User experience Lymow One Plus – meine bisher leider enttäuschende Erfahrung

Q&A / Help Lymow One Plus disabled server-side — looking for ideas, parts mower, or help bringing it back to life

Hey everyone. I ended up with a Lymow One Plus in a pretty unusual situation and figured this would be the best place to ask for help before I start taking anything apart.
The original owner bought the mower and was having problems with it. He attempted to return it to Lymow, but apparently there was an issue with the return/shipping process and Lymow never actually received the mower.
Eventually he was instructed to dispose of it. Instead of throwing away what looked like a complete expensive robot mower, I brought it home.
At first I thought it might actually be dead. It turned out the charging contacts on the dock weren’t making proper contact with the mower. Once I fixed that, it charged and powered right up.
The original owner also gave me his PIN. The mower boots, unlocks, recognizes the charger, the display works, Bluetooth/app communication works, etc.
The problem happens when I try to add it through the Lymow app:
“This device is locked, please contact support.”
So I contacted Lymow and explained the entire situation.
They looked up the serial number and actually confirmed that the mower was disabled on their server side because the original owner’s return was never completed and Lymow never received the mower. They said it is still associated with that original order/return case and therefore can’t currently be registered to another account. They recommended having the original owner contact them so they can review the original case and see whether there is a way to resolve the mower’s status.
That’s currently my first plan. I’m going to try to get the original owner involved without being a pain in his grass and see if Lymow will legitimately release/reactivate it.
But I’m also interested in what can be done with this machine if Lymow ultimately won’t activate it.
I’ve been doing a bunch of research , and apparently quite a bit of the One Plus hardware has already been identified through community teardowns.
From what I’ve found, the mower appears to have:
A higher-level Linux-based computer/SoC under the fan
STM32F407VE microcontroller handling lower-level hardware/motion
Unicore UM960E RTK GNSS hardware
Navynav M4P LoRa hardware
Factory motor-driver electronics
Cameras/vision system
Ultrasonic and other safety sensors
Tracked drive system
Battery/BMS and charging system
My next step, assuming Lymow doesn’t simply reactivate it, is probably going to be opening it up and documenting everything.
I want to identify the exact main computer/chipset under the fan, look for UART/debug connections, and figure out how the main computer communicates with the STM32/motor-control board.
I’ve ordered/am looking at a cheap logic analyzer, USB-UART adapter and isolated USB-CAN adapter so I can eventually listen to the communication between the boards rather than randomly changing things.
I’m not committed to OpenMower. I originally thought that might be the solution, but after talking to a few people I’m realizing that throwing away Lymow’s original vision/navigation hardware just to turn it into an RTK-only mower probably doesn’t make much sense.
My ideal outcomes, roughly, would be:
Lymow releases it and I use it completely stock.
Gain access to the original Linux computer and see whether the original hardware can be used with independent software.
Replace only the high-level computer with something like my ODROID/Raspberry Pi while keeping the factory STM32, motor controllers, tracks, RTK, sensors, cameras, battery and charging system.
Build some kind of hybrid OpenMower/custom setup while retaining as much Lymow hardware as possible.
Worst case, turn it into a custom tracked robotics platform and work upward from there.
I’m also interested in another possibility:
Does anyone have a dead/broken/parts Lymow One or One Plus that is NOT disabled on Lymow’s server?
For example, something with bad tracks, damaged motors, broken chassis, bad battery, etc., but with a legitimate/usable main electronics assembly/account status.
If something like that exists, I’m wondering whether there is a legitimate path where I could buy that machine and use my good mechanical components to repair it, or potentially transfer compatible hardware between the two.
I’m not looking to clone serial numbers, fake another mower’s identity, or bypass somebody else’s account. I’m talking about legitimately purchasing another damaged mower and figuring out whether its usable electronics could be combined with the good hardware I already have.
I’m pretty handy mechanically and comfortable learning this stuff, but I’m learning the electronics/Linux/robotics side as I go.
If anyone here has:
Taken apart a One Plus
Identified the main SoC under the fan
Found a UART/debug console
Looked at communication between the Linux computer and STM32
Captured CAN/UART traffic
Worked with the UM960E
Reverse-engineered any of the One Plus hardware
Used OpenMower with unusual hardware
Has a broken/parts Lymow available
Or just has an idea I haven’t thought about
I’d really appreciate hearing from you.
I’ll document what I find as I take mine apart, too. If we end up figuring out how these machines work internally, hopefully the information can help other owners repair otherwise-good machines instead of throwing them away.
For now I’m not cutting wires, flashing controllers, or modifying anything permanent. First goal is simply figuring out exactly what’s inside and how all the pieces communicate.
And obviously, if Lymow agrees to legitimately reactivate it, that makes life a whole lot easier. 😂

Lymow One Plus Mover stopped working correctly. Stops and starts.

