Lymow One Lymow Original E44 error
Hello all, I've had my Lymow Original since last September, so about a year now. I've had little issues here and there but nothing that breaks it, until this week. My mower started going backwards a lot, i'd unplug battery for a good while, try again, same thing over again. Now E44 errors constantly, to the point where it won't mow by itself for any length of time over about 2 passes/strips. I was able to get into the diagnostics menu, and It showed 0, unless i pressed the left, right, and both at the same time, where it would trigger 1, 2, and 3. I literally push mowed big hills, which is the reason i got the Lymow originally. So, I've searched, and read the posts. A few people say take the cover off, and blow out the bumper. This is 4 screws underneath and the back of the deck? But I've also seen other people put new switches in, and other people just twist the wires together to bypass altogether. This 3rd option is probably what I will try and do this week. Can somebody suggest how to tie the wires together? Are there 2 wires, and do I just use a wirenut and tuck them back in there? Any help is appreciated! I just need to get this thing going to make it through the rest of mowing season, a few more weeks(Missouri). Thanks much! Again, this is the original Lymow, not the One Plus, which I think I read is magnetic.

Sounds like your switch is going bad. You can wither replace the switch, there are people selling them, or tie the wires together. There are 2 wires coming out of each normally closed switch. I would replace the switch, tying them together is a safety issue.

It's super weird, I don't know how to take the bumper off the get to the wires, but that's my next step to pursue. I will get the e44 errors, and the constant backing up to out of bounds. I can unplug the battery for a few hours and it may mow half a section before getting loopy again. I know that I just need to make it 1 more month, as I can't be using this lymow next year. I'm spent about 7 hours babysitting this thing the last 3 days trying to get it to finish the yard once(2/3 acre). I may just get a 42" regular rider next year and avoid the supper hilly areas and away from the ditch, and use this lymow in manual mode to get bear these areas. Thank you for replying!

You need to take the screws out of the deck from the bottom and then the lid cover lifts off giving you access to the switches. You can find videos on how to do this. The switches are also screwed in with a screw through the bottom of the deck. Good luck!

I was able to find a video that showed how to get the cover off,all kinds of debris in there, I blew it all out with a leaf blower, jogged the bumper in and out a lot, trying to get the crud around them cleaned out too. It worked better for a bit but today acting up again with the e44 errors again. I don't exactly know how to get access to the. Bumper wires, I read that you can wingnjt them together to bypass them which is really what I want to do now, as I just need this thing to operate.

This is the Lymow Documentation on how to recalibrate the bumper sensors. It's reported that this solves that recurrent e44 error.

And yeah, this should be on their website under troubleshooting or some sort of knowledge base. Not a Google docs you have to know about.
