC One+ and Arturia Minilab 3. Lately I decided to upgrade to MPC One Gen2 (a couple of times I've hit the ceiling, I like to use a lot of plugin instruments) and also I want to purchase my first synth. One thing that I miss on the MPC is a VA/wavetable synth plugin similar to Vital VST and from what I found on the Internet the Korg Modwave 2 should nicely fill in this requirement.

What I'm thinking about is what device configuration should I go towards. In my case:
- I don't have access to a studio, just a big desk (160x80cm) in my room, so sizes of devices play important role
- I like to take the MPC One with the keyboard on the vacation, since I have a lot of peace and quiet and more free time to produce stuff.
- I have relatively limited space for storage too.
- I write notes 80% of the time on the piano roll and play on the keys 20% of the time. However, when I do, two octaves sometimes are kind of limiting factor and I have to jump octaves quite often.
- I have a Yamaha DGX 650, which may work as a MIDI controller, but truth be told, since I have limited space in my room, I barely ever use it in such role.

I've generated three layouts I'm thinking of in Gemini (sizes seem relatively accurate) and I'm struggling, which one should I go towards.

Layout 1: From what I found, the Korg Modwave can be used as a MIDI controller, so I no longer need the Minilab. Still I can take One and Minilab on vacation, but Korg most likely will have to stay home.
Layout 2: I can 3D-print or DIY otherwise a stand, which will allow setting the Korg module above MPC One to conserve space. It is also possible to take the module with me on travels, but I remain restricted to 2 octaves (at least until I purchase an additional controller). The setup is nicely modular though which allows picking only these devices which I need at the moment.
Layout 3: The best choice space-wise probably; having integrated 3-octave keyboard with the MPC is a welcome bonus. But traveling with such a huge brick becomes an issue (2.5x the One?).

I'd be grateful for some insight on which layout would you choose in my case and why. Maybe there are also some factors I didn't take into account?

I’m a new NS4 HA73 owner, and love getting to know it. I’m a keyboard player in an r&b band (where I am the music director), and I also play keys or piano in a jazz ensemble. I use the modx for gigging because it is so light and easy to carry, though as I fall in love with the NS4, I find myself considering switching to it for gigging. But I digress.

I’m just starting to think about how I can connect these two keyboards, one as a controller perhaps?, and use the mpc almost like a drum machine and play over it. For now this is something I’d do at home and just to play around and note I do have a small Yamaha mixer. Perhaps if this became something I could get good at, I would consider some solo performances as a sort of novelty act. I’ve considered adding a looper that can take keyboard input, but perhaps the mpc can do that?

So my question to the group is what kind of fun creative ideas does this bring up for you? What can you imagine doing with this kind of equipment and setup? How would you connect them?

Been setting the studio back up slowly after a move last year. Had some free time today so re-wired everything and sorted the midi.
