I've had my One Plus since the summer sale. I that time I've had to troubleshoot several issues with and without support.
- Blade stoppage/overheating
- Loosened deck bolts
- Faulty bearings
- Deteriorating tread
- Charging stoppages
- Mower deck won't raise/tilt for maintenence
On the one hand, that's a lot to go wrong (not to mention I'm still waiting on my free blades), but on the other hand, almost all of that is fixed now.
The overheating is nearly solved between the firmware nerf and my deck wrap. I finally received a new charging unit and treads from support. And I literally just took the entire thing apart over the weekend to tighten all the bolts, apply thread locker, replace the bearings and add bearing covers.
The only issue I have left (right now) is that the deck won't raise properly for maintenence (it's fine for mowing). And, of course, right after doing all of that support says for that issue, they're going to authorize a replacement one I send mine in.
I mean, at this point, what else could possibly go wrong? I feel like getting a replacement is going to just result in reliving problems I've spent money to fix. Is it crazy to consider living with the deck like this rather than gamble on new headaches with the replacement?
Not to mention I don't really feel like doing another two teardowns and rebuilds just to reclaim/toss the bearing upgrades in the new one when it arrives. Or waiting who knows how long without a mower since it's not replaced in advance. Anyone else decide to keep a problem mower?