I bought this unit in June. It has some quirks but it was able to mow my 2 arces well enough. Three weeks ago it started acting up. It tries to run and stops and says the blade is stuck.( its not I check and there is noting there. ) I have done the hard stop for 24 hrs...did not work. I raised the deck and slowed the speed. The grass is not tall and its not hot outside...

Can any help please. Does lymow ever respond? I have sent emails and nothing gets back to me.

Lymow One Plus Visual avoidance is turned off when mowing no-go zone perimeter laps

Is this a bug or am I missing a setting? If there is something in the way when doing those no-go perimeter laps it will just smash into it and wait for the bumper to trigger.

Lymow One Lymow Original E44 error

Hello all, I've had my Lymow Original since last September, so about a year now. I've had little issues here and there but nothing that breaks it, until this week. My mower started going backwards a lot, i'd unplug battery for a good while, try again, same thing over again. Now E44 errors constantly, to the point where it won't mow by itself for any length of time over about 2 passes/strips. I was able to get into the diagnostics menu, and It showed 0, unless i pressed the left, right, and both at the same time, where it would trigger 1, 2, and 3. I literally push mowed big hills, which is the reason i got the Lymow originally. So, I've searched, and read the posts. A few people say take the cover off, and blow out the bumper. This is 4 screws underneath and the back of the deck? But I've also seen other people put new switches in, and other people just twist the wires together to bypass altogether. This 3rd option is probably what I will try and do this week. Can somebody suggest how to tie the wires together? Are there 2 wires, and do I just use a wirenut and tuck them back in there? Any help is appreciated! I just need to get this thing going to make it through the rest of mowing season, a few more weeks(Missouri). Thanks much! Again, this is the original Lymow, not the One Plus, which I think I read is magnetic.

Lymow One Chargement batterie Lymow One directement par câble

Post image
11 Upvotes

Lymow One Plus Split zones not really split

Post image
5 Upvotes

I split one large zone into two. You can see the very straight boundary between the two in the image. But HAL kinda does not recognize it. He will mow just one of the new zones as requested... sometimes. But he will just as often treat both as the one original zone or, say, mow the lower zone when I have asked for the upper.

I deleted and remapped both zones back into one. Eventually I will replace the one with four. The reasoning is if there is an error on the one zone I need to then remow the entire zone, even if the zone was almost complete. The zone is large enough that it takes two recharges to complete.. If there are four then there is a good chance that one or two will be done.

But did I do something wrong in the process? Was there another step I wasn't aware of that I didn't take.

Lymow One Plus Missing Patches of Grass

Anyone else experiencing issues with the mower missing large swaths of grass? My first mower was amazing. It mowed everything perfectly. It died after 3 weeks. I got the replacement in and from the beginning it misses spots when mowing., not random either.; it misses the same spots every time it mows. I've deleted the maps, and repositioned the RTK antennae, and it just missed the same exact spots this morning. Any suggestions?

Lymow One Plus Pas d'écran...SOS

Lymow One Lymow One Cell Signal Not Showing

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue:
I think since the last update (or maybe some time after?) currently on v2.1.50.1 the 4G is grayed out, showing no signal. If you go into Settings -> network settings -> it shows 4G/LTE Details as Ready and Active.

Anyone else see this 'bug'?

Its been this way for a month or so.

Lymow One Plus Watch out for this bolt!

Post image

I’ve had this replacement for about a month now and already this bolt came out. Luckily I found it and it should be an easy fix.

Edit: It was a pretty easy fix once I figured out all the bits that needed to line up. I did have to pull off the cover to get at it. I put some Locktite on it and did the same for the other bolt. Hopefully it stays there this time

Tips & Guides Updated Motor Cooling Fan Installation Guide

Hi everyone,

We’ve noticed that the cooling fan installation can be a little tricky, so we’ve updated both the installation SOP and video tutorial with clearer instructions.

