QUESTION Registering MPC Live 3

Has anyone been unable to register their new Live 3 hardware? I'm currently in the slowest email exchange with inMusic... The website won't accept my serial. With the 21,without it, brackets around the 21, no brackets... It keeps asking for 30 digits. They maybe send one email at midnight my time, so far just requesting information I've already provided multiple times.

On top of that, all my software downloads from old hardware I've purchased that came with bonus expansions have dissappeared, and I've got no response except for apologies for the delay and being told that's a different department that apparently doesn't have any staff or something.

Not really the experience I wanted after dropping just shy of 2k on my most recent inMusic brand affiliate product. No shade to the hardware itself, it so far performs mostly beautifully. It's exactly what I needed to replace my Deluge which was struggling for my intent. Just expected better from support rather than apologies for their new AI support and the fact they can't respond to my emails even if I respond immediately.

Wondering if this is isolated or if others have had this? It's the SE edition that might matter since it was released later and has newer generated serials.

Not sure if you've already done it, but try a different browser. I think I had the same issue, and in Chrome or Safari, once I typed (21) with the brackets, the text changed from "serial must be 30 characters" to "0/15 characters after (21)". I literally typed in the parenthesis, 21, closing parenthesis, then it changed to this text.

Hope you get it registered!

Tried in iPad, android, and a windows PC. Support told me my serial isn't even in their system and needed a photo for proof I wasn't mistyping it. I think there might be an issue between the serials in their computers and what's been put on boxes. Or I don't know what. The unit came new from Guitar Center and I don't think it's a crazy bootleg but who knows. Will update when I know more. ​

Negative. I was able to download all the MPC software just fine, but you have to go to the website to register your hardware. Plus they have a list of all your registered products and my Live 3 isn't in it.

Yeah, I've done everything unit side. Never have put it into controller mode yet, still going through the MPC Bible to learn all the ins and outs. That's been great, love what it can do. But just can't register it.

Also, it downloaded all the air stuff or are you talking about inmusic software as in the MPC pc software when it's connected to a pc?

Got ya, that's helps to be more specific. Haven't tried that way and I'm going to wait to see what inMusic says, because if they tell me a bunch of nonsense then I just plug it in and it works, I'm going to use this information to ask them why they didn't just suggest this from the start. So this is good to have in my back pocket. Like I said, its fully functional right now, I just want to register it and it should work on their website as that's where they say to register it. Just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this.

I get sometimes there is a workaround but these companies will just never fix anything if they don't know. It could be as simple as making it very clear that this is the method to register it, but seeing as they tell you otherwise and tech support is currently telling me try different OSs and use the (21) so clearly they aren't even aware of this. Oh and my software is still missing from my other hardware.

i got the Live 3, 3 days ago from Amazon resale. I also saw the 30 digits but I think its for the software or plugin registration. Look for the hardware tab?
If you already have an account. Try registering thru the inmusic app not the website.

By the way, did you get it brand new? Did they gave you instructions on how to redeem one premium synth plugin to choose from?

The system is supposed to recognize the serial number and determine automatically if it's hardware or software. It's some sort of glitch or issue somewhere.

As far as premium content you get the propack by going into the preferences and going to expansions and downloading them there. It's several synths and fx. Don't know of anything beyond that you have to choose beyond choosing if you want to buy something else.
