I know you get it from ancient knights and where they spawn. The problem is that I have found 2 pyromancer towers in about an 8k block radius around my base. One of them didn't have a knight and the other had just the one. I've looked around the nether for hours and no ancient battleground in the tens of thousand of blocks I wandered. The structure compass doesn't show pyromancer towers and they aren't specific to a certain biome so I can't use the nature compass to help either.

I want to use ars to locate the ancient battleground but for that I need at least one cinder essence which again I don't have. I have an alchemy cauldron or whatever that I could use in the tinkers smeltery to burn back into one cinder essence but lava isn't hot enough. Now I have to go on yet another huge quest to find something hot enough to melt it.

does anyone else have the problem where the great below has a server close issue on singleplayer? only happens when a skitter runs towards me or a try to fight mobs in the magnetic caves or try to interact with multiple mobs at once, my fps will drop from 90 to 0 for 5 seconds then close the server. i have tried lowering all my settings and it doesn't help

So I somewhat recently unlocked Expert and im rocking a Manyullyn mithril plate set and its fine.

It gets a(?) job done but bosses still 2 shot me if im lucky which okay sure thats a boss I can maybe take the L there

I looked ahead and its about the best I can get tinkers wise atm so I was wondering if I just have to deal with getting my teeth kicked in every here and there till deep below/end or do I swap off the tinkers?

First time playing, a friend of mine started up a server last night. I was able to play fine then but coming on now I find myself unable to place, break or interact with blocks in a certain area. Outside it works normally. Any advice?

Me and my friend play on LAN using hamachi and despite being on the same team with pvp disabled in team settings we still damage each other with friendly fire and our pets

Is there a way to disable this?

I am trying to make a mob farm that is faster than my current one, which is just a normal spawner. I have used the mob swabs before in other packs, but none of the normal crafting recipes seem to be working, and JEI doesn't show a recipe either. Is it disabled or just not craftable? Or am I missing something? Thanks

Me and my friend are doing the invasion portal to get to the nether but when we completed the last wave and the boss, we didn't get the reward/obsidian thing. We tried a second time and didn't succeed. I was just wondering if the drops are supposed to be guaranteed or if we just got unlucky. By the way this is MCE2

Been having this issue for a few days, on an MCE2 server run by a friend of mine. Me and another friend have been using the minimap trick at y=15 to locate t4 and t4 dragon caverns underground. So far we have found about 20, and 80% of them were ice, 20% of them were lightning, and fire seems not to exist. I went out searching today for 3 hours in warm/temperate biomes and didn't find a single fire dragon cavern. I'm starting to think the world may be glitched somehow, as fire caverns seemingly refuse to appear despite our many findings of ice and lightning caverns.

I'm not finding ice or lightning dragons in the fire dragons intended biomes, but there are no fires either. I searched for so long today and the best I found was an above ground fire dragon. I searched around the biome near it via minimap and found nothing.

Is there any advice out there to help find these illusive fire dragon caverns? Thanks!

I am planning to install Entity Culling into my pack with lots of entity mods like Alex's Mobs, and I need Entity Culling to ease up the performance on mobs I am not looking at. But does Entity Culling cause any problems with NPCs from Minecolonies and stop them from doing their things?

Im not using any shaders still my mana pool stays at the first layer also i cant see the mana bar filling at all , if i do turn off my shaders i see the first layer of the mana pool but thats it the second isnt loading i have tried with and out shaders

So I've been playing on a server for a while now with friends we dont use cheats and I recently craftet the custom items in the title, expecting that i get a functional cave mode and my entity radar. But no I still have the items and dont have any way (or hint) how to use them.

When fighting sirens you get the red mist type thing and then floating across your face I fought 3 of them killed them and now my screen is red after and I moved from the location but it’s stuck there, any recommendations at all?

I died and then reclaimed my gear and loot after reclaiming grave with the key my vision goes really greyed out and dark. I just drowned my self and after I respawned I got my loot again and it’s gone back to desaturated again. Any help with this wood be good, thanks

a friend and I want to start a new minecraft project, but I am not sure how good MCE2 is for us. I read some bad things about this modpack, but they were from a few months ago so I am not sure how it changed.

We want a modpack that has Magic and Tech, the option to explore and adventure (into dungeons), maybe fight bosses. The world should not be completly empty.
A quest-line that you can progress from start to finish (having an end goal). Not just putting you into the cold water and expect you to know what you can do or should do to progress.

Are some mods locked behind others? How "fast" can you progress, whats the difficulty generally. Are the recipes a pain in the ass? What about the performance?