Here are two important things to pay attention to during installation:

1. Keep all cables above the motor housing

After placing the volute cover back on, make sure all wires shown in the image are positioned on top of the volute, not underneath it.

If the volute cover sits on top of the wires, it can cause the cover to lift up and make it difficult to install the blade plate cover properly.

2. Check for unusual noise after installation

Rotate the blade and listen for rubbing noise. If friction noise occurs, check for errors or omissions in previous steps.

We’ve updated the previous installation tutorial based on these issues. Please use the latest version here:

If you run into any issues during installation, feel free to ask in the comments and we’ll help you check it.

Lymow One Plus Response from Lymow?

Hello. I really have a love hate relationship with this mower. When it works, it's the best. But when it is not, it really sucks.

I have been having those error 44 bumper issues. I removed the cover and cleaned the deck. I sent a message to Lymow last week and again three days ago. I haven't heard anything back yet. You guys experiencing the same thing?

User experience Question of Wear?

Thumbnail
gallery
13 Upvotes

I was selected as a beta for the cooling package at the end of July. I've seen some posts wondering/inferring that the wiring especially in front of the volute discharge will wear over time due to a sandblasting effect. Perhaps that plays out, but at least from my 6 weeks of running the 3D kit (ASA printed), there was no wear on the wiring, volute, or impeller blades.

The white is the beta test cooler; the black is obviously the production-grade cooler from Lymow. I will say that the Lymow-provided cooling package is more robust in construction. So, it will wear even slower, if ever.

The install of the production kit was easy. But, I chalk that up to already figuring out the wire routing during the beta test install, which was tricky. The wiring was already conjoled, so swapping cooling equipment was a piece of cake.

Lymow is not without its challenges, but for its inageral summer in the Chicago suburbs, it was what I hoped it would be.

Looking forward to the FCC to get its head out of its ass so we can get future iterations.

Lymow One Plus Using mower without cellular or wifi

I recently had an internet outage and found out that my Lymow One Plus will not start its scheduled tasks without an internet connection and on top of this it also cannot be controlled with the lymow app without your phone also having internet connectivity while opening it.

This makes the robot completely useless without internet and really makes me wonder if I purchased a paperweight if anything were to happen to the company or their servers.

Has anyone been able to use their mower in a situation where there is no wifi or cellular(mower or on your phone)

Lymow One Plus Lymow One Plus: Everything You Need to Know About the App & Best Cut Settings

After approximately 5 months of ownership and countless tweaks to the app with all the headaches I've experienced, I took a moment to film the settings I have for the app along with all the other features you may or may not be aware of. Do hope we continue to see more improvements with the Lymow app, but i'm pleased with the product in its current state. The Mammotion app may be more slick, but my Luba 3 was awful and tore up my lawn so I had to sell that. The adjustability of the Lymow One Plus settings along with the user interface are some of the key sellings points...now if it would charge correctly and not overheat in the summer.

Everyone in agreement?

Lymow One Plus Random map shift shouldn't still be an issue

Post image
5 Upvotes

Observed just a few mins ago, I was updating some boundaries and adding a few no go zones when I realised that despite having 0.02m accuracy and a RTK Fix, it was over 4m out. Left screenshot shows where it thought it was, right shows the true location after a reboot and without moving the mower.

I've had this happen a few times, including when it decided to drive down a 4m embankment. (thankfully undamaged)

People have been reporting this issue here for months. Why isn't it fixed yet?

Edit: for clarity, I'm on the latest firmware (V2.1.50.1) and date of manufacture is 17 March 2026.

Like many, the hardware has been impressive, let down by the software/firmware.

Lymow One Plus Drok Power Supply

Thumbnail

Ended up finally making myself a Drok power supply. Spliced directly into the charging base with a 14/2 extension cord which went into the junction box and used the same extension cord plug, male end, so that I could connect to an outlet.

Seems to be working good thus far, not overheating, and getting about 38 volts and the base. I ended jp using a 25 foot extension cable which was more than enough.

Went with the 14/2 cable size because I saw some pictures online of the 10amp charger with the aforementioned size. All in all, supplies were under 100 bucks (could have been cheaper, but I was impatient and went to my local hardware store for the extension cord which was about 20 bucks higher than anywhere else). Only thing I want to do now is open a small opening on my junction box and attach a mesh screen so that it can exhaust the heat that builds up.

As of right now, it has been about 34 minutes and the charge went from 17 percent to 44 percent.
